Terry was very patience explaining what needs to be done and what materials he will use. He accommodated my requests re warranties and form of payments. Once the contract was signed he gave me work day estimate (that was moved one day because of rain). His crew arrived at 7am and worked professionally till 8pm and then another half day. The clean up was fantastic, they did not leave a thing. One of my skylights was not returned to its exact place so I called Terry and next morning his worker came and fixed the problem. I would definitively recommend this company for any roofing job.Barbara

I scheduled the appointment for today and took off work and everything but they did not show up during the appointed time frame. I called to see what was going on. The receptionist said she would call the service man and see where they were and call me back, but I have not received a call back yet.

They did a good job and I was satisfied. I willcertainly use them again.

The crew arrived on-time, work very long hours, left promises clean everyday, completed work on-time with minimum punch list at the end. Very good overall experience all the way from sales process, to installation of the chosen product. Keep up the good work.

They did a good job. Everything worked out fine. He replaced the vent and did another inspection of the whole roof.

My only minor concern was failure to replace the bottom of a drain spout, which the estimator promised to do gratis. When I notified the company of that concern (and one other minor concern), they quickly returned to fix the second concern but never repaired the drain spout. Not a big issue. Just a small concern in an otherwise well-done job!

The contractor showed up on time and fixed a nail hole in our roof that was causing a leak. Plus, he added 12 new shingles, two were free. The only complaint I have is that I asked for a estimate on replacing the roof and I didn't hear back from them. He did say we could go another year with out replacing and that we should start saving. I just would like to know about how much I need to save?

I obtained several estimates from roofing companies, and Terry was the only one who actually came to my house with a professionally prepared estimate with options for me to consider. The price I settled on was not the cheapest estimate I got, but it wasn't the most expensive either. I was truly impressed with the company's professionalism and courtesy; Terry walked me through the various choices I had, explaining the pros and cons and costs of each, and did not pressure me to make any particular choice. He was also very patient while I waited for over a year to finally make the decision to go ahead and hire him to do the job. With the exception of a slight increase in materials cost (understandable), he stuck by his original estimate. Once the job was done, I was also impressed by the fact that the workers were scrupulous about cleaning up after themselves. Literally, I left for work in the morning and when I returned home that afternoon, I had a beautiful new roof and not a scrap of debris anywhere around my house. I would recommend this company without hesitation; they are professional, reliable, and very service oriented. I also like the fact that it's a family owned and operated business.

I contacted them on May 17, 2012 and asked for an estimate on window shutters. They said that they'd get back to me with an estimate after driving by my house. They never got back to me. I called again and again they said that they would get back to me with an estimate. I again gave them my contact information, but have never heard back.

They repaired the flashing around my chimney.

The job went very well. Bernie, the company's sales person, was very easy and knowledgeable to work with. He came out a couple of times, once for the roof estimate and another time for the gutter and fascia/ soffits covering.. We decided to replace the roof in September because a leak developed and we wanted to do it before the cold weather arrived. The company was able to do the job in October, a couple weeks after the contract signing. The roofing job took three days. As soon as the roof was completed, the fascia, soffits and gutters were completed in a couple of days. The roofing job was done very well, and the gutters and fascia/ soffit covering was outstanding. We also found Central Roofing and Siding's office staff very helpful. We communicated with them by both phone and e-mail.

They were excellent all around and would highly recommend them.

Got an Angie's List Big Deal for roof inspection.Gentleman came, friendly and professional, and inspected the roof and caulked several places where there were small cracks. Reassured me that it's in good condition for now, and it could last couple of more years. (granted, this was before the July derecho storms, so maybe I should get it inspected again...) I appreciated his friendliness, professionalism, and honesty (didn't try to get us to replace the whole roof! and gave some good tips). We'll definitely be in touch with them in the future for our roof repairs (if needed).

I thought the job went well. Walter the tech explained what I had purchased and took it a step further in fixing the holes I have on my fascia boards. It took him about an hour to complete the job.

I contracted Central (spoke with Matt Kiline) and arranged to have them re-roof our house. I got three estimates. Matt was the only one to contact me first regarding how the decision making process was going. Jim at Certified was very helpful however, when we spoke regarding the job. Matt brought out samples to our house for me to check out, because the photos were not enought for me to make a selection. With the weather ( heat and rain) the job was delayed once. However, Matt kept me informed along the way.When the roofing materials were delivered there was a small glitch (which is where they lost a grade on proffessionalism). The deliver guys, broke one of my terra cotta pots (never mentioned this to me...and truthfully, they might not have realized they did this). Also, the roofers put some of their materials on my hydrangeas and stressed the plant a bit. Again, the plant is hardy and will survive, yet I had a lot of room in the driveway available to them. The roof was done in a day! The guys were well organized, polite and fairly neat. I'm fussy.... I found a few nails and had to clean off a few plants. I would highly recommend Central so far. They have one more job to do on the gable ends of our house. Stay tuned. My neighbor also selected Central for their roof. She also got several estimates and I trust her opinion.

