A very solid company. I felt the whole team was reliable and trustworthy. They came out within a day and got the tarp up. When I got home from work and saw the ends of the tarp flapping in the wind, I called and asked them to come back and secure them. Was there really any danger of water intrusion? I don't know; I just didn't like how it looked. They immediately agreed to come back and secured those corners. The hurricane hit our area hard, so that "emergency" tarp stayed in place for more than 2 months before the insurance company could finish their estimate and the work could be scheduled. When the insurance inspector finally did make it to my house, he was impressed with how well the tarp had been secured. Despite lots of heavy rain, there was no water intrusion--much better than the job he usually sees. Between all the heavy rain last fall and all the hurricane damage, Central Roofing had a significant backlog of roofing jobs, so the work couldn't be completed as quickly as I would have liked, but they communicated well, worked with me throughout and I really felt they did the best they could to get the job done as quickly as possible. Mitch came out and helped me pick the closest possible match for my siding, and was cooperative in working around other contractors (the fencing and deck guys). They did an excellent job, and I've been very pleased with the high-quality roof shingles and the new siding. I also felt they did the best they could on price, as I had to work within the insurance company's estimate. Knowledgeable, professional, likeable crew. Highly recommend!

They were all right. They weren’t anything fantastic. They were okay. The price was okay.

My neighbor had her roof replaced by Central Roofing and was pleased with the result. I checked them on Angie's List and they had a good rating. Their price was competitive so I hired them. There was some weather delay but once they arrived, the roof was completed in a day. They did a good job, were very professional and cleaned up as if it had never happened. The roof looks great.

Frank from Central Roofing & Siding Company did the estimate and the work. He did the work on 11/29/2011. He started around 9:50 am and ended around 11:50 am. He used Simonton 5500 Reflections windows. He pulled out the 2 by 4’s, removed the original windows and installed the new windows. He took all trash and left the area a cleaner place. He did a very good job and I would use this company again.

.They didn't come when they were suppose to come, they sent a different person everytime, and anytime I would call I would get a different name to talk to. They couldn't do the work so they told me to call someone else.

They do good work and are punctual. They probably aren't going to go above and beyond unless you specifically request something.

OMG! I'm so pleased with this company! THANK U Angie's for putting them in for the Big Deal! I"m certainly sold. I emailed for an appointment and they called the next day. Receptionist (Stephanie?) was polite and helpful. She explained everything clearly. Walter, the serviceman, showed up 2 minutes before the earliest part of the 2 hour window quoted. He was done in 1 hour even with actual repairs. Between their punctuality and the time he took to complete (several) repairs I won't even be late for work! He was a gem. He thoroughly and clearly explained what was going on up there and was super-friendly and professional to boot! He nailed down my roof vent, replaced to gaskets on vents - one I knew was leaking, the other he said wasn't leaking *yet*, but was on its way. He took inspected roof and gutters, took pictures and measured the roof. I knew I was going to need a replacement, but based on neighbors' cost I figured it was going to be a STEEP expense. But, get out of town, he said it would be only about $3000 to replace the roof and the gutters/downspouts! A quote from another company I got on gutters alone was $1200 (gutters are baaaad - it's a waterfall off my roof when it rains hard! It sounds like the gutters would add only a few hundred dollars to the roof-only estimate. I'll check back in after the actual quote and/or roof replacement to report on that, but based on my experience today, I'd say this is a legit, consumer-friendly company. I hope they get a POH award!

The work was performed by "walter", who was very personable. He showed up at the appointed time and worked efficiently until the job was completed, even though it was a bitingly cold day. I will use this company again and recommed it very highly.

One thing I liked was that they covered all the plants to protect them. They removed all the debris in the yard and ensured everything was clean. They walked around the house checking for nails and other things. It was a supervisor who came several times to check things and also came towards the end to ensure we were satisfied with the job. They were very responsive and it was an incredible company. We were very happy with them and will use them again in the future.

I got them off from Angie's List. I purchased Angie's List big deal. The service was great. They were easy to get hold of. They responded to me quickly. They came out on time. They did a good job.

