Dave came out to our new home in Fulton, MD. about 3 times. We had several issues. I'd had him help us with carpenter bees at our old house in College Park. He found we had carpenter bees in our deck supports/ paper wasps in the outside bar area & fence/ and we had cicada killers in the lawn. He got rid of the paper wasps (right before my kid's party) and the carpenter bees. He applied a powder pesticide. Also, he injected deep into the lawn, a powder pesticide to kill the ground dwellers. He has always been professional and courteous, and if you listen to him a wealth of knowledge! I've learned more about bee-havior (pardon) from him than anyone/where else - he really knows his stuff. On his advice, we took the recommended steps to prevent the carpenter bees and they did not return this spring. However, the cicada killers did, it appears there isn't much you can do once they have a foothold, so I just let them go this year. NOW I have an even bigger infestation than last year, which he said was large. ): ( I always appreciate that Dave will come as fast as he can even when he is very busy (July and August are his busiest bee times.) I will highly recommend Dave and Bee Be Gone.

This was the 1st tie I've called an exterminator for anything and overall my experience was very positive. He was professional and polite over the phone when I called to arrange for services When he arrived at my house, he explained what he was going to do before he did it He removed the nest quickly and completely (it was 100+ degrees outside) He left me w/ follow up information (e.g.what to expect next, when to call them again, stay away from pesticides...).

David was very professional and completed his work promptly.

The overall experience was very positive. He was on-time. He came in, found the sight, suited up and took care of the situation. Removed a nest the size of a half loaf of bread. Gave us instruction on what we should look for over the coming days. Told us when and how we should cover the hole. Warned us not to walk around in that area with out shoes for a few days because stingers on the dead wasps can still work for a while. Said that he would come back if he missed a part of the nest. He was done in a half hour or so. The following day or 2, we saw a 3 or 4 in the basement. But there was no more activity afterwards. We plugged the hole.

FANTASTIC service, reliable, on time and very knowledgeable about yellow jackets and how to keep home clear of pests in general. I like how he called ahead to let us know when he was coming and how quickly he was able to come when scheduling the appointment. Very friendly and much cheaper than other major pest exterminators since he honored the Angie's List coupon. David is literally a one man wrecking crew when it comes to yellow jackets; you don't see this kind of customer service very often but when you do it makes you want to tell the world. Make sure you call David to set up the appointment and not email him for prompter response. A++

Wow! Found Bee Be Gone's listing on Angie's list, called this morning around 10 a.m. and David was at my house 45 minutes later! Never expected to be able to have someone come out so quickly! Extremely courteous and professional. Walked me through the steps he was going to take before he started, explaining that he would spray a botanical based insecticide into the nest to kill the hornets, remove the nest from the side of our house, and then spray a botanical based residual insecticide where the rest was to kill any hornets that returned to the nest. We have pets, and the nest was directly above the side of our garden, so he used botanical based products, which I appreciate greatly. Additionally, he even borrowed my grill cover and used it to cover my tomato plants (which were directly under the nest) to protect them while he worked. We walked out back afterwards so he could show me what he'd done, and he explained in detail the steps that we needed to take next, in terms of avoiding the area for 3-5 days while hornets returned to the area and were killed by the residual, explaining that they'd sting anything with a heat signature, emitting CO2, and that we'd want to wear shoes in the area for the next 10 days to avoid stepping on (and getting stung by) dead hornets. Very, very thorough. I've never used an exterminator for work like this, so find it hard to comment/rate on price...but the price seemed reasonable for what he did (he was here about an hour), given the risk involved in the work he was doing. He also guarantees his work for 6 months, should they start to try to rebuild in the same area. I'd definitely recommend them, and would use them again if needed.

A population of yellowjackets decided to create their own metropolis in the facade of my home. I tried to save money by trying two different products I purchased at Home Depot, but they weren't potent enough. I called David. He gave me a courtesy call when he was on his way, which I appreciated (especially after being stood up by a different company yesterday). He arrived on time, quickly assessed the problem, and left me feeling 100% certain that calling him was the smartest choice I've made all week. The wasp problem turned out to be far worse than I imagined. I typically saw a dozen wasps flying to and from the facade of my house, but there was far more activity in there (>1000 wasps). If I ever have a pest problem again, I'll just call Be Bee Gone first thing. Update: 3 days after treatment No more wasp activity in the area that was treated. Thanks, David! Update: 2 weeks after treatment No wasp activity. Success!

David promptly return my initial call (I left a voice mail). He came on time. Conveyed his assessment in an up front manner. Knowledgeable and appeared to understand my concerns. Too early to see results. A follow-up service is coming up.

Overall it was an educational experience that resulted in me knowing how I can address some of my bug issues myself. He is of course willing to do a lot of it, but he tells you where you can save money and do it yourself. Give him a call.

we called for hornet removal, they answered the phone on Sunday, said someone would be out and they were. took about 15 minutes, then the technician took a look around the yard and house to make sure no more where around. all together he was here about 30 minutes.

