Jed and his team are highly professional. They take pride in their work and do beautiful, precise work. They are easy to deal with and do what they say they will do. They are well worth the money.

Working with Jed Dinger was a terrific experience. He arrived at our home promptly for our first discussions about our office needs. During that meeting, he took measurements and worked up preliminary drawings on his lap top using a CAD program. After a few hours the drawings were complete. After fine tuning the drawings back in his office, he sent final copies for us to approve. The installation went just as smooth as our initial meeting, and his installers were efficient and quite skilled, and the attention to detail was perfect. The final product is beautiful and we are completely satisfied. We plan on using Jed for future projects, and we highly recommend him to others.

Jed and his team built in a wall of walnut-stained bookshelves with a desk and some inset lighting along a wall with nearly ten foot ceilings. They overcame crooked walls, sloped ceilings, and narrow hallways to create a beautiful installation. Everyone who has seen the work has been impressed and has commented, including people who had never seen our house and didn't realize it was new work. Jed was very responsive and helpful during the design process and helped us make good decisions when we occasionally needed advice. He also made every change that we requested and included several (approved) addons that we hadn't originally considered. I would recommend Jed's work to anyone, and we are actively looking forward to working with him on future projects. Although it was somewhat expensive, it came in below the price I was told to expect by others, especially given the high ceilings and quality of the workmanship.

Jed worked with us from late spring 2015 til the end of October 2015. He worked with us to understand what we needed, and then went through several design iterations to get things just right. He set a schedule, and met it. The results were beautiful and functional. He is honest, professional, lives by his word, and is deeply committed to producing quality work. When the inevitable glitches arose he addressed them promptly and creatively, minimizing and solving problems. In fact he even solves problems not of his own making. I had had sllde-out shelves installed in my kitchen by another contractor, and one of the braces on one of the shelves fell apart. I called that contractor and emailed them for three weeks but got no response. Jed was here for another reason and I showed him the problem, and he just fixed it. No charge. Just a bonus for doing business with a good man. The main point is he does great work. And the people who work for him are also great. And they clean up after themselves.

Jed and his crew were great. He was professional from the beginning - responding to initial calls promptly, coming to the house to talk about our project and provide an estimate, and then in the measuring and installing. His price was also the most reasonable - about 30% less than another estimate we received for the same work. And we have been so happy with the final product. It's just what we wanted, looks great overall, and he pays attention to the details.

Jed provided detailed plans prior to building and installing the cabinets and came back to the house for second set of measurements. This man firmly believes in the "measure twice, cute once" approach and it certainly shows in the amazing quality of his work. On the day of installation, Jed's team arrived around 8am and immediately set to work. The projects was complete by 3:00pm and the quality was outstanding. The installation team (two-man team) was courteous and professional. They set up floor protectors and moved furniture out of the way to ensure no damage while moving the cabinets through the house. After installation, they took the time to explain cleaning procedures to protect the wood finish and explained how certain pieces of hardware worked. When they left, the house was cleaner than when they arrived and the only evidence that they were there was the outstanding cabinet project they had installed. I highly recommend Jed Dinger Design and would work with them again on future projects!

I could not be more pleased with my experience dealing with Jed. From the first contact through the end of the project, Jed was a true professional. He always got back to me when he said he would. He always followed up promptly. He worked with us closely through the design process providing guidance that didn't take over our role but that prevented us from making and bad design choices. He had a genuine enthusiasm about the project. In the end, only one work can describe the results - PERFECT! I have recommended Jed to many colleagues and friends.

I couldn't be happier with the process and final product. I've had a good deal of work done in my condo and have interacted with many contractors, but Jed's work stands out. The attention do deal is impressive, and my room has truly been transformed. From start to finish, the process was quick and painless. Jed was willing to accommodate all the ideas I had and provided a very detailed computer rendering of the unit. I also appreciated his quick responses to emails. As we all know, finding a reliable contractor can often be difficult. The unit and room trim installation took two days to complete (pretty fast, actually). Jed and his installation team were pleasant and clean. It's clear that each member of the crew is a craftsman who enjoys and takes pride in his work. I don't recall the last time I wrote a review, but did not hesitate to take the time to write this. It was worth every penny. I highly recommend Jed Dinger Design, and look forward to our next project.