We found out about them through a neighborhood circular, but we did look it up on Angies List. We chose them because their bid was good and we searched out examples of their work and liked their work and decided to go with them for that. The work is not quite finished yet, but so far it has been very good and we have been very pleased with them. We like that the work they have done so far as far as we can tell has been excellent. The people we have been talking to have been very responsive and very accommodating. They have shown up when they have said they were going to and pretty much been done when they said they were going to, so it has been a good experience overall. The total project is going to be about $25000.

It was a positive experience. The person was very nice. He pointed out to me the things to watch out for, which I had not done correctly. He was a very professional person. I liked working with them. I would use them in the future.

They gave me a really good price and completed the work in two and a half days. They did a really good job. My son climbed up and looked around the roof and said it looked good.

Terry was very useful and patient in helping us pick out the right shingles...and very flexible in scheduling the work to suit my constraints. Crew worked quickly and did a first rate job.

Went very well. Walter was very punctual and helpful. I showed him some water stains on the inside of the house in addition to some gutter problem I was having. He fixed the minor gutter problem and then proceeded to inspect my roof. He said the water stain was from cracking and missing caulking around the siding/window abutments. He found 2 small holes in the shingle roof which he patched and sealed and he nailed down some popped up flashing and boots. He told me my roof and the shingles were in good shape. My roof is the original roof the builders put on when the house was built in 1996. He said I probably have another 4-5 years left on the roof. He was honest and did not try to sell me anything. He made recommendations as to what caulking material I should make sure to get. I appreciated his inspection, feedback and honesty.

I called 11/17 for appointment to repair a minor roof leak. Walter showed up on the 17th on time. He inspected the whole roof, determined the source of the leak, repaired it, and did additional precautionary sealing of risk areas in less than 1 hour. He also gave me a tip on avoiding another potential leak over my garage. Walter was totally thorough in the inspection, repair and clean up.

As new homeowners facing the replacement of a new roof, we looked to Angie's List to find candidates for the work. We asked five different companies to take a look at our home, explain the work, and give us a quote. We chose Central, and we are incredibly pleased with the results. Through Angie's List, we originally called and spoke with one of the owners, Mitch Greenberg -- Central was started by his grandfather and has been a family-run business for sixty years. Mitch was flexible with our work schedule. He came to inspect our roof, take measurements, etc. when we were at work and then scheduled a Sunday morning visit to talk with us about the estimate. He walked us around the property, explaining the various options for the new roof and his recommendations. Mitch's recommendations were refreshingly honest. He was frank in his assessment of whether a particular upgrade or option was "necessary" or "worth considering" or "mainly for aesthetics." We never felt like he was pushy or trying to convince us to buy something that we didn't need. And, his long experience in the business gave us comfort that he was knowledgeable and dependable. He was also sensitive to our interest in getting the work done quickly, and scheduled his team to be available as soon as possible. They arrived on a Monday morning and finished nearly all of the work. Even though the work would continue on Tuesday, the crew had cleaned up nicely on Monday evening when we arrived home from work. The crew came back on Tuesday and finished the roof. The roof and the clean up job looked fantastic. We chose Central, not only for its competitive prices, but also because of the great feel that we had about the company from Mitch. Having been in the business for 60 years, Central has the dependability that you want from a company that is guaranteeing several years of warranty for workmanship (you don't want a small company to disappear on you), but the personal touch that you can expect from a family-owned, small business rather than a giant corporation. Central is insured, licensed, bonded, etc. and we had no concern about the work and we were pleased with the reasonableness of the price. After talking with Mitch, we felt like we had a very clear idea of what the minimum was, and why we would want to select a few upgrades and take advantage of the warranty. We are very pleased with our experience and recommend Central highly.

Every thing went really well. The architectural shingles are a different look, more dimensional. My small house, which sits higher than surrounding homes, does not show them to their advantage. But, I wanted them primarily for the rating on wind. The summer storms in southern Maryland have been getting stronger and we wanted the extra assurance and a better warranty. We are happy with the results.

We were very satisfied with all aspects of the experience. Terry came to examine what we needed and explained what they could do and the cost. He answered all questions authoritatively and there were no "sales tactics" or pressure of any kind used. We accepted the offer and everything went exactly as promised: appointments were kept, the workmen did their work professionally and there were no unexpected "surprises." Clean-up was excellent: The rooms were vacuumed and trash was even carried out in tarps so as to not to leave litter elsewhere in the house. We are pleased to recommend them to others who need similar work done.