After noticing ant hills outside of our house and seeing a 1-3 ants per day inside the home, I called David and setup an appointment for him to come evaluate the scenario and start attacking the problem. David was very polite on the phone and quickly lined up a service date. Upon inspecting the house interior as well as the exterior perimeter, David delivered the realization that there was nothing he could do as the problem was largely environmental due to the heavily wooded lot where our house resides. Having a service provider be so upfront and honest about when he can and cannot help was refreshing. David walked the entire perimeter of the home and inspected each room inside the house and composed a lengthy list adjustments I should address to help change the environment to not make things so hospitable for ants. He also recommended a specific brand of ant granules to use to combat the outside ant colonies. This is the kind of customer service I thought was gone in 2011. David's extensive knowledge and his willingness to teach others was well worth the cost of his visit. I followed David's advice and my problems appear to be corrected.

I had crickets, carpenter bees, stink bugs and other small insects that were coming into my housse frequently last year. Dave came this year and plugged all the poossible entrance ways into ny house to prevent these insects from getiing in. It took him a while to complete the job but he was very thorough, professiional and quite knowledgable about the different types of insects and when to expect them during the year. I have virtually nonew insects since he completed this job. Wouldn't hesitate to use him again if I needed to, however, I don't think I will.

David from Bee Be Gone received our call and was able to fit us in his schedule within a couple of days. He gave us a two-hour window and forewarned us that he could be an hour or two on either side of that window but that he would call an hour before his arrival. That was perfect for us because it meant we could run local Saturday errands and not be held "hostage" at our house all day. As promised, David called and was on-schedule and within the original window. He spent 2+ hours inspecting our property for the wood boring bees and wasps and other stinging species and described in great detail what we had, where they were, what was attracting them, how he would treat the problem, what we could do to our deck and gazebo and siding/shutters to minimize the problem, etc. The short version of the story is that David is a walking encyclopedia of useful information that the homeowner can use to help minimize the problem AND he was able to treat the problem while there. In fact, we were relieved to see some of the wood boring bees flew out and died almost as soon as he treated one of the holes in the wooden screened-in-gazebo where they fly in and out. He showed us where they are eating away at the structure. He explained what we needed to do NOW, what we could do "down the road", and basically gave us a plan. David is extremely knowledgeable (and not just about the bees, wasps, mud-daubers, etc.) - he gave us information about some other pest problems we're having. It is so evident that David is honest and really believes in providing first-rate service to his customers. We absolutely will use him again!!! We are impressed with what we got for the price; he truly provides value for the money and truly cares about what he does!

They came back and started making another nest about a month or two later. They came back and didn?t charge anything to get rid of them the second time.

David was very professional and very knowledgeable about bees (and a lot of other pests). I would definitely hire David again for any pest problems.

David showed me where the bees had drilled holes in my patio roofing beams and explained what bees 'do'. He also looked at another area in my backyard and discovered bee holes there. He looked at my fencing and gave solid, practical advice about things I could do to minimize the potential for having bugs destroy the wood structures all over my yard.

David came out and meticulously inspected my house. He also taught me what I needed to do to prevent the ants from coming back. He is relied upon to do the best job that can be done, quickly and efficiently. In addition, he is considerate, cooperative and willing to go out of his way. Most importantly, he is detailed in the job he is doing and I was impressed with his work ethic. I would recommend him highly to anyone needing this service.

*Please note that I do not have the invoice in front of me so the cost, above, may be higher than it actually was.* I was running late, but representative kindly waited for me in my driveway until I got home and we spoke via cell phone as I was making my way home. When I arrived, per my authorization, he had already surveyed my yard and found the yellow jacket nest I had described. We reviewed the treatment plan and he proceeded with treatment after my authorization. After treatment he fully explained how the product would continue to work to fully irradicate the nest, any precautions necessary (he advised keeping children and pets away for 10 days minimum because of the possibility of angry yellowjackets in the area), as well as how to prevent reinfestation. He also commented on other areas of our yard which were succeptible to infestation by yellow jackets or other stinging insects common to our area and made recommendations for simple things we could do over the winter to prevent problems in the spring. Very professional, highly responsive, reasonable fees. I will absolutely call them again.

THe hornets were coming and going. We didn't want them to be there too long. We called them at lunch time and he was out at our house in the middle of the afternoon. He was really quick. He told us everything we needed to know about bees, wasps, and hornets. He guaranteed his work. He said that if it didn't work he would come back even 6 months later. His work took care of the problem the first time. The service was very prompt, and he was very knowledgeable.

We were concerned about a yellow jacket nest that was right off our deck over a kitchen window. There were too many bees near our door! We called Bee Be Gone after lunch on 8/30 and left a message. He returned the call 2 minutes later and was at our house a few hours later. He explained all we needed to know about what he was doing and also said that it was OK to do nothing. They would die off when it got cold. But we wanted them gone and he took care of it right then. He said we may see more as new ones hatch out but they should be totally gone by mid October. Actually, they were gone by the next day and we have only seen a few stragglers since. He guarantees his work so he would come back if this didn't fix the problem. Overall, he was great and would use him again.

David gave our ant situation personal and knowledgable attention to finally get rid of a long-standing problem in a focused approach. We felt good that he didn't generically try to spray everything (we have young children) like the "big box" pest control services do. Bottom line is he seems to get the best results with the least amount of chemicals because he really knows his insects!

I left a message on his phone & he returned my call w/in hours. He came as planned at 6:30 AM fully equipped to do the job. He spent about an hour & then spent time giving detailed information.
