Description of Work: Helped me organize the loft in our master bedroom, which is now a wardrobe. My husband moved in a couple years ago and we just dumped all his clothes up there. Leslie showed up on time as arranged. She listened well to my needs, took a quick tour of my home and made suggestions, and then we went to work reorganizing the storage closet. I never would have guessed how much and quot;stuffand quot; there was in the room, but she helped me clear out the contents, separate into separate piles of junk, donations, recyclable, and stuff that should be relocated. Fast, efficient, and at the end of 2 hours I had the space and storage materials to provide an organized, spacious storage closet!

It's going great. Kim is very good company as well as organized and professional, so she's a pleasure to work with (which was not my experience with a different organizer, who had good ideas and was efficient, but I couldn't wait until she was out of the house). She's also taken pains to do the things herself that I would have used as excuses to put the. Tasks off, like cleaning off the shelves where we are going to display the yarn. Her adage - if you pack it away you're not going to. Use it, so you might as well give it away - makes so much sense. I really strongly recommend this organization.
Description of Work: Help design and put into effect a system for organizing roughly 30 years' accumulation of wool and knitting supplies, plus office supplies, household items and other "stuff" that has been waiting in our basement for someone to figure out how to make. Sense of it.

Joanna was WONDERFUL! She helped me to completely clean out my very messy and cluttered basement. In addition to the 2 hours I originally purchased as a big deal, I purchased an additional 10 hours. It was worth every penny! Joanna is a VERY hard worker, and she worked non-stop. She helped me to sort donations, junk and a very good storage system using what I already had for storage (plastic tubs and existing shelves). I highly recommend Clutterbusters. Cleaning my basement was something I put off for a long time, but thanks to Joanna, I now have a fabulously organized basement!

This person was more interested in going through each piece of paper and urging me to throw away things before I even knew what was there. She was with me for 10 hours, left me with no strategies for getting organized and only made me feel more overwhelmed and as if I were being punished. By day's end all we had done was to PARTIALLY clear off one space. I think her approach is not unusual but I have since used another organizer that was superb by comparison. I am glad I gave such a service another try.

When the woman arrived, I specified that I wanted to start on an upstairs room. Instead, she started going through a plastic bin in my living room. It wasn't my intention that she do this and I was a bit taken aback. Things went down hill quickly from there. She took out an antique book of Japanese prints and started quizing me on what it was, why I had purchased it, where had I expected to put it.... It was really humiliating and demeaning to be spoken to like that, to the point that I almost broke out in tears. After that, I decided that I did not want her to organize my upstairs room because I didn't want to justify every purchase I had ever made. So, instead I had her go through some papers I had in my living room and brought other boxes of papers to her to work on when she ran out of papers. This worked out fairly well and overall I thought this was a useful thing to have done. One issue I had was that they had specifically told me that I should not buy things in advance. It would have been much better if I had. I ended up having to dig through my stuff to find old file folders to put the papers in. I also thought it would have been helpful if she had given me more guidence on how to organize the papers that she put into piles - I had a lot of trouble coming up with appropriate categories. But, overall I think she did a good job of going through my papers. Ten minutes before our time was up she expressed surprise it was so late, did some last minute sorting, gave me some advice on how to deal with incoming mail, and left - with a ton of paper, poorly organized, some in piles, some in random bins and files, all over my living room floor. It may be a bad idea for an organizer to leave a client's home in the condition she left mine. I then had to go out and buy things to put the paperwork in and reoganize it all. My living room is still a mess, four days later. Beyond the personality issues I had with the woman, I think the biggest surprise to me is that I had asked for my whole house to be organized, but no plan was discussed about how this would be done. The woman didn't even tour my house to get an idea of what the problems were. Even if I had been happier with the work that had been done, I wouldn't call them back on this point alone - its hard to justify spending this amount of money without knowing in advance the work that will be performed. Also, I think they need an option for an initial consult to discuss what the plan is and to set expectations. This would have the added benefit of identifying any personality problems. I read through other reviews and I am amazed and jealous of other people experiences compared to mine. One person said that they got to just sit on the couch - how cool!

Description of Work: Two organizers came to my house and spent hours sorting through the living room clutter, throwing out trash, sorting out recycling, helping me decide what to keep and boxing it up to be sorted through. They worked hard and steadily. Tony, the company owner, has gone more than the extra mile in helping me de-clutter and clean up my home!! I'd hire him again in a flash (and probably will,the job is not fully finished since we still have the upstairs to do).

