ABC Garage Door Repair

I purchased this because my garage was making loud noises and figured it needed a tune up. They fixed the garage but they ended up charging more due to the type of garage I had. The service was fast. I had no further issues with my garage door.

Arrived one time, explained options, performed work. Fast and professional service.

I was given to understand that the service included everything to do with garage door repair. Instead all he did was to replace rollers on the rails of the door. What I needed was door alignment and replacement of insulations. He promised to get back to me regarding door insulation but that never occurred. The problem was that the scope of the work (in the Angie writeup) to be performed was too general/non-specific. What he did was fine but I didn't need the rollers replaced.

They did a pretty good job. They were on time for their appointment. They completed the work in a timely manner.

The service was fine. There were additional charges apart from the big deal. I ended up being upcharged and I wasn't overall happy about it. The guy who came out argued with me.

The installer was somewhat surprised by the triple layer door and the original estimator left out the need for a low clearance bracket, but the installer adapted to the situation. He removed the obstructing shelf at my request and it took him more time, but he did a great job.

My experience was terrible. I paid for the service, they performed the service and within 24 hours of them leaving my garage door totally broke. And I had to manually lift an electric garage door and then the unit was literally held on by a shoe string to the ceiling and the garage. Upon calling the owner and being extremely upset, he said "Oh, that is just a coincidence." All I had was a preventative maintenance done for $99 which they greased the rollers. Bottom line is it was a terrible experience, and I was gonna use them to purchase a new garage door and I would not ever use their service again. Because in order to get the garage door repaired, it cost me additional $369 out of my pocket because their technician was incompetent and just trying to lubricate roller and adjust the spring. The very next day the spring broke and the door collapsed, like I said I had to get my car out of the garage and with the help of the neighbor, we manually lifted the garage door and then the unit fell down from the ceiling and the only way he would come back ad fix it was to charge me $369 and at that point I had no time to shop around the services. I have an electric garage door in which the unit stayed closed, the unit was hanging from the ceiling inside the garage and it was a nightmare of an experience. I took that long to book them to come out, which was not really such an issue for me as it was the fact that when they did finally come out, I paid for that way in advance, they had the coupon, they honored the $99 price.

Service went well - technician explained cause of problem and performed work professionally and quickly. Garage door has worked fine since. Only reason for B on punctuality - service was originally scheduled between 1-4 PM, but due to a busy day technician was not able to arrive until after 5:30 PM.

It was good. The door works smoother.

They were pretty good for a few months but the garage door is off track. They came out fairly quickly. It was really good pricing. I would probably call them back again but I don't know because they've come out once before so that wouldn't be smart. I don't know if it's my garage door that needs to be fixed or is if there was something that they're not doing.

Everything was fine. We were actually impressed with everything. They sold some other stuff as well. We got some other parts for the garage door. It wasn't actually not the price on the "Big Deal", it was low and we needed it so it was okay. He did a good job.

The tech who responded to my initial call was very knowledgeable. He presented several options for replacing the old, broken garage door. I ultimately chose to upgrade to an insulated door. I also asked to replace the garage door opener with one that was quieter and has an outside keypad. Because the garage door was not a standard size, I had to wait over two weeks for the installation. The technician who installed the door was professional and efficient, and showed me how to use the opener and the keypad before he left. The office staff is friendly and prompt about returning calls. I like that the technicians wear shirts with the ABC logo, and also provides his name so that I'm sure about who is showing up at my door. I was impressed that the technician called twice to update me on his arrival time. I will not hesitate to use ABC's services again.

They came on time and did a good job. Tech. was knowledgeable and had a good attitude. We ended up buying a new garage door from them.

The cost at which the door tune-up service was performed was fabulous. 30 rollers were replaced on 2 garage doors at an awesome price. I had an issue later after 4 months when one of the garage doors would not open/close unless I hold the button . Called ABC Co. A technician home to check the door function. Sensors were knocked off position. He corrected it with out any charge even though it was not their mistake. Never had any issues seen.

Our garage door stopped working but still made a humming sound when you pushed the button. It took about a week to schedule someone out to our home. The tech was on time and very professional. Our motor had died so he installed a new one, new sensors, and an extra remote. Whole process went smoothly.

Tech was professional and nice. Just didn't feel like he did too much for the $170 I paid. I did laugh when he said my garage opener was from the dinosaur age! I guess it's time to look at a replacement!

I initially used another company to get an estimate for a large 16 x 8 garage door installation. Unfortunately, the contractor that came for the estimate said No work could even be started without a 4x6 Frame and Trimming around the entrance; additionally that kind of job could cost an extra $1600-$1800 on top of the estimated $2500 (not including a garage door opener). I called 5 other garage door companies from Angie's List; however, none of them wanted to do the framing. ABC Garage Repair was the 7th garage door company I called. Jesse was quite pleasant and assured me that they had someone on staff that does framing. She was actually surprised other garage door companies didn't offer this service. Jed came out the very next day for an estimate. ABC's quote was more than 50% LESS than the initial estimate. On top of that, they had that size garage door in stock and could install it by the next week! Yesterday (5/6), Jed came for the installation. Although he came more than 1 1/2 after the designated timeframe (hence the B grade), he did call to let me know that he was running late and apologized for the potential inconvenience. Everything was installed that day. Jed let me know that the carport foundation is on an unavoidable slope, hence the tiny uneven gap in the garage door. Nevertheless, excellent work in a short amount of time at an affordable price. They also have great customer service. I would definitely recommend ABC Garage Repair to anyone looking for garage door installation :)

Called to make appointment. They accommodated my calendar easily. Tech was on time and finished work quickly but thoroughly. Overall I'm happy with the service.

He obviously knew his trade and would answer my questions and show me what was wrong or what I could do in the future for maintenance. He was professional, worked quickly but carefully. The door opener runs very quietly but the opener buttons seem to me to be a little flimsy but works ok. I'm not sure if I could have saved about $100 by just getting a new door opener.

I like this company. It was easy to get an appointment. The technician showed up on time. The technician was experienced and answered all my questions. He listened to me - this was second time I had tried to get the door adjusted. The first company didn't fix underlying problems. This company's tech listened when I described what I had seen happening. In addition to the tuneup on the Big deal. I requested a tuneup on the second door and also purchased a third remote control. The Big Deal was $109 and he did the second door at a dsicounted rate.I would definitely hire them again.
