H&C Construction was a joy to work with. They come on the day they said they would. They went right to work. At the end of each work day they cleaned up behind themselves. They were very nice and answered all of my questions. They did an amazing job, I am very satisfied with the work. I would not hesitate in referring them to my family and friends. I will use them again as well. Thank you Luis for a job well done.

We called a couple of other contractors but decided on H&C and were extremely pleased! Their prices are fair; they are VERY punctual; they worked diligently and they fixed the issue. We received a quote from another vendor who insisted that we needed to remove the granite counter top and cabinets to get to the pipe. Needless to say, H&C was very honest and they did the job for much less. They are very clean and quiet as well. This was an unfortunate situation with the pipes leaking but we learned that these guys do just about any work related to the house and since we have an old home, we now have a new contractor that we can depend on. You wont be sorry if you work with these guys. Louis is fabulous to work with! Would recommend to anyone.

They arrived as scheduled, did professional paint and repair work. Each day (2 days) at the end of day the house was cleaned of dust, debris, protective tape and plastic covering. Would definitely recommend and use their services for other jobs!

In March of 2019, we hired H&C Construction to install two backsplashes. The kitchen backsplash is 3 x 6 glass tiles, and the bathroom backsplash is 1 in tall tiles of various widths and an assortment of glass, marble and tile. They protected the counter tops and did very neat work. They cut the tiles very accurately and cleaned up very well. The backsplashes look great. We get lots of compliments.

Excellent customer service. Jimmy promptly (same day) responded to my request for free estimate . Luis assess the issue and explain how the job would be accomplish and timeline before he began work. After job was completed Luis sent pictures for my review.

The person handling this job arrived within the time range in Jimmy's confirmation email. The repairman was polite and courteous and thorough; the whole job was done in a day, including a trip to the hardware store for supplies. Since the home is 80 years old, the repair needed to be mindful of the quirks that come with old houses. The final result more than met expectations. Pricing was fair, and Jimmy followed up at the end of the day. We will definitely hire them again.

H&C Construction did a fantastic job putting up my parking pad canopy! We worked on trading off some different approaches, and selected the best path forward. The finished product looks amazing! Thanks!

Professional and responsive from beginning to end. Workers were on time and professional. The work is good quality and I would hire them again. I sent pics and they quoted me a price, same day, to complete the work. Completed the work the next day. It was not crazy, extensive repairs but it was a 2 man job. I probably could have gotten it done for less but I did not get multiple estimates. I was more concerned about it getting done right and quickly so I could use my stove again.

I can't say enough good things about how H & C completed this project. Luis planned the work, which presented some challenges due to the conditions of the existing cement block backing for the tile, and Alex did the work in a timely and very competent fashion. Alex showed up on schedule and cleaned up the work site every evening removing all project trash. Fit and finish exceeded expectations, and the project cost was very reasonable. H & C will definitely be my first call for any future construction work.

1000% above my expectations! I had a few things I had resigned myself to thinking it wouldn't be possible to really fix it. But man I was wrong! Everything looks great and works as it should! Would absolutely hire again The company was also quick to respond and made it easy to work with. I had a quick turnaround and they met it, and were able to stay another hour.

Everyone is professional and the job is done on time and done well. Like I said, I've been a customer for 7 years and Luis is the first one I call anytime we need something either fixed or updated in our home. They are very fair in price, always show up, and do a great job. I wouldn't use anyone else.

The entire job consist of cutting and installing kitchen counter top, connecting the sink, put knobs on cabinets, patch holes in kitchen walls, install vanity in bathroom, install bathroom fan and install oven hood. The quality of work was very good, but honestly the best thing about this company was the service. They are very professional, return phone calls, provide a professional quote, show up when they say they will and start on time. To us this is worth a lot of value. We have a number of other larger jobs around the house that we want to do in the very near future and will definitely try to use them again.