They send out individual people and some of the people are better than others. It's not always clear exactly what you are getting. You could get one person who is amazing and one is not as amazing. It also depends on how efficient you are. They are expensive, so you do want to get someone good. They charge by the hour and it's not cheap.
Description of Work: I've hired them several times. They have done organizing work for me, such as helping with filing and general things around the house, like kids toys and clothes.

They did a pretty good job, I wouldn't say it was fantastic. There were some problems with the first person that came out, she did some things that were off the wall. They sent someone out to correct them though. Their follow up was pretty good. Because I'm already an organized person, I know that I would not need to hire them again. For someone who needs help with this, they are a good choice. This was done some time ago and I don't remember the price.

The person who helped me was very good, but the service was overpriced. I've used the help of an organizer before and Clutter Busters was just too expensive. I would probably not hire them again, but that's not because they are necessarily bad. I would probably look around for something more reasonably priced. Angie's List called me for this feedback.
Description of Work: I used them for one session 2-1/2 years ago. At the time my mother had died and I had her entire household possessions in my house. I needed help organizing it so I could get things moving. I used one of their people for a few hours to help me sort household items.

The two organizers arrived on time and ready to work. A short amount of time was spent deciding what to focus on. Once that decision was made, they got right to work with amazing energy. I almost felt guilty relaxing on my couch as all the work was happening. Nothing was purged without my okay. I merely had to sit where I was, and things were brought to me. There was no pressure if I wanted to keep something. Stacks were made of things to be thrown away, things to be donated, and things to be organized. While I spent most of my time in the living room, the other organizer was busy in the kitchen. It was just remarkable to see my counter and the top of my refrigerator! Food and dishes were organized in logical places, as were other items. I had originally signed up for a 2-person team for 4 hours, but there was more to be done, and the organizers agreed to work an additional two hours. A great experience! One of the organizers even called me afterwards to make a suggestion.
Description of Work: Clutter was organized in my living room and kitchen. This included purging unneeded items, placing like items together, placing frequently needed items where they are easy to reach, placing seldom used items in the places that are harder to reach.

This price is a special for four hours of work. Susan and Val came out to do the job. They were on time. It was a very dirty job, and they went above and beyond to do the work. I could not have done this myself. It was well worth the money. I would definitely use them again in the future and would recommend them to others.
Description of Work: They helped me clean out my shed, which is about 8' X 10'. They were done with the shed in about an hour to an hour and a half, so they then came inside and worked in my laundry room and basement.

They did a really good job of organizing everything, which has made my life easier. There were two girls on the job. One girl was consistent in all three occasions that they were here. She was phenomenal and she had a great personality. She was quick to identify issues and solve them. The other girl was just as good. She was extremely efficient. They were both very upbeat, considerate, and nice. They made a tough job so much easier and it was very pleasant to work with them. They were really great about scheduling and they were always right on time. I can not say enough good things about Clutter Busters and the gals that I dealt with.
Description of Work: They helped me eliminate the things that I had in my condo that were not necessary. They packed them in boxes and labeled them, so that my friend could take them to a storage unit. They also organized everything that was left so that there would be no clutter.

I loved the service. They where highly professional, quick, and very creative with many ideas. They where very punctual and I would recommend them to any one.

It has been very good. They have an hourly rate and I can tell them how many hours and what I would like done. As I can afford it I call them to do work. They have been very helpful in getting my things in my basement moved for waterproofing on short notice. The cost listed is per hour.

I was able to describe what I needed done and to request three dates-- in order of preference-- online. The company promptly emailed me back to tell me my first choice was available. They also provided me the name and phone number of the organizer who would be helping me. Collin Christensen called me the day before he was scheduled to arrive to confirm details and to ask what kinds of items he should bring (he brought a label maker). He again called in the morning when he was leaving, and he arrived right on time. He even asked if he should take his shoes off in the house. He was polite, efficient, and friendly. We got the entire office cleaned and organized in less than three hours. He took the trash out and took the items to donate with him. This is something I could have done myself, but I couldn't have finished in half a day, and having a dedicated appointment helped, too. I have already scheduled a repeat visit to work on a storage room.

Overall it went extremely well and I would use them again. It was easy to call and set up an appointment; Rebecca came exactly on time, and was extremely good at what she did: helped me organize without being critical and without trying to sell me on a system that would cost more money or be to complicated to manage. We worked together in my office, she arranged stuff, gave me papers to throw out, checked with me throughout that what she was doing or suggesting was ok with me. I will call them again when I am ready to tackle organizing my basement.
Description of Work: I needed someone to help organize my home office so that I could find papers for tax purposes and so that I could clean out unnecessary papers accumulated for 15 years.
