Poseidon Dry Carpet Cleaning

A three man team arrived on the dot of 9:30 am, the time agreed. They were polite, well spoken and well organized, speedy, and very efficient and effective. The carpets turned out better than I had imagined possible. All stains had been complettely removed. The rug is worn enough that I wouldn't say it looks like new, but it is as close to that as possible. The chair, covered in a peach-colored cotton fabric, looks much better, but it had a couple of stains on it that were impossible to remove completely. Still, I could not have been happier with the result. When they were done, the men cleared all their equipment and supplies away, leaving my house in great shape.

They were great, on time and efficient. They promised if any stains returned they would come back out, which I appreciated.

They are not cheap but they are really good. They do dry cleaning instead of steam cleaning. The guy showed up on time, did the job, was clean and cleaned up after himself. There was a mistake so I called and they sent somebody out the same day to fix it. I will use them again in the future.

It was a very good experience. They do a good job and it dry's very quickly. The method that they use allows you to walk on it almost immediately. They are very efficient. The workers that they send are always efficient and dependable.

The service was fantastic from start to finish. I had joined Angie's List primarily to find a carpet cleaner and my expectations were exceeded in every category! Other reviewers mentioned their office staff person's professionalism and friendliness. Sure enough, when I called Tammy was very engaged, asked me detailed questions, answered all my questions and I never felt hurried. I really appreciated her helping me understand the benefits of dry carpet cleaning as it is so much better for your carpet! Her estimate was 100% accurate, and she also emailed me their price list in case my needs changed and gave me an Angie's List discount. Availability was good and I was able to have someone come out within a few days. When the two gentlemen arrived, they were prompt and extremely courteous. They took exceptional care with my furnishings and carpets. They did a fantastic job, explaining what they were doing, notifying me about how long the cleaning would take, when I could expect the cleaning smell dissipate and respotted an area additional times. When I was unsure about getting some furniture cleaned because it was more due to odor than dirt, they offered to deodorize it at no additional charge rather than pressure me to get it cleaned as I had originally requested. Again, they went the extra mile to ensure I was completely satisfied. They also left me with a feedback sheet for the company's use as well as the receipt, a recipe for carpet spoting I could do in my home and a coupon for future use. FABULOUS! The gentlemen arrived on time and were extremely professional. They assured me that any areas with spots would receive special attention. They were very thorough and didn't rush through their work. Upon completion, they asked me to examine my carpet so that they would know if i was happy with their services. Needless to say, I was extremely happy!

It was great. They came; they did the job; and they left. I'm very happy! The carpeting looks like new!

The process went very well. The technicians were polite and professional. I never had this type of carpet cleaning done before and was very pleased with the results.

They were punctual, professional, and thorough. The carpet was very clean after they finished, and no messes had been left behind.

To be honest, it is hard to tell because neither of the rugs had visible areas that needed to be cleaned. Therefore I can't give a testimonial where our once cream colored rug is now back to its original color. Instead, the big issue was from messes made by our dogs over the past year which had been spot treated but not systematically cleaned. One week later, we haven't had any dog accidents so I take that as a positive sign that the cleaning helped remove some of the latent smell/scent that encouraged the dogs to revisit the same areas. I should also mention that we are happy that their system is a dry cleaning system as we didn't want our rugs drenched with liquids and because we did not want the hardwood floors underneath the rugs to become damaged. Also, we did not want our dogs to have to interact with a wet product that might be toxic. Poseidon's dry product is non-toxic to animals so that was a huge plus. Not being an expert, and not having a cleaning need where we would easily see a visible difference in the rugs it is hard to tell if there is a difference in effectiveness between their dry cleaning process and a wet cleaning process. The reservation/booking process was easy and the office staff was very pleasant to deal with. They were very responsive about my inquiry and were able to work with my schedule to get a crew out to the house ASAP. Overall, it was a good experience and we will definitely use them again in the future. The only two issues that I can bring up are: 1) They do use a liquid agent at the start of their process and mist it across the rug. They use one agent for natural fibers that does not contain hydrogen peroxide and another agent for synthetic fibers that does. One of our rugs is made of a fiber that I could not determine as synthetic or natural. Unfortunately, neither could the techs that came to the house (with 100% certainty) therefore to be on the safe side they used the treatment without the hydrogen peroxide. Obviously, I'm happy they went with the safe option, but I wonder if there is a cleaning difference between the two and I was a bit disappointed that they could not say with certainty the fibers in the rug. 2) The techs that came to the house were very nice, professional and efficient. The only downside for me was that English was not their first language and so it was a bit harder to communicate my thoughts/concerns with them. Before we started the cleaning, I would have liked to have asked more questions about the rug fibers, cleaning the dog smells, and protecting the wood floors but it was not easy to have those conversations. At the end of the process, I was asked to sign a document which was a checklist of items the guys were to have completed (arrived on time, courteous, etc.). They definitely did most of those items but there were a few things (like some left over cleaning powder) that were not completed but it was not worth the effort of attempting the communication to fix a minor issue. I'm not saying this to be petty about the particular detailed item, but more because it would have been nice to have had a more open communication throughout the entire process.

The crew arrive 15 minutes late without calling--in fact, they pulled up just as I picked up the phone to call the business to see what was going on and if anyone was going to show up since I was operating within a very tight time line. However, once they showed up, they were quick and efficient. I had them clean the basement carpet and the carpeted stairs down to the basement. They were done in a little over an hour, well within the 2 hour time frame I was quoted. The result was great -- it satisfied our landlord, so we could move out without a hassle, but I thought the fragrance in the cleaning products was overpowering and lingered far too long. It wasn't a noxious chemical smell, just something sweet and flowery, like air freshener, cloying and annoying.