Luis came to our house, gave us good info, and promptly sent us an estimate. He gave us more info than the other contractors who came to our house. His employee did very neat and careful work installing glass tiles. He protected our counter tops and floors. The backsplashes look great!

We've had very positive experiences working with Luis and his crew. He has done 5+ small to medium projects at our house, including installing interior and exterior doors, fixing bathroom venting, sealing attic and replacing insulation, creating a bench over a sump pump, etc. We are preparing to do a larger bathroom demo at this time. As a stay at home mom, I've always felt comfortable with the people who Luis sends to do the work, and we have often had the same people - we are getting to know their crews! The workers are respectful of our home and generally clean up the spaces where they work. We trust the quality of their work and the fairness of their prices. My dad, a successful business owner for 40 years and a handy person himself, oversaw the first set of jobs Luis's team completed, and he said, you have a good find, this is good work.

When I first started looking for a handyman, I noticed the businesses with thousands of net positive reviews (mostly chains/large businesses). I read the reviews and they were fine but not memorable, mentioning many different service leads. I decided to look for a small business in which the owner/service provider would have a greater stake in ensuring quality work, satisfying customers, and building a strong reputation. I chose businesses where the reviews referenced a single owner/service provider. In doing so, I noticed that the reviews for Luis were unique in their positivity, specificity, and warmth. I decided he was the person I wanted to work on my family's new home. Not surprisingly, Luis responded immediately to our contact, and he was at our house with a crew and supplies two days later. Luis and his crew worked all day on our projects, and we were very impressed. They showed respect and took great care to prepare their work spaces and care for our home. Luis took the time to explain the work in a thorough, accessible, and non-patronizing way. We were happy with how everything turned out. My father, who owned a successful business for 40 years and who has executed and supervised many home improvement projects, also oversaw the work. His response was the following: "These people worked hard. You got a lot of man hours. I looked at the work; they did quality work. I would have them back again." Thanks, Luis! Luis and his team did an excellent job installing brackets/molding on my basement wall. I would definitely hire them again.

I have those old turbine roof vents. During some mighty powerful winds, one of them flew off. Snow and sleet were coming and so many of the people I was trying to contact had “we can’t help with that” as the answer. It was too small or on a roof or not until next week. Then I called Luis. He listened. He asked when I would be available for him or one of his guys to take a look at the issue. I sent a few pics. We scheduled for the same day. He got as much info from me as he could to streamline the process and called me to let me know one of his guys was going to be there but he would be a little early (YAY!). Walter got on the roof and examined not only the hole that was my uncovered vent, but also the cover that was intact. Then as he looked down from the roof, he saw my missing turbine out in the field. He updated Luis. Luis called me with a plan and a price. Walter got the cover from the field, straightened the duct, secured the run-away turbine AND the intact one (that wasn’t actually secured!!). He didn’t rush. Through it all, both Walter and Luis kept me updated. From initial call to completed repair, <6 hours. Reasonable price for such a rapid response (and no snow and sleet through an open vent hole). Patience and great customer service throughout. I can’t thank you gentlemen enough! You are officially saved in my contacts for future work.

Luis & his team did a fantastic job totally transforming our kitchen! Luis was recommended to me by a designer who had parts of her own home remodeled by this team. They worked so quickly under a tight deadline and Luis was very available to talk about the project and any time, even after hours. We were so appreciative of how excellent and quickly they worked! Our kitchen looks amazing!

I was very impressed. They were great. The project manager arrived with the technician, to be sure he understood all the items on my list. The technician expertly replaced shower caulking, grout and door hinges, and he tightened a towel bar and carpet threshold. His work was professional and thorough. For example, to tighten the threshold, he didn't just add glue and a few nails. He properly removed the threshold strip, turned it over, and scraped out the old dried adhesive before reattaching it. Throughout, the technician was courteous, polite and professional. He stayed later than promised in order to complete the items on my list.

Luis and his team were very professional. They provided a detailed estimate of the work to be performed and all the work was done as proposed. They were efficient and everything was done very well. I would definitely hire them again.
