 + 2 moreVery pleased with result. I like to use local businesses so returned to Aladdin in Gaithersburg for a second time. Henry came to our home and measured and was polite and respectful, even removing his shoes at the front door.I shopped at other places as well as the big box stores. We were hoping to find a company to do the carpeting but also replace the old baseboards as well as the trim around all the upstairs doors and stairs. Aladdin was the only one who delivered all. I believe the TileCenter is their sister company, and Carlos removed all the old trim, installed the new and also painted all of it. Next day Sergio came with his assistant, removed all the old carpet and padding, then cleaned up before installing the beautiful textured carpet, including runners for the stairs. They were cleaning up as they went along, and moved a couple of pieces of furniture out the way. The transition from each room and hallway is seamless. The carpet has a contemporary flair with some texture in a light, neutral taupe. We would highly recommend Aladdin Carpet & Floors

 + 0 moreWe would highly recommend Aladdin Carpet and Floors for their excellent work installing wall-to-wall carpeting in three rooms of our home, and an Oriental-patterned runner on two sets of stairs and the landings that connected the stairs. Specifically, we would also like to single out their carpet installer, Sergio, for his hard work and exacting and artistic standards. Sergio, was very precise in all of his work and did a beautiful job on all of the above mentioned projects. We were particularly impressed with the work he did in laying the patterned runners. The runners could not simply be put down in a straight line, but had to be geometrically measured, precisely cut and pieced together to have the finished product be continuous. With the two sets of stairs and the right-angle turns, it would have been very noticeable if the pattern had not been matched properly. Sergio’s very exacting work gave us a beautiful stairway!

 + 0 moreThe whole process could not have gone better. After gathering four estimates there was no question that the best value for my money was going to be with Aladdin/Costco. Mr. Majid Zamani was sent to estimate my project. And he rates excellent with his concern for me as a customer, wanting to satisfy my carpeting needs within the price point I had in mind. He arrived punctually, listened and then provided samples as well as advice, thereby assuring that what I needed to have happen, could. He took the vital and accurate measurements as well as coordinate the payment process and install--all within my specified time frame. There was a minor 'hiccup' by a different staff contact, but a quick call to Mr. Samani and all was correct. He represents the company well with his professionalism, accuracy and apparent knowledge. He adds the reassurance of giving his phone contact and answers any calls promptly and with resolve. Sergio Portillo and assistant arrived very prompt on the assigned day of install and were completely courteous, efficient and together they handled removal of old and install of the new carpet. The few times I glimpsed the project as they worked, Mr. Portillo was glad to explain and answer any questions I had. He and his assistant cleaned (vacuumed) up the unavoidable bits of carpet tufts and overall provided an outstanding service. Efficient, quick and beautiful when completed.

 + -1 moreWe had nothing but the best experience with this company. Henry, the salesperson, came to our home and was super professional. He even told us, if we joined Costco, we could get an additional 10% discount off the already low price for a Shaw luxury vinyl floor for our Bowie home. The carpet store down the street wanted an additional $1,200 over the before-Costco price. No brainer. The installation crew under Edgardo was top notch. Estimated time was 2.5 days, they did it in 1.5. Super pros fitted everything perfectly. No complaints. We would recommend Aladdin Carpet and Floors / Costco to anyone.

 + -1 morel have just had hardwood floors put into our bedroom. They are gorgeous! Mr. Henry ZiAolhagh, the gentleman from Aladdin Carpeting and Flooring took such good care of us. He handled our ordering process. He told us exactly what would happen and when; he came and checked that the wood had been delivered and he came after the installation to be sure everything was good. He was so much more than "just a salesman"; He was a friend we could trust. If we need anything else, we will certainly call Costco and/or Aladdin to get him to help us with our next project.

