Central Exteriors has been helping homeowners in Maryland and Washington, DC, and Northern Virginia repair and remodel their homes since 1956. Bill Greenberg, past-President, is a member of the Professional Roofing Advisory Committee (PRAC) and was the 1991 president of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI). Several other members of our staff are NARI-Certified Remodelers - a certification that gives special recognition to remodeling contractors who demonstrate a high level of competence and ethical standards. Terrible customer service
Description of Work: I called to see if they could fix a roof leak that had come through the master bathroom and the drywall is cracked andhanging - they did not have anyone until July 25 - no emergency - and their response as to what I should do was "get a bucket"

We're very sorry that this member is unsatisfied, but I'm not really sure what else we could have done here. She called us up for a repair service. We don't have the staff available to perform emergency services and our next available appointment wasn't for a few weeks away. She did ask us what she should do in the meantime and our first response was the she could call around and try to find another roofer with more availability. She then asked what she should do until then, and our response was "You should probably find a bucket or something so that your floor doesn't get damaged."

Description of Work: Roof replacement and install new 6" Gutters & Downspouts. This is a professional operation that is obviously 'seasoned and experienced' in roofing, gutter work and related home repairs. 1) Bid and proposal was clear and informative so that it was easy to evaluate and compare to other bids. 2) Work was done according to schedule and worksite was cleaned on a daily basis. Notes: Company agreed to paint the facia board behind the gutters before installing the new gutters at no additional charge (as long as we provided the paint.) We shopped the price and found that many vendors "tinkered with the bid" by adjusting the quality of the roofing material (i.e. - the shingles used). After researching "roofing materials" in Consumer Reports"...we found that Central Roofing was extremely competitive. Although there was always a 'site manager" present.....we were particularly impressed with the ongoing oversite that the project received from the Central Roofing main office and Management. Top Drawer operation.

Description of Work: Two sections of vinyl siding on the back side of our townhouse were melted and misshapen because of intense heat from our barbecue. The most damaged area was about six feet across and three feet high. Central Roofing & Siding responded quickly to our request for an estimate and did the work in a professional manner. It's impossible to see the original problem. Particularly impressive was the match to the original siding which was about eleven years old. I recommend the company highly and would certainly use them again.

Walter did a very conscientious job with the repairs, caulking and generally making sure our house is snug and dry. They inspected the roof and did some routine maintenance and caulking. What I liked best was they were honest and did not try to sell you something you did not need.
