Description of Work: Replaced roofing with new 30yr. Certainteed Architectural Shingles, New drip edge and ice dam prevention. Removed all old shingles and did an excellent job of clean-up. This write up is 4 months after the work was completed and the results have been excellent. Should have did it sooner. I also plan on contacting them concerning additional blown insulation in the attic to add aditional R-value to attic.

Description of Work: They came in as the lowest quote. very responsive and punctual. It was a very close call for me to decide between them and the one I used. mostly because, my friend had use the other guy before.

Description of Work: God Bless this company! (I hope they do not get too many cheap jobs because of this cheap customer). I called requesting repair of displaced shingles and Chris came within half an hour of my call (and joked that perhaps I was not expecting him this early). He advised me that roofs in my area were more than 25 years old and should be replaced. When I told him my roof was less than 10 years old, he went up, replaced missing shingles with matching ones, came down in minutes and billed me $300/-. I was shocked and elated at the promptness, efficiency, receptivity to customer comments, brutal honesty, and reasonableness (new word?) of the price. (I had actually lost sleep the previous night dreading the next rain or snow and the internal damage that would cause). He explained to me that when the shingles were replaced earlier, the nail gun used was too strong and the nails went through the shingles and the wind had blown them off. He gave me his card and off he went. I have hesitated to write reviews because most of my previous experiences with contractors, even those praised here, were quite negative. I have homes in other parts of the world (albeit cheap ones) and maintaining them is a royal pain. Less than 2.5% of the contract folks fall in the catergory of this gentle company. Chris was thrilled when I told him (half an hour ago) that I would be writing about my experience on Angie's list and thanked me. Description of Work: We didn't actually end up using their services for reasons unrelated, but I wanted to tell everyone how FABULOUS I thought Terry (owner) was! He promptly came and gave and estimate that was VERY reasonable!!! He was very professional, courteous and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend trying him.

Description of Work: I had a pretty bad leak in the back of the house coming from my roof and they repaired the leak.

Description of Work: Seemed to be good at first but couldnt get a quote on the current energy tax qualified products. They have former customers for referrals who should be on the payroll. The qualifying roof materials had just changed but I went with Roofworks because I had more confidence they could do a good roof job as well as the tax credit paperwork.

Description of Work: The company was supposed to do an estimate for roof repairs on a Saturday in April and called several times in advance to confirm. One of the last times they called they indicated that they had inadvertantly scheduled a Saturday appointment when they should not have done so, but assured us that they would be sending someone out regardless. They were complete no-shows on the actual day and never called to explain. We booked the appointment at least a month in advance.

Description of Work: I asked for bids to replace the current slate roof. Central's bid was the lowest and I was impressed by their professionalism and friendliness. In the end, I chose another contractor well versed in dealing with slate to replace only the dormer section where the slate was rotten and to repair the slate roof elsewhere. I plan however, to use Central to replace the roof of another house.

Description of Work: Based on the reviews on Angie's List and the company's website I called to arrange a roof inspection and spoke with Eric. Despite the fact that the company claims to service PG county, Eric stated the the distance was too far because the company is in Rockville. (I happen to work in Rockville and it's a 35 min. drive during non rush hours). I got the impression from Eric that it just wasn't worth his time. It's unfortunate that a company with such great reviews is no different than most contractors. MORE INTERESTED IN HOW MUCH MONEY THEY MIGHT MAKE INSTEAD OF CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Description of Work: Roof mounted attic fan needed replacement. First called electrician who was to have done entire job, but he encountered difficulties in removing old fan. Electrician did wiring and recommended calling roofer to install fan. I called Central who removed old fan and installed new fan, but did not do electrical work.

Description of Work: They repaired a hole in the roof and checked some leaking spots. It turned out to be backed up gutters.

Description of Work: I had new gutters installed on my house. They promptly returned my phone call and provided an estimate within one week. Their estimate came out in the middle, I had 1 estimate for $1000 and a second for $1300 then Centrals was $1400 and the fourth was $2800 only Central and the fourth one were from Angie's List. I went with Central because they are family owned business who have been operating in this area for a long time, instead of an individual contractor who might never find if something went wrong. They were courteous, prompt and the work was done very well, I highly recommend them.
