Excalibur Moving & Storage

This is the first time I've ever used a moving service. Great experience! My move was incredibly stress-free. Two guys came and moved everything. They were professional, friendly, and efficient. I would definitely use them again and have already recommended them to others!

This company was superb. They arrived at 8:00AM and were gone by 3:30PM. Several members of a five person team packed the fragile items while the others loaded boxes and furniture. After emptying the house the two trucks went to our storage container, and loaded the boxes that occupied a 10 foot by 15 foot bin. They were courteous (indeed friendly), worked without any meaningful break, and treated everything with great care. The manager who had visited us and made the original bid arrived by mid morning to check on the work, and then joined the work crew in packing and carrying for the remainder of the day. The two trucks departed on Wednesday. On Saturday morning I received a call at our new home in Naples. They were a half hour away. At 9:00AM members of the same crew arrived. By 3:00PM they had unloaded the two trucks and placed the furniture in the rooms. I was particularly impressed by their ability to move heavy bulky sofas and chairs up narrow stairs that turned 180 degrees at mid-climb, without any damage. Nothing was broken. Nothing was scratched. We would pick them again in a second.

The process went surprisingly smoothly better than any of my previous moves I did myself. The crew arrived early at the first location and cleared out my storage unit quickly. For my one bedroom, we pre-packed a lot of things before moving day, but life gets in the way and we still had items not packed yet. The crew worked quickly to pad my furniture and tv, and packed our casual dishes carefully. The moving estimate given to me was spot on with the number of hours required to do the move. Definitely would use again for a local move.

Not well at all and when I called the Manager, he was very rude and disrespectful. The workers left items in my cabinets and my powder room. When I received my items back from storage two week ago, the workers didn't pack my china properly, my tablecloth was used to wrap up some of my crystal bowls. I found my silver wrapped up in bunches in paper. A lot of items were not individually wrapped. It was not good!

This guys are great..they showed up on time and started working the second they showed up..they wrapped up my intire house and nothing got broken or damage..I highly recommend Excalibur moving and storage..this guys are PRO !!

On the hottest day of the year (Heat Index of 110) the 4 member moving team moved the contents of our townhouse, negotiating tight stairs and multiple levels. They assisted in dis-assembling furniture where needed and took great care in wrapping and boxing items. the team was exceptionally courteous and took great care to avoid scraping and scratching walls and floors. At one point they expressed concern when some water from a dehumidifier was spilled on the carpet, but were assured that the carpet was being replaced. At the new house the move team again took great care with the protecting the walls and floors, re-assembling furniture and placing it in our desired location. When it came time to settle up the invoice at the end of the day the crew leader took the time to walk through everything line by line to ensure that all was understood and no mistakes made. The Excalibur crew was simply amazing, efficient and courteous. Especially given the excessive heat.

Awful! Pricing they give you before they load the truck is half of what you will end up paying. They are inflating the square footage and weight x1.5. When asked to provide the slips from any weighing stations between VA and FL, they started yelling at me for requesting that now, and not before we agreed to the service. Estimate was $5- $6K, ended up paying $10K - cash only.

I had a great moving experience with Excalibur. My plan was to pack all boxes leaving the movers to move the boxes and furniture. Things didn't go as planned (as always), I didn't packed all my home like I wanted too, I felt safe before the movers came because the lady in the office told me that their rates include all packing material. On move day the movers came on time and started right away without wasting any time. They pack my kitchen and closets in to boxes and wrapped my furniture very quickly. Nothing was broken or damaged. I will definitely use and recommend Excalibur movers

This was my family's first move in 12 years, and first move to another state (VA to SC). From start to finish, these guys were awesome! I received a quote via phone, then received a written confirmation via email. They were very accommodating to my move schedule. I sent them an inventory of items that I needed moved, and they assured me it would all fit into a 26' truck. This brought my moving costs way down because I would now pay by the hour instead of by the pound. It also allowed them to maneuver the truck into the Public Storage facility (very narrow lanes) without me having to pay for a shuttle. When the moving team arrived, the team leader went through the paperwork with me very thoroughly to make sure there would be no surprises. I was paying for a certain number of hours for labor, and a certain number of hours for the travel time, plus a fuel charge. This made me a little nervous up front, but they reassured me that the estimate would be close or within an hour or two. They actually ended up an hour below the estimated labor allotment, so I was able to give a better tip! :) All three of the team members were friendly and professional. They took great care in wrapping all of the items in blankets/wrapping paper. They arrived the next day at our new home bright and early, and unloaded everything perfectly. Nothing was damaged. I highly recommend this company! And, thank you, Angie's List - I received a discount by mentioning!