Pluses and cons were identified. All materials were received promptly with follow up by Aladdin. We are very happy with the service provided. Aladdin was very patient with us. They have an excellent selection of products and are very knowledgeable. We highly recommend Aladdin and will definitely use them again.
Description of Work: We needed new floors that would be pet friendly and not destroyed by water. We also needed to update the kitchen I.e. remove drop ceiling, new appliances, new countertop and backsplash. 1 before picture has been provided of the kitchen and 4 after pictures.

The pricing was fair (comparable companies gave us about the same quotes), and they did a great job with installing the product. I would strongly recommend Alan and Aladdin.

 + 0 moreFortunately, I discovered the practice before my purchase but I wonder how many customers do not know what carpeting was really installed
Description of Work: Beware: They use fraudulent sales practices I visited the store to purchase carpeting. The salesman told me that they did not have specifications for the carpets because "that is what just the big box store do because they don't know anything about carpet." He then told me he could give me a deal on high-end Mohawk Anso nylon carpet at half price because they had purchased too many rolls for a job. He "couldn't find" the sample book in the store but "checked in the back" and gave me the name of the carpet and an unmarked sample. After taking the sample home I called Mohawk and determined that it was not Anso nylon but Mohawk's lower grade Endura nylon. When I went back to the store he "found" the sample book, which was front and center in the store, with the price he gave me and misrepresented as "half price"

It took us several weeks and many floor samples brought home to find what we wanted. Once we found the floor we wanted, they were able to schedule us very quickly. The installation went great - they guys were prompt and professional, and did a beautiful job. We are very happy with our new flooring.

 + -1 moreIt went excellently. We worked with Sasan on the quote and sales end, and he was friendly, responsive, and professional. We worked with Miguel on the actual installation. We have a sump pump in our basement, and they initially left out that we wanted to retain access to it, but after discussing it with them, they built an access panel in the floor. After a rough year in which we lost our comfortable, finished basement due to water damage, Aladdin's floor was the final touch on getting our space back and it looked and felt great. I would highly recommend them and would hire them for future work.
Description of Work: Aladdin's Carpet and Floors installed a laminate floor and baseboards in our basement. We had water damage that ruined the previous floors, and had to have them replaced. We had a drainage system installed prior to our hiring of Aladdin's so they only did the replacement, not the removal of the old floor.

 + 0 moreEdgardo worked with me to develop a custom stain color (driftwood) that is gorgeous. In contrast to another bid that said it was too much work to go around bannisters, so they wanted to sell me new ones, they worked around my existing woodwork beautifully. They kept to the promised schedule, covered everything, made so little dust I couldn't believe it, and worked with me to move so much stuff around I thought that we were all playing Jenga. I am so glad I did it, and cannot praise them enough. I intend to use them to replace my kitchen linoleum (yes, linoleum) to finish the rehab of my house. I honestly feel wonderful each time I walk into the house.
Description of Work: This company did a number of jobs and I plan to have them back to do more. They replaced carpet in my basement, which required a complete redo because of waterproofing work. They were prompt, efficient, and did much more work to make it happen easily than I expected, given how crowded my small furnished house is. I was so relieved at their professional attitude that I contracted them to redo ALL of my wood floors in a two-story, tiny, overfurnished colonial that had floors ruined by 30 years of children and dogs. They did every room and closet (nothing in my house is carpeted other than the basement), stairs, etc.

 + 2 moreI really like Aladdin Carpet. Eddy was the design consultant and Miguel was the installer. Eddy made the planning process easy. We knew what tile we wanted and Eddy helped us select the best installation pattern for the size and configuration of our room. Miguel was the installer and he was amazing. Each step of his work was meticulous. He installed and underlayment and then the tiles. Although the pattern wasn't too complex, it did require attention to the layout and positioning to make it look correct. The finished floor is beautiful.

He then set out to repair the things that was missed during installation. I would have to say am really impressed by the finished product now. Two weeks lates, they delivered the pieces in our living room to let it assimilate to the atmosphere. Next weekend, they came in and completed the hardwood flooring.