Great! These folks arrive on time (2 workers), never take a break, and work as a team to deliver a clean carpet. Not only that, the price quoted was what I paid and they came when I on very short notice to meet my needs..

I had used them a year or two ago and been very satisfied. I called and asked for an estimate by phone, after describing the pieces and areas to be cleaned. We scheduled the cleaning for the following week. The cleaners came on time and went immediately to work. They are very professional and courteous. Their method is dry, so it does not involve putting the furniture on supports or moving it all. The results are great. The delicate orientals have their brightness renewed and pet stains are gone from the carpeting. By far the best experience I have ever had with rug/carpet cleaning.

The experience was good and the results are great, better than I ever expected. The stains are gone and the soil is mostly not visible. The carpet looks almost new. The three workers who arrived were on time, were polite and professional, and did a very nice job in a timely manner. While I don't particularly like the use of chemicals in my house, I knew what I was getting when contracting for dry cleaning, and the results are superior. The odor was gone within about half an hour. My only concern is for the workers who, in my opinion, should wear masks since they work around the chemicals all the time.

The whole experience of dealing with Poseidon was a pleasure from start to finish. My first contact was with Tammy, who explained the whole procedure and made sure all my questions were answered. The night before, the company owner called to confirm the arrival time of his crew, and told me whom to expect. The three-person crew arrived on time and immediately set to work. Some of the carpets to be cleaned were original to this 1973 house and had some traffic areas to be dealt with. The most dramatic transformation was on the stairs: there had been a plastic runner down the center of the stairs, and when that was removed it was obvious that the outer few inches was quite soiled. When the team was done, you'd never know there had been a runner. All of the areas were left looking fabulous, and I really like that they were almost totally dry; we were told to wait an hour or so to replace the furniture we had moved out of the way. This was the first time we had ever used a carpet cleaning company, as prior to this we lived in an all-hardwood house. I have no doubt we will be using this company again, and recommend them very highly. The crew was here for about six hours doing the work, and the price was fair for that amount of effort.

Stuck to the estimate and they arrived on time. The job was done professionaly and explained thoroughly. The carpet was spotless when they finished, and due to the process they used, it was completely dry within a couple of hours. Tammy, who answers the phone was very freindly and explained exactly how their cleaning process works. While she mentioned all the options, there was no hard sell to try to get you to purchase additional services.I would use this company again.

Almost always, the technicians arrive within the window of time given. As always, I had a specific total of cost of individual services given to me by Tammy, who is extremely helpful and personable. I have a German Shepherd dog so the black hair is everywhere, and dirty paw prints show up a lot on pink carpeting in the bedroom and office! The rugs always look fantastic when the work is completed. The dining room is a thin, cotton oriental-style rug and it cleaned up very nicely. The young man who did the work was very professional and took the time necessary for only one man to do all the work. Cal Smith, the owner, has a terrific company and I have been a long-time customer! I call him at least twice a year to continue to keep up the maintenance of my carpeting and upholstered furniture.

Tammy was the contact person and I could've talked to her all day because she was so helpful. Very nice. The two men who came were 20 minutes early, which I appreciated, when most people are late. They did a great job of removing the pet stains. Tammy informed me that some stains may reappear and if they do, they will come back out at no charge. I would use this company again and I do recommend it to others.

My experience with them was pretty good. They were professional and responsive. I would use them in the future, if necessary.

When I called to schedule the service, Tammy was extremely pleasant to talk to and she explained the cleaning method to me. She was able to schedule the cleaning for the same week. The team of 4 arrived well within the time window and looked at the areas to be cleaned. Even though they will move the furniture for you, my husband and I had moved most of what needed to be cleared away. They got right to work and spent about 1-1/4 hours on the job. I had contracted for a "standard" cleaning, but they completed a "premium" cleaning for the same price (a $65 difference), since they said the carpets weren't very dirty. I was pleasantly surprised to see the finished carpets - they look 100% better! One room in particular was very dirty looking to me, with a lot of spots - it looks brand new! The whole house smells clean, too. They also gave me a recipe for a homemade carpet cleaner. It was a far better experience than I've had with any other dry carpet cleaning services, and I'd recommend them without reservations.

I had stains on one rug in the living room and they did a really nice job on getting the stains out. My daughter had spilt some concoction of something she had made for diaper rash all over another rug. It looked like it had bleached it out, but in fact it had just permeated the fiber. They were able to clean it up to 90 percent to get the stain out. I don't remember how much it cost, but it wasn't way out of the ball park. The quality of work was good. They were responsive, punctual, and professional. I would possibly use them again. I might try a different way to have the rugs cleaned if I was going to use them, but they did a good job for the spot removal.

My husband arranged for the service and was here when the technicians came to do the work. The service was excellent, from his initial contact with Tammy in the office and her follow-up calls, to the actual on-site service. There were three technicians in all. Greg, the lead technician called ahead of time to say they were on their way, and they showed up about five minutes before the estimated arrival time. Tammy had gone over with my husband the process in great detail over the phone, and Greg gave a full explanation of the work they were doing as it was being done. Both gave him a run-down of the products used and explained that they were safe for humans and pets. Speaking of pets, we have a large dog that spends the better part of his time in that room and that, more recently, spent not such a good time throwing up on the carpet. The technicians used extra care going over and over the "trouble spots". They were incredibly thorough...they worked continuously on the carpet for a good hour or so. The carpet was close to completely dry by that evening but, as an added precaution we kept the door to that room closed until the next morning. Looking at the carpet today, it looks almost as good as it did when it was brand new.

They were slow, but they did a good job.
