Called To prune larger tree. They provided a quote to prune, and install a retention cable I upper branches, With an optional quote For fertilization. I asked How much for just the pruning and the cost was over $700. (783 I think). They said that was their minimum charge for Coming to my area (Potomac). Did not use, to expensive. They were Prompt on showing up for the estimate and otherwise Courteous, but I did not use

In summary: They dropped a tree branch on my house, and didn't make it right. On the day of the trimming, I was told I didn't need to be at home. I didn't stay home, as I had just started a new job and didn't want to take time off so soon. That was my big mistake. When I arrived home that evening, I found my ceiling cracked and plaster from the ceiling all over the floor. There was no hole in the roof, but the roof was dented in (like something heavy had been dropped on it). The next day I called the company and they said the work crew denied dropping anything on my house. The office staff strung me along for a week, then finally told me to file a claim with my own insurance company and that they wouldn't speak with me anymore. A year later, I am still out my $1000 deductible plus my rates have gone up because I no longer have a "no claim" history. To add insult to injury, they returned this year to do a tree health service (without contacting me first, natch), and are now billing me for that even though I called them immediately afterwards and said I didn't want them on my property anymore and I was surprised they still considered me a customer.

They were punctual. They seemed to do a good job. They did what they said they were going to do.

I bought the $300 "big deal" but $300 doesn't get you very far with tree removal, as I learned. The work was performed satisfactorily and promptly. Somehow I misunderstood what the total was going to be and I was shocked when I got their invoice. It turned out to cost hundreds of dollars more than I expected. I paid the bill, but it took a big bite out of my budget.

I have used them many times. The price is reasonable (not the highest, nor the lowest) and the quality always great. Very professional.

Trimmed and stabilized tree as advertised.

The lawn service was very carefully performed, and I appreciated the detailed analysis. Unfortunately I could not afford to continue with regular lawn treatments. The tree trimming was carefully done, although I thought we had talked about removing a few more branches. It looks a bit unsymmetrical at the moment. I did not follow up with them as I am busy with a new job. The dogwood removal was as expected, and they called Miss Utility as part of the service since I have a gas line running close to the dogwood location. I got quotes from Sav A Tree and one other service for various tree work on my property. Sava Tree's pricing was slightly more competitive on this work than the other service. The arborist that came and evaluated my trees was very helpful gave me a second opinion about a few problematic issues I have.

Arrived on time. There was some delay due to miss utility marking needed in that area. But very satisfied with service.

Purchased this via a Big Deal to provide fertilization to plants in some of my mulch beds. Contractor was very professional. Came out and provided quote for doing all of the mulch beds, which was a bit high so I only stuck with the amount of coverage provided with the Big Deal. Have not noticed any difference in the plants as a result of the fertilization treatment so it is hard to say whether this did much or not.

They used what I consider to be deceptive practices. What happened was, they came out did some work, which I paid them for and I wasn’t here and they had someone in my house sign that the services were rendered, which they were. In small print, which they had not pointed out to him, that he was signing a contract for repeated services, the following year and they didn’t notify me about it. I keep getting bills from them and I was going to go to consumer affairs in Montgomery County about this because they said we signed. I am the homeowner, I never signed the contract, and I am very upset. Apparently, the person who signed thought that he was signing work done order; little did he know that there was a contact for a repeated annual service and I keep getting bills. I contacted them and they were very tenacious about it. I didn’t have any problems with the service but I had problems with the legality.

Terrible! I used SavATree in the past and was satisfied with their service,so naturally I called them when I needed an arborist again. I took off work to meet the representative (Russ) during the hour long timeframe provided by SavATree. He never showed up nor did he bother to call. I had to call the main office to find out what was going on, and they cited an emergency tree service as the reason for the no-show. That is still no excuse for either the rep or the office not calling to let me know he was not coming out. Apparently I had to take off work for what turned out to be for nothing. SavATree demonstrated a complete disregard for my time and schedule. Complete fail. I'll be taking my business and money elsewhere.

I purchased a Big Deal coupon from them and I paid extra for the work done. That was fine. They are very responsive and professional.

Furthermore, when asked to remove these "grindings" the company wanted to charge us an additional 350.00 for a return trip of which 200.00 would be held as a "deposit." I have also been told by one of the landscapers that the tree stumps are not properly ground down to plant level. If the company does not take action for their mistake, then we will be faced with the addtional expense of having another company clean up their mess. I have asked to speak to the owner for three consecutive days running but he has not yet returned my call to explain how he will proceed. Although polite in the begining, we feel that we were grossly taken advantage of, miscommunicated to about what our choices could be w. the stump grindings and why they should not be left on the ground. Other companies want to charge excessive fees for cleaning up and removing work that this company should have taken responsiblity for in the first place.We want some rectification and do not need this type of aggravation.

They were less responsive to my primary responses of safety of the product and how it was applied.

Great. Initial consultation showed me what to look for when caring for trees. Talked with me about options regarding payment and my budget. Very pleased. Coming back for another job.

I was able to get a great deal on Social Living. They came when I was at work, I didn't have to be at home. Everything went well.

Liz and the gentlemen on her team were a pleasure to work with. Excellent communication - everyone was on-time for the appointments, and very efficient. The work that was done was great, and when I wasn't available to confirm the finished work, I received a follow-up call to solicit my feedback. This seems to be misnamed on Angieslist. It's under "SaveTree", but the service I (and most other people) seem to have used SaveATree out of Rockville, as noted in the left-side frame.

It was fine, however there were some extra costs.

Very well. I had the opportunity to talk to the technician after the service was performed. He took the time to describe what was taking place and also gave me advice on how to make sure the grass roots need to be allowed to grow deeper. (i.e. don't cut the lawn as often or as short)

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal special offer for this service and it absolutely was the worst experience I have had in my life. Before I chose them I confirmed with them that they would honor the Big Deal coupon. They did my lawn but after the work was done and I went to pay they said they would not accept the coupon. After I told them to cancel the contract they said they would honor the coupon but they did not honor it for the correct coupon value. I paid them for the work rendered but found out two months later that they showed I had an unpaid balance. I called them back and told them this was not how they should treat customers because I had paid everything they told me to pay. To add insult to injury some places in my lawn are still not growing grass.

The work was done professionally and quickly in under three hours. The pruning of the extra large poplar and Magnolia produced outstanding results. I was surprised at the tranformation in how the trees looked after professional pruning and shaping which exceeded my expectations. Sara was the lead person for the company who provided the initial free estimate and a professional arborist and Juan led a three man team that did the heavy work. Both were courteous and professional and the other crew members did not hesitate to ask specific questions as to what our expectations were and how they could meet them. Sara returned at the end of the job to ensure we were satisfied with the results. Both my wife and I agreed we would use this company again.

Many grindings were unexpectedly left on my property. I don't think this was explained clearly enough ahead of time. Other than that, the job went well.

Great service for a large urban tree.

They removed piles of brush, chipped the branches and deposed of the debris. We were satisfied with their service. They completed the service efficiently.
