Description of Work: I hate packing but they packed very quickly. Packing, loading, moving, and unloading took about 8 hours. Not bad at all for someone who hates moving.

Description of Work: They moved our household goods from Burke Virginia to Orlando Florida. Everything was fine at the Burke end. There were only two movers at the Orlando and, and one of them was not a good worker. His partner was very professional, and he did most of the work.

Description of Work: Moved a couch from store I purchased it from to my home.Approximately 4 miles away. It didnt fit at the top of steps going into the adjoining hallway. Only problem I had was they switched a 12 noon appt to a 4pm time. Which I had to call and find out after waiting an hr for them to show up. After the person told me they would not be there until 4pm that day. I had to reschedule for the following wk.

Description of Work: The company initially quoted me a price that was higher than many competitors', but which I agreed to. When they arrived on moving day, they refused to honor this price and raised the rate! Not cool... not cool at all. | |Additionally, I had thoroughly informed the company that we had a LOT of stuff to move, but they still brought a truck that was too small. This resulted in requiring two trips on two separate occasions for significant extra cost to us. | |I will definitely not hire this company again. | |On the plus side, I appreciated their helpfulness and flexibility in scheduling the move on short notice. | |But overall, it was a negative experience.

+ -1 moreWe had arranged for another moving company to do the job. Their representative arrived and immediately started raising the price that had been quoted over the telephone. Within minutes the estimated price had more than doubled. When I queried why we had not been told about all the additional charges, the representative was rude and insulting. So, I asked him to leave. I now faced a big problem. Carpet installers were coming the next day to replace our carpets and the furniture had to be out. So, I called Excalibur and asked if they could help move the same afternoon. Within 10 minutes the Excalibur agent called to say that they couldn't do the job the same afternoon but could first thing in the morning. She quoted me pricing and immediately confirmed by email which detailed all the charges involved. I accepted the quote electronically and paid the deposit by credit card. The moving crew of 3 arrived promptly at the scheduled time of 9 a.m. and did a great job moving the furniture and boxes. The team was friendly, polite and highly-professional. The move was done quickly and efficiently. I highly recommend Excalibur - they bailed me out on impossibly short notice and did a great job.