When you do any kind of remodel, you have to make a million decisions along the way. During my recent kitchen remodel the BEST DECISION I MADE WAS TO HIRE JED DINGER to do my cabinets. I made a lot of other mistakes along the way, but because I got that ONE decision right ? my remodel went smoothly and turned out beautifully. First of all the cabinets are BEAUTIFUL!!! Jed was great with not only esthetic design ideas but functional design ideas ? super cool stuff I never would have thought of. Along the way, when other contractors didn't get it right, or oddities in my previous home construction caused problems, Jed was always there to step up to the plate and be a partner in problem-solving. Remodels are a series of unexpected issues and having someone solid to partner with is a total godsend. Jed was really responsive and responsible at every point in the process. There was a lot of back-and-forth about design during the run-up to him building the cabinetry - and he was always genuinely interested in getting it right. A sense of professional responsibility that's both old-fashioned and timeless was clearly what motivated this guy throughout. His intention at every point was that I'd end up with a kitchen that I'd be thrilled with. And I did. The workmanship is flawless, the artistry apparent every time you walk in that kitchen. And when you have someone doing this kind of work for you - They're in your home, there's lots of communication. You want a good guy. Someone who is easy and a pleasure to be around. That's Jed. If you're planning any kind of remodel that involves cabinetry, custom furniture, carpentry, woodworking - Get the first decision right. And call Jed Dinger.

What a joy to work with. Jeds product and his professionalism is second to none. We have been through many craftsmen through the years and I would only use Jed again for cabinetry. I just hope he can fit us in next time. He is that good.

Iwould highly recommend Jed Dinger Designs for custom cabinetry. I am a designer and worked with Jed to build custom cabinets for a client. Jed worked with me to design and build cabinets for a living room based on my own design specifications. Jed welcomed my own ideas yet interjected his own expertise. From beginning to end, the experience was superb. I presented my clients with three estimates and Jed's estimate, although not the cheapest, definitely was the most detailed and professional. He was a clear "winner" when it came to choosing a cabinet design company. From there, Jed was quick to respond to emails, professional and detail oriented. The only minor hiccup was the the install date was delayed, without notification, which was bit frustrating but Jed was apologetic. The cabinets that Jed and his team crafted are simply beautiful. He uses high quality hinges and sliders and installed sconces and hardware provided by the client. Installation was seamless as he was careful to protect floors, etc. and clean up any remaining debris. Jed is a true craftsman and I will use him again for future projects.

Jed Dinger is wonderful to work with. At the initial consult he makes sure to understand what you want and give you his ideas. Next you are provided with his drawings for the project. It is followed up with another consult to discuss any changes or questions. Then you get the final design for approval or any changes. Jed is always available to communicates with you throughout the project. He is very creative and detailed...wants things to be perfect. My completed products have extra touches that enhance the design and gives it the WOW factor. Everything fits the space it was designed for perfectly. He kept to the timetable he gave me at the initial consult. I really wanted everything he was building for me to match the wood trim in the room as well as new French doors as I had just had everything painted. He got a perfect match. The installation went without a hitch. The guys who worked with him were top-notch and just like him in that they all wanted to do everything right...a very professional company. They left everything cleaned up too! I absolutely love all 3 pieces that were built for me. I could not be happier with the entire experience and will use them again in a heart beat.

He worked with us on the initial designs and refined them as the rest of the room came together. The design work was superb, and his responsiveness was great. The installation was flawless, and the pieces really pull the room together. His work is amazing and well worth the price.

Jed was extremely responsive and professional throughout the process. He offered thoughtful feedback on my ideas, but was The designs he provided were so detailed that surprises would have been impossible. I knew exactly what the finished product would look like. The bookcases were completely fabricated offsite, so when it was time to install them, they were able to do it in just two days. The final product is beautiful and very solidly built. It blends seamlessly with the existing architecture of my historic building. Because it's just inside my front door looking into the living room, it has become the defining characteristic of my home. Everyone comments on how much they love it, and many of my friends have asked who built it. I suppose the only downside to working with Jed is that he's booked so far in advance that you may have to be patient (he'll have a lot of other jobs to finish before he can start yours), but he's worth the wait. Moreover, when you put down a deposit, he'll give you your exact installation day, even if it's months in advance, so there's no uncertainty about when it will be done.

