Mose Troyer Carpentry/Cabinetry

Mose installed interior doors and replaced all of the trim in a house that we were renovating for my parents. The craftsmanship was excellent.

We recently remodeled a 100 year-old Craftsman home. We initially discussed the project with Mose Troyer and were very impressed with his knowledge and advice. The project required replacing and replicating a considerable amount of the woodwork. Mose also modified the existing Shaker kitchen cabinets. Modifications included building new cabinets to match the existing ones. He also adjusted several cabinets while maintaining the original look of the cabinetry. Mose also completely built an entire wall of pantry cabinets in the Shaker style. He installed new baseboards and window trim. He rebuilt and repaired existing window trim in several other rooms. Mose integrated the repairs to the point that after painting no one could discern that the sill had been repaired. His work was flawless. In addition, he walled off a doorway and built a bookcase with enclosed shelves in the lower half. He installed 10 new doors with hardware in line with the original style of the home. He also installed two barn doors with hardware. He is conscientious and easy to work with. Without his creativity and craftsmanship the project would never have been as successful and we’re thrilled with the results. Without reservation, we highly recommend Mose for cabinetry/carpentry work.

Mose did a great job of modifying my cabinet in a way that you can't even tell it wasn't always that way. He paid great attention to detail, lining up woodgrain where he had to make cuts and seams, etc. Mose was very responsive via phone and text. I really appreciate his willingness to take on a smaller job.

Mose Troyer does excellent work. He is honest and easy to work with, a real professional. He easily finds solutions to difficulties. We had multiple projects that we presented to Mose. One being a utensil tray for the kitchen drawer that he built from a design that I wanted but could not find commercially. The tray fits like a glove and will last a lifetime. Also, we had exterior doors that had wood rot. Mose meticulously carved out the rot and cut many small, intricate pieces of wood, to replace those areas without compromising the original design of the front entry door. It turned out that the rot was deeper and more pronounced than originally thought, but Mose worked diligently and with great skill to make both exterior doors perfect. Mose also cut and placed a vent in a bathroom and designed and installed an access door for exposed plumbing in the laundry room. I highly recommend Mose Troyer for his skill, courteousness and overall kindness. I will be utilizing him again in the near future.

Mose is very talented and easy to work with. I sent him several pictures of fireplace surrounds I liked. He built a prototype and came to the house to discuss and confirm design options before building it in his workshop (no mess at our house was a plus). Typical of an old house, the installation required custom fitting. He took his time and made sure every detail was right. It will look even better once we paint and make it the showcase of the room!

Everything went great. Mr. Troyer was responsive to our questions while helping us fine tune our ideas. Mr. Troyer responded quickly to our calls/emails, the work was completed ahead of schedule and clean up was spot on. The work was completed gradually over a four month period. Just purchased this house and there were many projects. Mose was wonderful to work with and his finish carpentry skills are amazing. Absolutely love what he completed and this will certainly add value to our home!

Mose did a fantastic job. In 2017 I hired Mose to replace the rotten wood trim with Azec around seven windows and around the rear door of my house. Mose's work has stood the test of time. In 2019 his work remains looking excellent. Mose is very detailed-oriented. He even painted the Azec before installing it so it would match the paint on my house. I would highly recommend hiring Mose for your carpentry needs.

It went really well! Mose is a very friendly guy and extremely professional. I chose a furniture style vanity and he was able to seamlessly blend the baseboard around the legs. Our walls aren’t the straightest and there were some tough cuts but the finished project is even better than expected. I hope to have him back out in the future for other rooms and I would definitely recommend him to others!

My wife and I are having our first child and needed to install custom cabinet doors under the sink in our kitchen, which previously was covered by a curtain. I had existing cabinet doors that didn't fit under the new sink and offered them to Mose to cut down to fit. Mose examined them and suggested that based on their finish and size an alternative approach may be more time and cost effective. Mose measured and produced two brand new cabinet doors that perfectly matched our previous doors, painted and finished, and then installed them in our kitchen seamlessly. There was a slight mix up in the ultimate size of the new doors, but Mose found a creative solution on the spot and fit the doors perfectly. Mose was friendly and professional and explain everything he was doing clearly. Great experience, would hire again!