It was fantastic. I had not managed to complete all the packing myself in advance, despite all intentions and efforts. The guys were all incredibly efficient and helpful (and patient with me, since I was a bit overloaded but the entire move itself). Not having to worry about the individual boxes or materials they used was a huge load off my mind as well. The person I spoke with to book the appointment was very professional and helped answer all my questions in advance. I got a call the day before confirming the appointment and then that morning when they were on their way. I could never have done it on my own. And it was one of the hotter days of the month, and it didn't phase them, thankfully. They were all very friendly and social while we all worked on finishing up the apartment. I really enjoyed their company, beyond just the assistance. Between the team of 3 and myself finishing packing, the extra stop at the storage unit and then unloading at the new place (no unpacking, my choice) it was a very long 9 hour day, but it was great. And for someone who is easily overwhelmed and stressed out by the entire moving processing in general, it couldn't have gone any better! I will definitely call them whoever I next move (though hopefully not for a while)!

It was good. They were really fast and efficient. I think my husband was very happy with the pricing.

I filed a claim then they said they didn't get it, I filed another online claim with pictures on December 9th 2015 on December 10th they emailed me back only offered $40 in over 1500 dollars worth of damaged items, I told them I would take further measures they said go ahead and I never heard back from them, I spent over 2000'dollars on a move that was a waste and 1500 in damaged items and now still out all that money! STAY AWAY tHis is there email response::::: We are sending this email to inform you of the decision made by our claim department. As we discussed over the phone it's hard to tell who damaged the item listed in your claim. However our claim department has, as a courtesy, decided to refund $40 to you. We have attached a release form to this email; please fill it out and send it back to us. Once we receive it we will credit $40 back into the account we have on file. Please note that the deadline for submitting this form is December 20th, after this date your claim will expire. If you have questions or concerns feel free to contact us, we will be happy to assist you.

Couldn't be better they are the best moved my wife and I from Herndon to Urbana without a hitch. 41 years of stuff in a 11 hour move. I hate moving but I loved Excalabur they are the best they gave me a 11 hour estimate they took 11 hours, they double wrapped everything they didn't break a single item if I was moving again and I sure hope I'm not I would call them no questions asked. They worked like robots 4 man crew the best. checked 8 companies not the cheapest but the best!!!

Eti, the company owner was professional, from start to finish. Excaliber delivered more than I anticipated. Very careful, explaining everything I needed to know, with no mysteries. They worked hard, 100% of the time. Thanks Eti, I will tell others about your great service!

My Angie's list in NM allowed a one time search in the MD area, and there were several local movers to choose from. I appreciated Excalibur's prompt and clear responses, and chose them. On the day of the move, a family member had to stand in for me and said the movers were very professional. Excalibur staff were very understanding of the long distance situation and easy to work with. The interstate movers selected by Excalibur were able to arrive in 5 DAYS (within 30 days was the agreed on limit) and were also very pleasant and professional. I was amazed when I saw the incredible packing job that Excalibur staff had done on the MD end. Seriously! I had some very old, delicate pieces of furniture and they were bubble wrapped and blanket wrapped perfectly. I am very grateful it all went so smoothly! Extremely satisfied with the work.

Great all As. The movers were on time, very professional and they handle all my stuff with absolute care 100%. They put all the furniture back together as they were before and they finish the job the time they said they would.

A sales rep came and gave me an estimate. The thing I really liked with this company is that, what they promised during the quote - they executed one to one during the move, including no surprises with hidden costs. I have heard from so many friends how other companies raise the price after they give a quote and I was so happy to see that Excalibur stood to their original price. On the day of he move, the crew arrived on time. where very professional and polite and I fealt that my stuff is in good hands. I will defenatly use this company again and will be happy to recommend them to friends and family. Thank you guys for a wunderful moving experience.

