David Engel returned my phone call promptly and came out on Saturday of the same week to remove a yellow jacket's nest from our back yard where my children play. He got stuck in traffic but called to alert us to the fact that he'd be late, and he took 10% off the price because of it, which I appreciated. He removed the nest and gave us some important information about keeping our kids safe after the removal. (Apparently dead yellow jackets can sting, so no bare feet in the back yard for a while!) We appreciated his knowledge and thoroughness and will call on him again should the need arise.

He did a job. He did what he said he would do for the price he would do it for. The wasps have not returned.

First, the provider was very punctual in returning my call - literally a few minutes after I left a VM. After I described the problem, he set up a time to come out the next day to provide the service. He was very prompt in keeping the appointment on the day scheduled. After he arrived, he quickly assessed the problem, proposed a solution, and got right to work. The price I paid was the same as the verbal quote he gave me over the phone. He was only here an hour and the bees were almost all gone before the end of the day; after two days, I didn't see any more bees. He promised to return, at no additional charge, if the bees came back in the next two months. He also told me how to prevent their return in the spring, by sealing up all openings around the steps and the front porch. He seemed very knowledgeable about the problem and was very professional in conducting his work. I'd definitely use him again for bees or any other pest problem, and I certainly recommend him strongly. I only rated his price as 'B' because it seemed a little high for an hour's work, but that did include all materials and comparatively speaking, I'm sure it's fair.

The service provider, David Engel, answered my call the day before and we discussed the problem, the probable solution, an estimated cost, and approximate time of arrival. He arrived promptly to my home and was professional and courteous in manner. He explained that I had a paper wasp nest attached to my home, and that he would remove it from the property and treat the site of the removed nest with an organic pesticide that would last for 6 months. He further explained to not step on any dead wasps or let any of my pets eat one for at least 24 hours. He accepted a check for $125 in payment. It is a fair price, I am just very frugal. The job was performed expertly, efficiently, and effectively. I would highly recommend this service provider.

Contractor was called on Monday evening and showed up the next morning IN THE RAIN!! He examined the tree and removed the nest and treated the tree to insure that the hornets would not returne. Additionally he provided a guarantee to cover the next season if any pest returned. Very pleased with the service when considering most of the contractors on Angie's list did not perform services in Prince Georges County. And those who could, would not respond without a 2-week waiting time.

Mr. Engel was very professional and knowledgeable. His treatment took care of the problem and we haven't seen any bees around the nest since he came out to our house. He knew exactly how to take care of this problem for us which we were grateful for since the bees had been flying into our house with the nest being so close to our door. We called David Engel on a Tuesday for a Friday evening appointment, which he accommodated. He arrived on time, and prepared. He quickly took care of the yellow jacket's nest, and stuck around to answer my husband's questions on dealing with other stinging insects. quick responsive knowledgable communicative and professional- well worth the $150 to get this highly specialized and acccomplished guy to remove bees - generic exterminatorr would have cost as much and not have been as sharp IMO DONT even think about doing this yourself-you will be stung - MULTIPLE times ! call bee be gone !

What a wonderful experience. I found David Engel's company on Angie's List. Someone noticed I had a large insect nest on one of my azalea bushes. We thought it might be yellow jackets. I needed to find someone and of course went immediately to Angie's List. That is where I found BeeBeGone which specializes in the removal of insect nests. I liked the professional and straightforward web site. I called David, he answered, said he could come the next day between 1 and 3 pm, he did, he looked at the nest, immediately identified it as a hornets' nest, suited up, cut the large nest out of the azalea, sprayed the entire area with a white substance, and told me to stay clear of the area for 2-3 days and to call him back if the nest returned within 10 days. It has not. He also wrote all this information on the invoice he gave me. He took the initiative to give me a 10 percent discount for finding him on Angie's List, and he cost much less than other companies I saw on Angie's List. He left within 30 minutes. Very very professional and a very very nice person and highly competent. Hope I have no more insect problems but if I do, I would definitely call David again.

He/his company specializes in hornets, carpenter bees and other comparable insects that he can destroy the nest; as honeybees are endangered, other procedures are best followed to minimize the damage and attracting other bees, ants and rodents. I called him twice prior and during the 'structural removal'' as I was having difficulty with the structural removal process not going well (it took two days in the den and bedroom to access the bees due to the sloped roof, insulation in the walls and sheet rock composition). It was never clear that all bees were removed and many entered my bedroom overnight during the removal process in a tented area. David offered some advice and made some recommendations--again very professionally especially about a licensed beekeeper--also hard to find and not achieved.I was grateful for his knowledge and suggestions and time spent. considering he wasn't earning from this problem getting resolved.

Came the same day we called. Identified type of menacing wasp (proved to be harmless to humans), and sprayed two exterior nests with pesticide dust (also harmless to humans). Wasps have disappeared. Dave (owner of business) was polite, punctual, professional, and very knowledgable. We would contact BeeBeGone again if needed, and we recommend the company to others.

Mr. Engel not only provided a service, he didn't charge me. I sent an email with three images attached with the subject line "Who Done It?" I explained that while I hadn't seen any insects buzzing around, I was reluctant to knock down the nests without pertinent information and asked if this was something a professional needed to ake care of - namely, David Engel. This pro very kindly told me "harmless and beneficial Spider Feeding Muddauber Wasps" made these mud cells that I can knock down myself in the late fall. For sure, I will be a paying customer should I need his services in the future.

Just excellent! We called first thing in the morning and Dave asked for us to text our information saying he thought he'd be able to come later that day. He called later and said he could be over in 30-45 minutes and arrived on time. He efficiently assessed the situation, explained the problem and plan, and executed the plan all within about 30 mins. He gave a detailed written explanation and timeline for what to expect in the coming weeks.

They responded to my call within a couple of hours and removed the hornet's nest the next day. His customer service was also impeccable. He followed up with a call immediately after removing the nest to let me know it was complete and to give me instructions about staying away from the area for a couple of days. However, he was able to give me some advice regarding my problem and it was resolved successfully. So although I would like to use their services, I am unable to.

Fantastic! Dave Engel is the proprietor of Bee-Be-Gone and did the service himself. He came by the same day I called, which was a nice surprise. He explained what I had, how it got there and what he was going to do. He finished the job in just half an hour. Some things I found interesting: when he can, Dave relocates hives to a farm rather than routinely destroying them. (Hornets, he says, are predators -a natural pest control and useful in the right place.) He explained the nature of the pesticide he was applying to the house to prevent the hornets from rebuilding, told me what to expect over the next few days, what to avoid, and what to look for if they came back. On top of all that, he provides a six-month guarantee. If they come back and rebuild, he'll remove the nest again at no charge. All in writing. I couldn't be happier with the service.