The entire process went exactly as planned and expected from start to finish. The estimate for the gutter replacement was included in a larger estimate to include window replacement. The estimate was performed on time when scheduled. Options were presented and recommendations made as appropriate and I appreciated that. Each item and option was clearly listed in the estimate providing a kind of menu. We decided to go ahead with the gutter replacement. The job was scheduled and performed within a week. It would have been sooner but, when the crew came out, they realized that I had not specified my choice of downspout color - they allowed us to make the color selection and came back a day later with the appropriate materials. The gutter installer made a recommendation to change the gutter configuration which resulted in additional materials being required - Central was very accommodating with respect to the cost. When the job was completed, I had some questions on the installation. The questions were addressed promptly and to my satisfaction. The crew was very professional: prompt, courteous, and experienced. I completely recommend Central Exteriors.

Start of work was delayed, which was fine with us. Work was completed in two days and cleanup was very good each night. We were pleased with the work.

I contacted them before I bought the Big Deal and checked them out on several different venues and was surprised to find out that they were not licensed in Virginia, so I ended up getting a refund for the Big Deal. I would have appreciated it if they were more upfront about that fact before I bought the Deal.

The foreman who did the job on my roof brought his son to work. At the time, his son was only 7 years old and he was doing work on the highest point of my roof. I thought he was just a short person. It never dawned on me that there was a little kid working on my roof. Once I realized he was a child, I had to make sure the kid came inside to watch television to make sure that the kid didn?t get onto my roof. I noticed he kept inching closer to the ladder. I made him get down off the roof and the way he handled himself, I realized that he was totally comfortable. This told me that he does this a lot and that it wasn?t new to him. The other workers were also obviously comfortable with the child?s presence on the roof. This creates a huge liability for the homeowners. They also did collateral damage to my siding. I was going to have the siding painted but had to replace it when they messed it up. I tried to get them to fix it and even went to the Maryland commission but they said that they couldn?t make them do work that they weren?t experts in. So, because they weren?t siding people, they couldn?t be forced to fix it. When I was meeting with the Maryland commission representative, they lied. They tried to out-talk me because I didn?t know the roofing language. Normally, you get an estimate and they do the work. They ended up telling me that I had more rotting wood than they originally thought which I now believe was untrue. They said that they could improve the ventilation of my roof by installing a new ventilation system called ridge-vents. When they added this ridge-vent, they should?ve closed the gables on the side. Instead of doing that, they left the gables on and that changed the flow of air. Then I started to take on more icicles. I asked him to make my roof back to the way it was. His solution was to come back and remove the ridge-vents. I found out that I really need the venting system. He argued that I told him to remove them. After going back and forth, he sent me a check for $144.00 for the ridge-vent system. I gave them a ?D? in punctuality because it was supposed to be a one day job and they had to come back the next day to finish.

The project went very well. The project manager was courteous, helpful, and punctual. He explained patiently what the project was all about, as well as which ventilation was the best for our roof (for example, he explained us that the ridge vent would not be as effective on our roof as a new attic fan). The roofers showed up on time, the job was finished in one day, we did not find a single piece of debris left. When it turned out that the fan was a little bit too complicated for the roofers to hook up, the project manager sent in a company's electrician, and the fan was hooked up in no time. All in all, we were very pleased and we would hire this company again.

Was very responsive in providing an estimate and doing the work even though it was a small job for them. They also advised us on siding issues we were having, suggesting that the cost of the work it would take to fix the minor problem was not worth the expense. They were willing to work with us to find a solution on how to send the downspout into our rainbarrel in the summer and into the grass during the winter. The finished within a couple hours and cleaned up all their debris. We should have had them come two years ago.

I thought the man that came out was nice and honest. He did say that don't need a new roof right now. He said that if I did need, or decide wanted a new roof, or it went bad, that he would honor the price that was quoted.

We are very pleased with the work and intend to work with the company in the near future, when our budget allows for additional work on our home. I contacted the company and Mitch returned my call very quickly. We communicated via phone and email and met in person at my home to go over the work that we wanted, pricing, etc. Mitch answered all of my questions with patience and kindness and explained the pros and cons of different materials, etc. We then continued our conversations via email when my family was deciding which projects we could accomplish within our budget, and which to wait on until a different date. Mitch kindly priced everything out for us, so that we could make an educated decision. Once we decided to move forward with the work, communication was great. Mitch was very responsive to emails and phone calls. As was Frank, the person in charge of windows/carpentry. I met with Frank in person and he measured all of the windows again, to confirm size and ordering. He too was incredibly kind and patient and I never felt rushed. The work was completed well. The work crews were both very kind and cleaned up well. Payment was easy as well and a confirmation /receipt for my credit card came in the mail within just a few days, along with a final invoice. Invoices were also sent to confirm deposits, etc. along the way. We felt that the pricing was very reasonable.

They respected my decision that the roof could be repaired rather than replacing it, and considering my age, it would see me out. They were very good in explaining what they would do, how they would do it, and how long it would take. They were very active and they were very responsive, but their prices were more than everyone who bid. I have no complaints, it’s just that the prices were more than I could afford.