I gave the Excalibur Movers a low score because of the contract. The problem is the company charges you 2 times for fuel. It is stated in the contract that the first hour of the move you are charged Travel time (movers leaving the warehouse driving to your house). My contract was for 4 men and 4 hours. So that means I was already deducted an hour from the actual move. Then you are charged a 7% fuel charge that is based on the total price of the move not the driving time. My move was 10 hours which meant the actual driving time used for fuel should have been 2 hours (the hour charged to get to my house and back to the warehouse in Rockville and the 30 minutes it took to drive to the new house). I?m being generous and rounding up to an hour. It was only 15 miles between houses. The rest of the time is spent packing and unpacking. So minus the Angie list price and add the additional hours, the fuel charge is against the actual price of the total bill. I spoke to the manager and he quickly stated it?s in the contract. So I will not recommend this company to anyone due to the contract double billing. Fuel is transportation and charging travel time to and from the location plus the fuel it takes to get there is double billing. The actual movers consisting of a 4 man team were great. The furniture was wrapped and they took great care not to scratch the walls during the moving process. I am also reporting Excalibur Moving Company to the Maryland Attorney General office of Consumer Protection to investigate if the contract as written is legal in this state.

The move went great. Very nice and professional staff. Work very hard and didn't complain or try to charge extra for a couple of very large items. Were finished in the time period we paid for. Would recommend them for sure!

from the very first contact with Itai to the team unloading the last box, Excalibur were professional, efficient and all one could ask of movers. Itai listened carefully to our moving needs and offered various solutions tailored to our needs. He stood out from his competitors by his ability to really listen and tailor a solution to our needs at a competitive price. Despite a broken freight elevator and other problems on the part of the apartment complex we were moving out from, the Excalibur team were focused, organized and determined to stay on schedule. We had a number of art pieces which they took great care to pack carefully. They worked with us as a team, ensuring our needs for communication were met and that our requests were met. At all times they were gracious, courteous and above all, careful to meet our needs. We had agreed to purchase extra moving blankets to pack furniture we were storing. Eduardo's team ensured that all our furniture to be stored was packed with great care, using extra padding along side our blankets. We also had several pieces of furniture with glass tops. The team took special to cushion and wrap the glass carefully ensuring all the pieces were labeled. They disassembled furniture to optimize our packing and moving needs. The team packed 3/4 of our household goods in the storage unit with great efficiency, saving us loads of space while at the same time enabling us access to items we had asked to be able to reach. When the team moved the rest of our household furniture and goods to our temporary apartment, they were remarkably neat, ensuring they protected carpets so as not to trudge in dirt and mud. They handily reassembled our furniture, once again fitting in with our needs. We couldn't ask for a better experience with a more professional bunch of guys. A special call out to Eduardo, Pinto, Ronny and Eddie; the guys did a fabulous job. It is also really important to mention that Itai, the consultant who came out and quoted on the job, came by during the moving to ensure we were happy with the progress of his team. It was obvious the team and he enjoyed a very warm and respectful regard for one another.

I shopped around a lot, scared at all the bad reviews from other companies. Although excalibur was not the cheapest quote nor the most expensive, i chose to go with exclaibur due to itai, ( spelling) he was very friendly answered all my questions and concerns, I'm glad i did. We were moving locally house full of furniture and kitchen supplies and garage items which was a lot of furniture. Heavy too. His crew took real good care was helpful. We had to have two trucks, they were stored overnight due to closing was not on same day as loading, which worked out perfectly. Day of move they adjusted their time, so we could get to new house and truck was there to off load. Two trucks later nothing was damaged, except an arm chair of my dinining room. Itai came and picked it up, in fredericksburg, va, and return fixed within one week now that is service, and it looks better then it did before! I'm so happy with exclaibur service, if i ever move again i will call them. The guys work really hard, this was in the heat of summer! and they didn't even stop for water. don't hesitate. Itai will treat you right. Also the quote was up front, true to the exact amount of hours to offload tow trucks, amazing.

Excalibut Moving was amazing. We specifically wanted a service that would help pack our house to alleviate at least some of the stress that comes with moving. From the start, their crew seemed to have unlimited energy, and took care of our stuff. We have some large furniture and had a difficult stairway to navigate, so I was concerned about breaking items or putting holes in the wall. Their crew moved every single piece of furniture without breaks or holes, and displayed a high degree of professionalism throughout the move. I would recommend Excaliber to everybody, and would use them again in the future. Their number will always remain in my contacts list.

The staff was fine; they stayed where they were supposed be in the room and were on time. They showed and they didn't break anything. Their total cost was what was estimated.
