The Gutter Guys

On 08/01 I called to schedule an appointment for an estimate to have the gutters on our townhouse replaced. I was immediately set up with an appointment for Friday, 08/04, with James to come give us an estimate. He was super friendly and was extremely patient with our "guard" dog who eventually even warmed up to him. He said that the office would call in two weeks to schedule. Well installation was understandably pushed back due to substantial rain in the previous week, but I received a phone call on Monday of that week (08/14) anyway to let me know that it would be sometime the following week, which I appreciated. The next week I had not heard anything by Thursday (08/24), so I called to see if there was any news on when we would be getting our new gutters (we are having water damage to an interior wall due to a gutter problem and we can't start fixing it until the gutters are replaced) and I was told that they would look into it and I would get a call back. I received a call a few hours later that they would be coming the following day (08/25) sometime in the afternoon for the gutter installation. We were there when the three guys came around 4:30 PM and they got right to work. My husband went out and asked if they could reattach the piece of fascia wood that looked like it was coming undone under the one gutter as that seemed to be causing the water damage in our living room, which was not a problem. We had plans that evening so I let them know on our way out that I had just called the office to pay by credit card. When we got home, we had new gutters with gutter guards, new downspouts, and a pole and brush on our porch! Since they started working so fast we didn't catch all of their names, but the receipt said the foreman was Eric. Everything looks so great and matches our neighborhood requirements for color. My gutters decided to fail, during the rainiest week of a very rainy summer. Water was coming in through my front door and exterior walls and I was literally at wit’s end. I called The Gutter Guys late Friday and they had an estimator out to my house by the next business day. James, the estimator, arrived in the middle of a raging thunderstorm. He didn’t complain even though I dragged him out in the driving rain to witness my broken gutter. He was familiar with the type of gutter protection system I had and said that his company could repair it and rehang the gutter properly (part of the problem was that the gutter was originally installed too low relative to the roof line). Furthermore, the work done would be covered by a lifetime guarantee against clogging and material failure. Work on this project was scheduled within two weeks of the estimate. Josh and Steve arrived on time and after explaining to me what they would be doing, went right to work. They completed the job in about three hours. I particularly appreciated that Josh pointed out a piece of rotting fascia board that had previously been hidden behind the gutter. They also took note of my concern about my slate roof and cable connections and took special care not to disturb the shingles or the cables. Two hours after Josh and Steve completed their work, another thunderstorm arrived. The repaired gutters performed perfectly. This company was a pleasure to work with at every point of contact. The price charged was fair and the employees very professional. I am a very satisfied customer.

Fine, but the proper functioning of the gutter was not tested. They returned and tested for leaks and there were none.

Probably a good company - but make sure you are not in a hurry. They can't do estimates for about three weeks. You need to have a very flexible schedule and/or take off work to have an estimate completed - they don't do anything in the evenings or Saturdays.

Met with "James," an Estimator, with The Gutter Guys on 6/15/17. As I wanted work done on my entire house, we discussed my options and he was very informative. What I liked about The Gutter Guys was that their gutters are "seamless" and are reasonably priced (my whole house for just under $2,000). "Dan," the Scheduling Manager and Owner, informed me on July 19th that their people would be arriving at my home the next day. On July 20th at 11:30 A.M., right on time, "Eric" and his 2-man crew arrived and began the work of removing the old gutters/rainspouts from my house. With intense heat near 100 degrees, all 3 men went about their work in a methodical manner and pleasantly answered my questions. Then they began to hand-craft all the new, larger 6-inch gutters and downspouts. They, in turn, were mounted to the house, and afterwards "Eric" and his crew cleaned up my yard. In all, the work was completed in 4 1/2 hours. I KNOW FIRST-HAND WHAT A GREAT JOB THEY DO, HAVING USED THE GUTTER GUYS BACK IN 2013 AT MY FORMER HOME IN BALTIMORE CITY. THEIR "6-INCH GUTTERS" ARE THE BEST VALUE, SO I HAVE FOUND. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND MAKE THE GUTTER GUYS YOUR CHOICE TOO!

Fantastic! Gutter Guys provides great service (Steve C. and Rob R.). Had leak at gutter angle/miter and they came out to seal it. Also nearby down spout had brackets near top and bottom, but middle near seam was beginning to bow away from home (have really strong winds on that side of home). Gutter Guys installed their no show bracket to hold center of downspout close to home. Gutter Guys also cleaned and flushed gutters and discovered leak at another miter, which they sealed too. I had used Gutter Guys in 2013 to reinstall a different downspout that had blown down in heavy wind. Have had no problems with that downspout and Gutter Guys no show bracket. So it Gutter Guys earned right to be my “go to” provider for gutter/downspout repairs service. Have tall two+ story home with hard surfaces, basement stairwell, extensive flower beds and electric lines near gutters. Also I have neither extension ladder nor foolishness to attempt that type of job myself! With all the rain we have had this spring, it made perfect sense to protect my home and have the job done both quickly and professionally. Gutter Guys with Steve C. and Rob R. at Golden Ring location are great! Keep up the fantastic service!

Promptly after I contact the Gutter Guys, James scheduled an appointment. He arrived on the day and time, inspected my current system, and offered three options. He described and explained each option thoroughly and patiently answered all of my questions. A few days later, I called to change my order which was handled with no problems. I was called around 4 weeks later as promised to schedule the exact date. A two-man crew arrived on the date and on time. They discovered two downspouts clogged at ground level where they drain underground and two that needed elbows replaced. Replacing the downspouts and elbows did not affect the final cost, I paid the estimate on the contract (minus 10% discount as Angie's List member). I am very pleased with the performance of my gutters and downspouts, with the service of James and Josh, and with the price, and am happy to recommend the Gutter Guys.

I'm experiencing them now, they haven't done the work yet. It was a good estimate. The work will be done soon. We're on a contract. The estimate was free, based on the estimate they were quite knowledgeable. He gave me options, he told me what the most expensive things would be and the least expensive things. I like that. I talked to various other companies over the phone and they related to my problem right away. They kind of basically understood my issue and gave me a solution over the phone. I felt real comfortable.

Very well all gutters cleaned and all debris removed.

They did fine. I think they did a really good job except they forgot one place. So, I have to call them back to get them to do that, but I can also do it, it's not that big of a deal.It's overlooked because it's in a weird place, that's just how it is. Their price is reasonable. They did flush the gutters. It was raining a lot in May and there was a lot of days when they couldn't work. I had called them out about a month before my gutters were cleaned, but I didn't get any information. There was no call saying I'm sorry it's going to be delayed blah, blah, blah.

The crew showed when the said they would. They were absolute pros, answered all my questions, consulted on all details of the reworked sections. Cannot say enough about how pleased I was with the timely fashion they got the job done. Fantastic crew.

We had a challenging gutter issue and, while initially there were some issues, The Gutter Guys were extremely responsive and worked to fix the issue until we were satisfied. I was very impressed with the customer service!

Staff responded to phone and text inquiries regarding work scheduling, because weather and work loads made the exact date uncertain at first. I was informed several days before actual work was performed. Gutters were cleaned as requested.

They were good. They did a good job. They cleaned up behind themselves and everything. They were very professional. They were cheaper than my last replacement and these are bigger than what was removed. It was a good price. They use good materials. They set up and appoint and they were there on time. They were very responsive. I would use them again if I need new gutters.

I didn't go with them. It was a good estimate. Prompt, professional. They were responsive and honest. They didn't do any work, as a company they seem to be a very good business. They did not get down to pricing. They were right there when they said they would. I would if I had any gutter situations.
