They did a lot of work for me including trimming and pruning my trees. They also injected the fertilizer in some ill-looking shrubs and sprayed for insects all over the course of a few months. My yard looks much better now so I'm not using them at this time but I will call them in I needed to.

Got the "big deal' for lawn aeration. called to schedule and they said they'd be out the next week. I thought they were coming out to do the work, but instead showed up to just review the work that would be done and said it would be several week before the work would be done. They cam to do the work when we weren't home. You could see where they'd done the aeration on all the lawns. We had one problem area and you could see that the machine didn't even go into the ground, and no plugs of earth were pulled. This area was the main reason we had the aeration done.

I have a giant maple near my house and was worried about it falling down in the wind. They cut off about 30% of the canopy thru judicious pruining to let wind pass thru easily. Also fertilized the roots. Tree looks healthier, and hasn't fallen down yet! The crew was efficient and did a great job of cleanup. What I appreciated the most was the Arborist gave me great advice on some other small issues I had around the yard too.

Sav-a-tree sent an salesman to give me an estimate for "integrated service" for my property, and I signed up for the entire season. Not a single thing went according to plan. The start schedule slipped four times, costing me many hours of waiting around with no phone call to explain the situation. Late service and service delays were endemic throughout the service period, May through December. The operator responsible for performing the treatments was new to the job and unable to operate equipment needed for the steep hillside. Mr. Das, the salesman, confirmed this and arranged for an experienced operator to perform aeration on the hillside. However, the performance of the other treatments (fertilization, liming, etc) were compromised by (1) the products (i.e., fertilizer) not being available, (2) the company truck was cited for illegal lighting, hence yet another delayed treatment, (3) too much traffic to come, with no notice, and (4) bad weather. Overall, while I paid for treatments to cover fertilization, liming, core aeration, and full overseeding, many of these services were not done satisfactorily for a large part of the treatment area. Most important, the turf in the back yard was badly damaged by improper operation of the application equipment, for example, driving the truck so fast that it tore up the turf during application of the product, leaving bare tire tracks in several areas. I do not recommend this company for lawn service.

My only complaint would be that they put you on their maintenance schedule and I am not interested in a long term contract. Easily remedied with a phone call, but still! I did not use their fertilization or lawn care as I like to do my own.

The job was well done. The crew took only a short time to complete the job. There were no complications at all.

Person who came to do estimate was good - very knowledgeable about trees. Crew sent, however, to do the job did not speak English and did what they were told by supervisor (who left before the job was finished), but I thought the job was not done quite to satisfaction.

Overall, the experience was good. Their service was comprehensive, but their communication was confusing. The service was not done correctly until the third attempt.

Everything went well--they are very good.

After buying the Big Deal, the company sent their arborist, Adam Das, to come and review what needed to be done. I can't say enough about him. He was extremely knowledgeable, quite helpful in educating me on replacement trees and giving me great recommendations on various nurseries. He truly loves his work. We scheduled the work to be done the next week and his workers were prompt, extremely professional,and very meticulous.Even, the stump grinder was impressive. He was so concerned about not damaging my slate walkway, that he sent for additional equipment to make sure that the integrity of the walkway would not be impaired. I highly recommend Adam. and his company

THey first did the pruning, then over three months starting in September they did the seeding of the grass and successive applications of fertilizer.

It took a while to work out a day for the service but once they got there, they were quick and efficient. I got several estimates before doing the work. The price for the work couldn't be beat.

My initial contact with the representatives from Sav-A-Tree/Sav-A-Lawn was very good. The reps came to the house at the appointed time, surveyed the lot, and presented me with an estimate for services performed. I expected to be moving out of the service area prior to the end of a normal lawn treatment cycle so they recommended a four month plan. The individuals from the company's accounting department were very friendly and professional, and they offered a discount for bills paid in full in a lump sum payment. The company provided email notifications the day prior to their anticipated arrival for service, they were extremely punctual and reliably scheduled every six weeks. The lawn care technicians were very knowledgeable and very helpful. The very last treatment was scheduled after Hurricane Sandy and I had not had time to get all the leaves off the lawn prior to their arrival (in fact, I could not get the leaf blower started, so had been raking by hand). The technician helped me get the blower started, and returned the next day to do the final applications. The literature left after the service application was clear and easy to follow. I cannot say enough about the professionalism and the quality of this company's staff. The only part of the services that did not exceed my expectations was the weed control. Unfortunately, the services we purchased did not address the issue as I'd anticipated (and this was my primary goal in purchasing these services). This may be partly related to the fact that the treatments began mid-year and did not include the full six month schedule of services.

They initially came out to look at the property and said they could do the work. After that I did not hear back from them about scheduling, leading me to getting the deal refunded.

Save-A-Tree was very good to work with, even though I ended up choosing another tree removal company in the end due to schedule, not price.

The whole experience was very interesting. There were some mix ups about who was going to come out and when, and also who would stay and do the assessment. We needed a smaller tree in the front worked on, as well as a larger tree in the backyard. The arborist that came out left before we got all our questions answered but the crew that came out was very friendly and did their best to get the job done.

Work done on schedule and on time.

I would given have given him a F, but he did check out my tree. I did not let him start on the project, because I did not agree with his price. Too costly to trim away from the house. I had gotten a price range of $340.00 for the same job.

I had a great experience with this company. The project manager (Kyle) was very knowledgable, courteous and very responsive. Despite being very busy (I requested service after one one of the major storms), they fit me into their schedule and were done on time and within budget. They also cleared all of the debris, leaving the place looking better than how they found it. I will most certainly work with this company in the future.

OK. The man who did the soil analysis tested wrong area but when I told him about it he took new analysis. I had to ask for the complete chem. analysis (and got it) b/c company gave minimal information. Moreover, we called them back when a branch - huge - just fell shortly after they cut out the dead wood. The came back in two weeks to discuss the probable cause. There was no damage to any property.

SaveTree came out promptly and gave us a comprehensive analysis of our lawn. They made several recommendations as to the best way to handle the weeds and improve the appearance of our lawn. Unfortunately we weren't in a position to purchase any of the services beyond the Big Deal, so my review only applies to that. But if we did need to have further services performed, I'm definitely give them a call first.

They were on time, provided a written estimate and were able to do the work on our schedule. However, the price was out of whack.

The staff doing the estimate and the work were timely and professional, and we were pleased with the price compared to another estimate we had obtained. There was a mix-up in our billing in which we were over-billed for part of the service, but after contacting the company they were able to adjust a second bill for a later part of the service when we worked together to figure out what had happened.

Bought coupon offer and contacted company for appointment. Salesperson/arborist came out as scheduled and developed estimate which I accepted. Tree crew came out within the month as scheduled. The salesperson was there to re-confirm with me the work to be done and direct crew. The crew appeared to be very experienced as they worked. Crew completed work as agreed and did a very good job cleaning up all debris before leaving.
