This company is a little expensive but they are worth it. When they were done working, it didn't look like anyone was even here doing work as they cleaned up so well. They had all the branches off very fast and now my tree looks great. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

They gave me a two hour window on when they would be able to show up which I didn't like so much. When they showed up they looked at the trees and asked what I had in mind. From that point on it was all business and it was amazing to watch these guys go at it. The price was a little high, but well worth it.

Not well. I selected SavaTree over another co. because they said they could save my large oak tree. They came out in February and pruned the hickory and removed the dead dogwoods promising to return to trim the oak tree another day. When they came back to do the oak tree they told me on further inspection the tree could not be saved and needed to be removed and quoted a price more than the co. I had rejected. I was very upset because now if I went back to the first company they would probably charge me more since they would not be getting the other work that SavaTree had already done. I accused them of doing a "bait and switch". They then agreed to do the work at the price the other company had quoted. When they came out to do the work they again discovered something else and needed a crane which I would have to pay for. Because of our disagreement history they said they would split the cost with me. More problems. Contact me for rest of story.

Once they started. They completed the job in abut two hours.

It is extremely difficult to get a Contractor from outside the District to come in and do work in Capitol Hill. I was happy that their arborist called me at work while he was at my property to walk through with him what he was seeing. He also told me of a hazardous situation he observed with a tree owned by the city, in front of our houses where we park and warned us of a potential branch fall. I was impressed that he wanted to know what our long terms plans were for the tree and property before giving us a proposal for what services he was recommending. This was a difficult job (tiny lot, cable wires). Not only did they clean up their clippings, but also took care of a pile of branches we had been collecting in the back of our yard. Follow up call to make sure we were happy with the work. Communicates quickest by phone, but the office staff will respond to e-mails reliably, also.

David Wesley and his Savatree Co. branch office in Silver Spring get an A+ from me. His bid was much more reasonable than 2 others I called. His men arrived on time, did a careful and thorough job, and left the area cleaner than they found it. Wesley called me the next day to make sure I was happy with the job. I promised him this stellar review. I'd hire Savatree again in a heartbeat.

I probably could have gotten the work done for slightly less money, but Savatree left the best impression, out of the three choices on my short list. David Wesley gave good advice on the health of the trees on my property and what steps I should take. There was one other firm, that I almost went with (H.W. Brown), because their price was really competitive, and they were responsive, but they wouldn't take on the job, until all the poison ivy died sometime in late fall. Savatree included the removal of all the thick vines, that had grown onto the tree, as part of the job. The biggest difference in cost between Savatree and the other contractors was the support cable, which no other company recommended. It could have been an upsell, but it seemed to make sense, and I was thinking along the lines of ''better safe than sorry'', especially since I have a co-worker, whose house was practically demolished by a fallen tree.

The receptionist indicated they have a minimum $500 fee to show up and do any work. Similar work was done several years ago for $275, so I did not ask them to come out, given their $500 min. I would probably not deal with this company unless I had a large tree to take down, and lots of money to pay for it.

The Savatree representative came to give us the estimate on Monday and discussed the process thoroughly and was prompt and answered all our questions. He had a cancellation in the team's schedule and came out and did the work at 9am the next morning! They were courteous and careful about where they parked their truck and equipment. All debris was taken away without trouble. It may have been slightly more costly than other estimates, but their responsiveness was worth it, and we should not have to have this kind of work done again for years. The rep. called me the day after the service to find out how things went and answer any questions I had.

Dave Wesley is professional, knowledgeable, and cheerful. His foreman, Markos was excellent. They were prompt, cleaned up, and extremely courteous. The work was excellent.

They did a very good job. They were quick, efficient, pleasant. They were expensive, I thought, but the work was done properly and promptly.

We were very pleased. Sales manager and crew patiently answered lots (and LOTS)questions. Crew was on time, very polite and efficient. Sales mgr stopped by later to check on work. Only complaint: when I called for estimate appointment, I thought I was given a specific time, but it turned out to be a range. I reported it to sales manager, who said he would address it. I didn't get estimates from anyone else, so I have no idea how the price compares to others.

The team worked very well together. The first appointment was canceled due to rain. They arrived by 8 am on the second appointment. First quote was for $1105, asked that it be lowered to $1000. When they arrived I asked for additional work to be done which I thought was worth $150. Therefore, total paid was $1150. They knocked down a broken lead from a neighbor's tree for which she paid $85 for by choice.

HE DID A GREAT JOB. THE HARDEST THING WAS GETTING ON HIS SCHEDULE. BUT ONCE HE CAME HE COMPLETED THE SERVICE AND CLEAN UP AFTER THE JOB. I WAS VERY PLEASE WITH HIS WORK.
