Central Exteriors

This is the second time my roof has had this problem. Last year I hired a different roofing company to fix it. It seemed OK for about a year until a few weeks ago when I noticed water damage on the ceiling again. The roofer that came this time from Central Roofing said the roof was not properly patched last year and thus it leaked again. He then did a good job fixing it because unlike the previous repair man from last year, he lifted the roofing shingles up and made sure he thoroughly patched the area around the vent so it will not leak again. If I had hired Central Roofing in the first place, I would not have had to repair the same leak 2 years in a row.

I worked with one of the owners, Mitch Greenberg. Though I never got a chance to meet him, we coordinated through email. Since this was an insurance claim, Mitch was very helpful in answering my questions and maximizing my return and staying within budget. Once the room removal began, it was discovered that most of the roof boards were damaged and below standard grade. It was an additional $2500 we were not expecting to shell out, but I'm glad to know that our roof was done right and upgraded to 30 year laminated shingles. I was not happy with the existing copper flashing we had and Mitch replaced it with black flashing at no charge. In addition, I inquired about putting matching shingles on my backyard shed. Mitch offered to provide the materials for free but had to charge $300 to put on the shingles. I thought it was easy enough of a job that I could do it myself. It took me a full day but it looks great.

The overall job was performed very well. They were on time and professional from start to finish.

He arrived in a timely manner, was courteous and immediately checked the roof. Upon his completion of the checking of the roof, he informed my husband of his findings and what he had replaced.

They were kind of straightforward if they have any problems to check my roof. And my roof checked out okay. They seem like they are a reputable company and they did the job that I asked them to do.

They did a great job and were very professional.

They were the most reasonable of three estimates, the deposit required was only $500., and the work was completed quickly and professionally. They did not find any additional work (rotten wood etc), and the completed cost was exactly as the estimate. They did an excellent job cleaning up after the work as well. I would absolutely recommend them.

The quote was well detailed and competitive. The crew was fast and did it all in one day. Terry of Central Roofing was very flexible with scheduling the work. They also did some gutter work for us. All and all, a clear A (I put n/a for Quality because one only knows the quality of a roofing job after some time has passed!)

Good job. The service man was friendly and efficient. He explained things clearly and honestly. (I don't need a new roof.)He He offered a substantial discount when/if I used his company for a new roof when it was needed. He did not tried to sell a service I didn't need. I really appreciated that. When I need a roof, I will likely call his company.

Overall, I think it went well. The service man ( I think his name was George) was professional and took the time to explain what needed to be done. For the second visit, I paid over $700. I did not take the time to compare with other companies prices, but I felt comfortable, and believe I got a fair price for the additional work completed.

The gut moved the appointment from 8 am to 7:30 and then arrived at 7:20. This wouldn't have been an issue except that I had house guests. I reviewed with him the concerns I had. After his walking the roof, he told me he had caulked around the flashing to fix the leak and cleaned and cleaned the gutters. He made a couple of suggestions, mostly to cut down trees that shade the roof and left. He actually cleaned about half the gutters and in Sandy Storm the roof leaked again. So that is not a service I will bother with again.

Ths company is great. The gentleman who came to my house was completely professional and assured me that the roof did not need replacing at this tme. I was concerned as another company had come by to look at the roof. Roofworks, the other company, quoted me a price of $1500 to do the basic maintenance and insisted my roof was bad. They wanted $12,000 to replace it. When I said I couldn't afford it they said they could replace only part of it for $4000 dollars. I paid Central Roofing and Siding $149 for the maintenance work that the other company wanted $1500 for. Everything was explained to me before doing the work. There was no leftover mess for me to clean up. I was so pleased with the service I asked to speak with someone about what replacing a roof would entail for when the time comes. I received a prompt call from the company and the person answered all of my questions. When I need a new roof I will use this company. When I had a gutter problem I called them as well. i turns out that they do not repair gutters but they referred me to a company that did a very good job.

After noticing a roofing tile had loosened after the "derecho" last summer, we purchased this deal which included an inspection and minor repairs. The person who came out was very professional. During his inspection he fixed the loosened tiles, he also caulked around our chimney after noticing it hadn't been caulked after a new liner was put in, and he shortened the connection between gutters so that fewer leaves would get stuck at the joints. We were happy with the service and the price and will definitely use them again.

The technician was very professional, thorough and forthright. He additionally offered a discount on future work if need be. We'll use Central again.

The man inspected my roof. He found a shingle that was messed up and removed it to show to me and replaced it with a good one. The inspection gave me peace of mind after ice buildup from snowmageddon. They were prompt and courteous and didn't try to sell me work I didn't need. I hadn't realized he had already replaced the shingle, and called the company because I was concerned there was a bare spot. They responded quickly and cleared up my confusion.

The repair man was on time and was very personable. First he check my roof and provided me a fair price to repair the shingles. About two years ago, I had used another roofing company name Kelbe out of Baltimore. I felt that the owner price was too high and the work was poorly done. I would highly recommend Central Roofing to anyone requiring roofing services.

Roofing guys arrived one day early but otherwise installation went as described. They removed old roofing, hauled it away, and installed ridge vent and new premium shingles using architectural design. Removed all gutters and installed new ones. Cleaned up nicely.

Dennis, the Central Roofing estimator, came right at the time arranged. He did an in-depth inspection of the roof from up-top and even inside the attic. He went carefully through the various options available to us, indicating (at our request) those he felt were important and those he felt were a matter of choice, but not as important. We asked for time to think about the various options and also to have another company come with an estimate, and this posed no problem at all. We called the next day and asked if he could provide some homes for us to look at that had used the two colors of shingles we were considering, and within a few hours he emailed three addresses for each of them. When we let him know that we were ready for an estimate, he sent a proposal that gave the initial price and then itemized each of the additional upgrades we requested. The final amount on the proposal was exactly the amount we paid--no added costs at all. Of the three estimates we got, theirs was the lowest (using the same grade/brand of shingles) and we were the most pleased with their presentation and explanation of how the work would be done. Once we signed the contract, a date within a week of when we signed was set up for the project. They came right on time and finished in two days. The third day a worker came to finish the detailed cleaning up. The project manager was professional and neat. They covered all of our shrubbery, made sure nothing was damaged, and cleaned up completely when the project was finished--we never found so much as a nail left over! We were able to ask a few questions we had along the way, and he took the time to answer them completely. The only small problem we had was on the half-way through the final day the manager moved on to another project and the two workers who remained, who were competent, did not speak English. However, there were no issues and the job was done to our utmost satisfaction. We highly recommend Central Roofing!

Price was competitive, representative was helpful in selecting shingles and going over details. Job looks generally very well done - there was one trim item that they were a little too quick on.

After a prompt visit from someone who checked out the roof and necessary repairs, I was expecting an estimate, but a couple of weeks went by without one. Because I wasn't totally satisfied with the other companies from whom I had estimates, I sent a "last chance" email to the company. I heard back very quickly from the president of the company, who explained how busy they'd been after the storm in June and soon sent me an estimate himself. I then gave him a chance to sell me on his company, despite the bad beginning, and he did so. The work was done on schedule, all of the roofing in one (long) day, the gutter repair a couple of days later. The roofers did a great job and cleaned up everything before they left. The gutter subcontractor tore up a bit of the lawn by the street with his truck; the company compensated with a deduction from the total price.

Showed up on time and was able to take care of other minor roof fixes during visit.

They were able to replace missing shingles as part of inspection.
