"Avoid Power Home Remodeling at all costs. This was one of the most frustrating experiences I’ve ever had with a company. I’ll be actively warning everyone I know to stay far away, and I truly hope this review helps others do the same. A representative from Powers came to my door and said they were doing work in the neighborhood. He offered a free quote on a new roof. I didn’t have time that day, so we scheduled a follow-up for Saturday morning. I assumed it would be straightforward—measure the roof, give me a quote. Oh, how wrong I was. On Saturday, a completely different representative showed up and proceeded to deliver a five-hour sales pitch. I made it clear from the start that I was only looking for a roof quote—but instead, I got a relentless push for add-ons like doors, gutters, and radiant barriers. He brought out props, used aggressive high-pressure tactics, and repeatedly tried to get me to sign on the spot—despite me stating multiple times that I wasn’t making any decisions that day. The entire experience felt deceptive, exhausting, and borderline coercive. I didn’t agree to a five-hour in-home ambush—I just wanted a quote. Power Home Remodeling will waste your time and try to pressure you into overpriced services, and make it extremely difficult to get them to leave, even after you’ve clearly said no."

"What an amazing experience from start to finish! Initially, the sales rep took the time to explain every facet of the process, history and quality assurance of the company before, during and after installation of my windows. All next steps given were followed up promptly by a courteous customer service rep through emails and text messages. An expert came out and measured all windows for precise fitting. He then also made me aware of next steps. While I awaited for my windows to be custom made, I received periodic messages providing anticipated dates due to shortage of materials. Once my windows were ready for installation, a date and time was scheduled for a team to come to install the windows. My Oh MY!!! Did they send me the BEST crew ever!!! The team lead walked with me to each window location in my home to ensure the measured window would be installed in the right location per the measurement appearing on the window pane left by the measurer. The crew worked steadfastly throughout the day. They took a brief lunch break. The crew members paused to address any questions my sister or I had. They were polite and friendly. This crew completed the task just before a fierce thunderstorm rolled through the area. During the inspection walk, we noticed one window pane was broken. NO worries, the crew leader had already contacted headquarters to place a replacement order. In a day or so following the installation, a representative reached out to me to explain next steps! My home feels so much cozier and sound since the installation of the windows. I have had to make adjustments to my thermostat because my home stays cooler longer! He thought he was dealing with an uninformed senior and I believe this was a clear case of elder abuse and a scam."

"While I appreciate the company's attempt to rectify initial issues, our overall experience with this solar installation was unfortunately very unprofessional. The initial installation team demonstrated a lack of respect for our property, damaging plants, leaving debris (including an orange cone), and inappropriately using our private bathroom despite a readily available public restroom on the premises. Following my initial negative review, the company offered a Home Depot gift card as compensation, which wasn't particularly useful to us. They also offered to address some unrelated roof repairs they noticed, but I questioned why these weren't addressed during the original solar installation. Scheduling follow-up work proved equally frustrating. An appointment was scheduled for Wednesday, but the crew arrived a day early on Tuesday without prior communication. While I appreciated them attempting to complete the work ahead of schedule, they left the roof partially finished overnight, exposed to potential weather damage. Furthermore, the crew damaged another plant box during the Tuesday work and continued noisy work – including banging on the roof – until 8:30 PM on Wednesday, violating DC noise ordinances that typically require work to conclude by 7:30 PM. This put us at risk of a city violation. Throughout the entire process, communication was poor and the lack of consideration for our property and local regulations was deeply concerning. While I appreciate the attempt to make things right, the experience was ultimately not ideal and left us feeling very dissatisfied."

"Beware: company recently sold beginning of 2024 to new owners. Not same reputable company it used to be! This has been an absolute nightmare experience. This company has no idea what they are doing and poor customer service / management. We are building a 4 season room and ordered 19 windows totaling about $19,000. Contract signed December 8, 2023. Windows measured January 8, 2024 and told about 7-9 weeks until job completion. Windows had to be remeasured February 28th as no one noticed the measurements were not correct / order sitting on a desk. On installation day, 2 windows were incorrect. Was told replacement windows was supposed to be rushed ordered 2 weeks and promised “top priority” by manager Alen D to get them installed (April 9th) – only to have it delayed another 6 weeks (May 21+22) installed. Windows took 19 weeks from the day they were supposed to have been “ordered”. Communication with office staff and “managers” extremely poor and we were ghosted multiple times."

"The company goes out of their way to ignore reviewing HOA policy. They installed doors that were not up to code based on HOA policy. More concerning for a small $1,000 balance of a $5,000 job, they threatened while saying good luck to me....to file a mechanics lien on my $2,300,000 paid off house. IT IS AGAINST STATE LAW TO FILE A MECHANICS LIEN AGAINST A RESIDENCE UNLESS THE VALUE OF THE JOB INCREASES THE RESIDENCES VALUE BY 15% OR MORE. They are threatening and go around every legal corner to get what they want including their bogus sales pitches."

"This business responded promptly Appt was a Saturday 5/18/19 he was on time and very informative signed contract same day, Received call on 5/20/19 to schedule an appointment to have final measurements on windows scheduled for Tuesday 5/21/19, He showed up on time and very proficient, Window team showed up at 8:30 AM on Saturday 6/15/19 work was completed in about 2 hrs to replace 6 windows, Workers were very polite they cleaned up when done Very satisfied"