in a word, AWESOME!!! He is a master woodsman with an attention to detail and perfection, not really seen in this industry. He clearly loves what he is doing and is not doing this solely for the money. The finished work (i.e. the symmetry, the paint finish, the overall design) is on par with what I would expect from PoggenPohl or Snaidero or Porcelanosa, etc. Extremely high end The installation took 11 hours to do. they arrived at 8:30AM sharp and worked until 7:30 (with a one hour lunch break) I am convinced if this was your average contractor, the project would have completed in half the usual time, with many faults, defects being noticeable to the discerning guy. Not Jed!!! He spent so much time on every panel to ensure the finished product passes his own quality control checks. Just the finish on the wood which is a matte sateen white finish has absolutely zero flaws in its finish or texture. Truly the best I have EVER seen

We cannot recommend him highly enough. Not only is the unit absolutely perfect, but the whole experience of working with Jed and his crew was a pleasure. He was the best contractor we've ever hired. Quality & craftsmanship Our job consisted of cabinets and 16-foot long floating shelves. This was quite a technical challenge, complicated by quirks in our building?s structure. Jed definitely met the challenge. His crew spent two days installing the cabinets and shelves. They were amazing to watch as the team worked together to solve all the installation challenges within our not-so-level or off-square living room. His standards and craftsmanship were outstanding. Just one example: Our floor was 5/8 inches lower on one side. Instead of buying less-than-beautiful adjustable metal legs to correct for the height difference, he hand-crafted metal-clad legs exactly to our floor measurements, and didn't charge us more. Also, Jed was very selective about the materials and suppliers he used. We fully expect our unit to remain solid and beautiful for many many years. Design sense As my wife and I sifted through design options, we found ourselves valuing Jed?s advice. He had a sophisticated sense of proportion, scale, and design, and the end result could not have been more pleasing. Neatness He and his crew were meticulously clean and careful not to scrape anything in the house. He's the only contractor we've had who didn't have to be asked to vacuum the floor outside our apartment. He placed Masonite sheets on our floors to protect them (rather than just thick paper or tarps), providing better protection in case anything dropped. Professionalism During the design phase, Jed sent us renderings of the unit from all aspects, and then did it again when we made a change. He provided detailed plans and clearly explained all the details and why something would work and why an alternative wouldn't. Jed also made up samples to help us select colors and woods. After construction started, we were kept fully informed, receiving (via email) pictures of the unit as the work proceeded. He was almost always available for a talk and responded quickly to emails. And his emails were clearly written. Fair price Amazingly, his price was very competitive for our large and fairly complex project. We would unreservedly recommend him.

It took a couple of weeks to create the design and a few more weeks to install. Jed had a crew of three helping him with the install. Jed has outstanding craftsmanship. He is extremely friendly and easy to work with.

Jed came to our home to provide initial estimates on building two custom built-in bookcases in our living room, complete with storage for TV and other electronics. I found Jed to be friendly and extremely professional. He provided solid guidance and a prompt estimate, and when it was a bit out of our price-range, he was understanding and gave us some other options to help bring the cost down. Though we ultimately decided to hold on the project, I fully expect we'll be working with Jed in the future.

Jed was great to work with throughout the entire process. He provided a detailed estimate upfront, and was responsive to our questions and needs. He helped us make decisions about the design and made recommendations that were very helpful. We were not in a rush for the installation which was good, because it took 6 months from start to finish. The installation took longer than expected because the walls in our house were very uneven. Jed and his team were meticulous in their attention to detail and wanted to be sure the finished product looked perfect, and it does. We are SO pleased with the end result, and the quality is excellent. The cabinets and shelves are beautiful as well as functional, and look as though they were originally built with the house. Jed, Mike, and Justice were very polite, respectful, personable and professional throughout the installation. We had no worries or bad surprises. Another point that made me feel like we were dealing with a good person was that Jed's employees spoke well of him in his absence without being prompted.

Working with Jed from start to finish has been a pleasure. At our first meeting, he easily spent an hour or so looking at the space, talking to us about what we wanted/needed and sharing with us how he could customize it for us. He also sent us some pictures of similar projects he had completed, which was very helpful. We decided from that first meeting that we wanted to hire Jed. He was professional and respectful, seemed very detail-oriented and an expert at his craft and was just a nice, easy-to-work-with kind of person. He sent us a quote about a week or so later, and though it was a little more than we were wanting to spend, having looked at the other projects he had completed, we were confident that Jed would do an excellent job. The next phase of the project was to review the CAD drawings, which had more detail than I could probably fully appreciate. Jed answered all of our questions, gave us advice when we weren't sure which way to go and was flexible about making additional tweaks to the design. Jed told us the installation would take 2 days and it took 2 days. He had 4 others with him and the whole team was great. They were all very professional and hard working. They tried to keep things quiet during our baby's nap times, cleaned up at the end of each day, touched up some of the walls with paint, swept and cleaned the entire garage on the last day, always wore shoe covers and even helped us move a heavy piece of furniture up 2 flights of stairs. And Jed made sure everything was perfect. There was one small corner part of the wall by the built-in hamper that could have used some caulking that my husband and I had noticed and just thought we could probably fill in ourselves if we wanted to. Jed had noticed it do during one of his final inspections and brought it up to us. He said he had to touch up that corner or else it would keep him up at night. We thought that was great and appreciated how much he really took pride in his work and the attention to detail. We absolutely LOVE our built-ins and cabinetry. They look like they were always part of the house, they look very high-end and they really add more function to otherwise dead space.

