Angie's list advertised the service provider for Hartford County. I am on the southern end of Hartford County - closest to the rest of their service area. This was a simple waste of time, because of false advertising. I'm pretty displeased with Angie's list for advertising something that wasn't available, then having to go through run-around of getting a refund.

Brian checked the air conditioning inside and outside. He checked the coolant levels, pressure and other vital parts. He was pleasant and professional the entire service. He pleasantly answered my many questions and even changed the furnace filter for me. He discovered a potential problem, and corrected the problem. Always like preventive measures. I will have him perform my Air Conditioning Tune-up every year.

He found a leak in our coil, he tried to repair leak but could not and coil replacement is required. He was very helpful, knowledgeable and professional.

My expectations were not too high based on the deal that I was getting. However, the guy was nice, very accommodative on scheduling and rescheduling. I would use this service provider again!

Bryan is a great. Between the time of when I made my appointment, the temps hit the 90s and it was hot in here. So I e-mailed him to let him know about my A/C unit freezing up to the point where no air comes out of the vents. He replied the same night to let me know what I can do to get by til the appointment. This helped a lot. On the day of the appointment, he arrived to my home within the time frame agreed on. He inspected my A/C unit and gave it a shot of refrigerant. It worked and everything seems to be back to normal. My A/C unit is 20 years old so I asked him if it was at that stage of needing to be replaced or any major repairs. He said that the system is in pretty good shape for its age. The only thing that he saw, that might go due to the age, is a contactor. He gave me an estimate on it if does go bad. All in all, I feel like he did a good job for a fair price. I will be using his services again.

Did an efficient job. Bryan waived a large "up charge " when cleaning didn't have desired effect on the unit. I believe it was an honest job and I would hire this company again.

Our old HVAC system in our house in Maryland needed repairs. We had made multiple repairs over the past few years and when we heard what needed to be fixed we decided to have it replaced instead. We requested several quotes and ultimately decided to go with Bryan because of his good reviews and we like to support small businesses. The house is currently rented out although we hope to move back in so we wanted a good quality, efficient and reliable system. After speaking with Bryan over the phone he was able to schedule installation through our property manager and I met him the day after the installation to see the system and pay him. Everything went smoothly and the tenants are happy with the new HVAC system.

Tech came by on Thursday but was unable to work on unit as it was frozen up. He set it up to dethaw overnight and said he would return the next day to service. He ended up getting stuck on another job and wasn't able to make it out till about 8pm, but stayed in constant communication the entire time. He was very professional and went out of his way to make sure we didn't have to spend another miserable night without ac. The unit ended up needing 3 pounds of freon so 1 pound was covered with the angies list deal and the other 2 pounds cost $130 which I feel was responsible.

Bryan was great! On time, within budget and we have signed an on-going maintenance agreement with him. Recommend them very highly.

I called Bryan on a weekend to schedule installation for a computerized thermostat. Even though he was busy, he was at my house an hour later and went straight to work. While he was working, I mentioned my dryer was not heating up...he took it upon himself to take a look at that (discovered that the heating element was bad). I will definitely be calling Bryan when it is time to install my new heat pump/AC unit. Highly recommended.

I had several companies look at the problem and assess how to fix it and the cost. Ambient was the most thorough and, to my surprise, far underbid the other companies. The owner is clean-cut, professional and knows what he's doing. The complete system was removed from the roof of my home and replaced with a far more energy efficient unit, along with the ductwork and insulation. He left my home clean and in good order. I am toasty warm as I write this review.

My heater stopped lighting the day my family arrived to stay until thanksgiving. I called and left a message and got a call back within ten minutes. He was at my house an hour later, found the problem, and fixed the heat. He then spent the next 20 minutes investigating the furnace because it looked off and he wanted to make sure we didn't have a cracked heat exchanger. He took the suspicious burner apart and put it back together in 20 minutes, checked to make sure everything was together correctly and not leaking, and all I had to pay was the service charge since he didn't use any parts and was here for less than an hour.

Brian had other projects, so he came only when they were finished, Example: on 10/24/13 he came at 4PM and found the freon was low. 10/25/13 he found and fixed the leak in the compressor. 10/29/13 he vacumed the line and unit but he didn't have suffecient amount of freon, then on 10/30/13 he came and added the freon the the unit needed and pronounced the unit good to go. In the meantime, I was on Emergency Heat (10/24/13-10/30/13).

Awesome job. Clean. Professional. And both units now cool like new. He even came back to double check for leaks a week later as one unit was quite low on refrigerant. Will definitely call again and reccomend.

The vendor contacted me the evening I paid for special and arrived at my home the next morning. Wow!! The vendor reported he completed a 14 point inspection and add ac coolant. He conducted another diagnostic and charged me an additional diagnostic fee of $95.00. The diagnostic indicated I need a part that cost $595.00 and he could return a few days later to install. After paying the $95.00 diagnostic fee, vendor called back a few hours later to report he did not check air filter. I went to the local home improvement store and purchase disposal air filter. Later that evening, I had my AC blowing out cool air. Vendor contacted me the next day stating he had the part and I told him my ac is working and no need to return. He indicated he would return check and I received Ambient business check a few weeks later (vendor accidently cashed check).

It went well. He had to reschedule the time throughout the day because of another call but he knew my schedule was flexible for the day. He went over what he looked at and gave a summary of what he found.

He is very professional. He gave me the courtesy to call me a half hour before he showed up. He had the material in hand, did what he had to do, not pushy or tried to sell anything. I was the one asking him questions the whole time. I am actually going to go with him to get a service contract and use him a regular basis.

The work was really good. He was 5 stars all the way. He showed up promptly and did the work he said he was going to do. I do need service on my furnace, so I will be calling him in the fall to perform the furnace work. I was thoroughly impressed with the service.

The work went very well. We have used him twice. The first time was for the tune-up, in which he solved an issue I was having with my A/C by adding Freon. There was an additional issue he diagnosed, and a second visit was set up to perform that repair. The repair work involved replacing a coil on one of the back burners. So far so good!
