We have hardwood floors throughout but we do have carpeted stairways going upstairs and then down to the basement. We just needed a shampoo because we are just that lazy not to do it ourselves. They did an okay job and they were real quick. I don’t remember how much I paid but I think it was reasonable. I have a dog that likes to lie on the steps and look out the front door. So wherever he rests his chin, after a while it leaves a brown spot behind. They did not get the brown spots out. It’s just a part of the carpet now I guess. Overall they did an okay job. One of the carpets, the one leading down to the basement is decades old, must be twenty or twenty five years old. They did the best they could and it doesn’t look like new. I’m sure it’s got up dirt and it doesn’t look any different to me frankly. They were prompt and responsible. They were professional. When it comes to quality I don’t see a difference before and after the cleaning. I would probably not use their services again in the future.

Awesome. They got market, crayon and spilled sippy cups and remanent water stains from our attempt to clean the sofas ourselves completely out! My husband stayed at home while they performed the work and I was stunned when I walked in the door that evening. They looked brand new. The carpets- my daughter had a runny accident on the floor one time when she wasn't wearing a diaper. We cleaned it up but it did leave a stain. That was gone too. Would use again in a heartbeat.

Two technicians arrived right on schedule. The company called a day before to remind us they were coming. We were given instructions of what we had to move, and what they would move (just about everything but the electronics, which I removed, and some small breakables.). Shane and William came in with their equipment confirmed we were having carpets cleaned int he living room, the hallway and the master bedroom. These carpets (wall to wall) are over 30 years old. Shane was surprised they were in such good condition, but stained and dirt encrusted (we have had dogs all those years). They did a great job. Shane asked if we would like the carpeting stain protected and odorized. It was an extra $70.00 to do both treatments to all the carpets - (That is included in the price above). When finished, your furniture is on small styrofoam or plastic wedges to keep both the carpet safe from absorbing any colors from your furniture material. We easily removed them the next day. The materials used as "Green coded" and safe to walk on and for your pets to walk on, even before dry. I had an extra throw rig (circular and 5 feet in diameter cleaned as well for an extra $12.50 -- included in price above. Cleaning only would have been $214.00. They cleaned quickly, and left everything in excellent shape. That carpets look great.

I LOVE THE RESULTS!!!!! :) The carpets look and smell so clean and fresh. The sofas look new I will be using them again and asking for Pete and Trey. They were VERY neat and professional. The service was very quick and very detailed.

It went well. I was scheduled for a Monday and I was on their cancellation list so that if an opportunity became available I could get the carpets cleaned sooner. They called me on the Friday before the scheduled date at lunch time and they showed up that afternoon.

It went very well. They were on time and did everything that needed to be done. I was very happy with the service.

They were thorough, and gave a great explanation of what they were going to do. They were very detailed and communicated very well. I would consider using them again in the future.

They came, cleaned the carpets and left. There was nothing special about it. I was not unhappy with their work. I don?t remember if they were punctual.

They did what they said they would do. They were professional and they came in and did the job right away. We have used them for a couple of years because we think they are very reliable.

It was very easy to make the appointment; they showed up on time and were very professional. They moved the lightweight furniture and even a few of the heavier items. Everything was put on foam blocks or plastic. It looked great when wet, but all of the more soiled or stained areas went back to looking dirty as the carpet dried. I wasn't fond of the pressure to have the deodorizer applied. It took 2 days for the carpet to dry which was surprising. When it did dry it felt stiff and "crunchy" which took a lot of vacuuming to get rid of.