It's rare to have unflinching confidence in recommending someone to do work for others, but I have that confidence in Jed. He's the best of the best--superbly professional, good eye for design, and outstanding skill and craftsmanship.

First I should say that I have done dozens of remodels, had lots of custom cabinets built and worked with many, many contractors. I have an eye for detail and really hold people accountable for a good job. So it's not faint praise when I say I would put Jed in the top 2% of contractors I have ever worked with. From the beginning of the process Jed was great. He made an appointment quickly, worked with me to come up with a rough idea, sent me CAD drawings to proof, made good suggestions and was up front with pricing. He took meticulous measurements, made beautiful cabinets installed them on time and was a joy to work with. There was an issue with the fit, and he stayed late into the evening to get the cabinets installed- it was a ton of work and I really appreciated him finishing the job on the day he said he would. In short, I cant speak highly enough of him. Jed was not the cheapest bid, but he was super responsive, totally "got" what I had in mind, came in on time, was only about $200 over the original budget (due to a problem that was related to the condo that he could not have foreseen) and was terrific to work with. I would highly recommend him and plan to use him again.

Absolutely amazing experience. Jed and his team were incredibly professional, responsive, on-time, on-budget and most importantly, did simply beautiful work. Our mudroom looks like it was built with the house and we've gotten so many compliments from family and friends on it. I would definitely use Jed again and would not hesitate to recommend him to others.

Jed and his guys did a really great job. Jed was helpful with the design portion, was responsive to changes we made and did what he said he was going to do. We did have a one week delay to our schedule but he notified us well in advance and was very flexible. He did a great job of matching the color and style of our existing cabinetry and his guys were very clean and curteous while on install. Overall a very positive experience.

My husband and I hired Jed Dinger Designs to design and create built-in bookshelves flanking our fireplace in our living room. We found his company on Angie's List and we were impressed with the number of glowing reviews. When I initially contacted Jed by email, he called me within 10 minutes of my email in order to gather more specific information and provide me with a rough estimate for the job. He also immediately emailed me links to photographs of similar jobs he had completed. Once we were ready to meet with contractors, I had Jed come to our house in addition to 2 other contractors that were not on Angie's List, but were referrals from friends. The other 2 contractors provided rough quotes that were less than Jed's, but we felt much more comfortable with Jed from the first meeting, and in the end, paying a little bit more was well worth it to get a beautiful job completed on time and without hassles. One of my favorite things about Jed is that he ALWAYS does exactly what he says he is going to do. For example, once we decided to hire his company, he told me that he would create CAD drawings and would get them to me within 2 weeks of approving the initial (very detailed) written quote. Of course, the drawings were on time (they were early, actually). He also informed me right from the beginning of his schedule and the estimated completion date for the project once we finalized the plans. In the end, he finished the project a few weeks early and worked around our schedules. The project itself involved wooden cabinets and shelves above, with honed absolute black granite to match the fireplace mantle. He extended the wall above the fireplace as well to create a step effect. Jed also matched the existing crown moulding perfectly, and the whole thing looks as if it was always a part of the home. In addition to creating beautifully crafted cabinets and shelves, Jed is a wonderful designer and provided multiple designs to choose from. In particular, we wanted to include a built-in wine rack but were unsure where to place it. Jed provided us with 3 different CAD drawing options to choose from, which was extremely helpful in determining the right choice for us. I can't stress enough how much I enjoyed working with Jed and his team. The employees that worked on our project (I believe their names were Mike and Andrews) were very careful in our home and showed incredible attention to detail. I could tell that they took pride in their work, and that they really enjoyed working for Jed which is a good indication of the way he runs his business. We could not possibly be happier with the outcome. We are so thrilled we decided to go with Jed's company, and have already referred several neighbors to him.