I believe there was a communication problem w/ the person w/ whom I made the appointment which resulted in my paying more than expected..I was not happy w/ this outcome. I looked up this business in one of my Angie's List booklets. When I called them, I informed them I was a member and found their ad in the booklet. I explained what I wanted cleaned and specifically asked about enzymatic deodorizer as I have animals and informed the person I wanted this service. I was then quoted a price of $399.00. I went ahead and made the appointment. Shortly after the techs arrived and started cleaning, I checked w/ one of them about the deodorizer and he stated this was not on the service form he had from the office. I told him I had asked for the service and still wanted it. This was an additional $142.00 charge I was not expecting. As they had already started their cleaning, I did agree to pay the additional amount. Had this fee been included in the initial price, I would have continued to obtain estimates from other companies before making an appointment w/ Stanley Steemer. I want to believe this was truly a communication issue and somewhere along the way the deodorizer was mistakenly left off the service order. It's possible I was not clear in expressing what I wanted, but I believe I did. It's hard for me to believe that a company advertising in the Angie's List magazine would attempt to add hidden charges, especially when they specifically state in their ad they don't. Anyway, its over and done w/. I'm pleased w/ the work but don't know if I would use them again.

I used the website to get an estimate and schedule an appointment-it was very easy, and the estimate was fairly accurate (I had not originally intended to get the protectant, but decided to add it at the time of service). I was contacted once to verify the estimate, and to confirm the time of the appointment. I scheduled the appointment for about 3 days out; there were lots of available appointment times, so it was easy to find a time that fit with my schedule. I received a call that morning to confirm their arrival time. The two men who performed the cleaning were very professional and did an excellent job. They did a good job explaining the drying time frame, and when to remove the little furniture protectors, etc. They did a great job putting protectors under all my wood and delicate furniture. While they were cleaning, a supervisor also showed up to review their performance. Overall, I was very pleased with the cleaning and the overall experience.

Very professional - like my last experience with Stanley Steemer. They were timely in arrival, and did a thorough job. I have recommended them to friends.

They didn't come out but I gave them the details on my house so they gave me an estimate. They seemed very professional like they knew what they were doing.

We have used Stanley Steemer many times--not sure which location because we call the 800 number. However, the crews are always clean, polite, well trained and very helpful. No long waits--they are usually available within a few days of my call. Best carpet/furniture cleaning service I've even used price is competitive, too, although the add ons (deodorant, protector) can really run up the cost. In any case, I highly recommend them.

They showed up on time. They cleaned up everything when they were done. There were no water spots on the carpet when they were done. The office gave me a call thirty minutes after they were done to see if I was happy with the work.

Philip called when he was on his way, arrived a little after 12 noon which was at the beginning of the 12-2 time frame given. He and his helper, Bruce, were cheerful, efficient and thorough. They reviewed the areas to be cleaned, got to it and were finished within an hour. We were very pleased with the service.

The servicemen were very polite, attentive, careful, and thorough. Quick, too! Although I wasn't sure that they had gotten everything out when the carpet was still wet, I was quite pleased once the carpet was dry. The only spots left were red ones that I got out myself afterward with the touch of a bleach pen (off-white carpet). I'm not sure why they wouldn't have done something similar themselves, however. Then it would have been perfect.

Stanley was very neat and professional. They worked quickly but did a thorough and wonderful job. The men were clean cut, friendly and efficient and my carpet looks fantastic! They were slightly expensive, but definitely worth the extra money.

They were able to get out all of the stains. They were very prompt, courteous and seemed to be very professional. They just did a fantastic job on my carpet and everything dried quickly within 4 hours. Their price is very competitive as well.

They arrived on time and were very thorough in their work. I liked the fact that they put the furniture up on blocks so it didn't ruin the furniture legs by being wet. They did move some of the furniture for me and when they were finished, they put it back.

They took their time to try to get the stains out.

$154 is the price I was quoted on the phone, but I was braced for the hard upsell to the real cleaning package when the technician actually arrived. Especially since this carpet had never been professionally cleaned since it was laid approx. 18 years ago. But no upsell -- the completed job was only $154! Plus, he was early, polite and respectful of the furniture. There were a few ancient stains he couldn't get out, but all in all, I'm very happy with the job.

The office also called to confirm the job the day before and also called after job was done. When they did initially confirm the estimate, they kindly suggested a significant service upgrade that only cost an additional $2.
