He sanded my little bing room ceiling where a galvanized pipe broke and leak so it left a brow is rusty bubble I have plaster ceiling and walls. Then my roof leaked in my ceiling and stairwell couldn't even tell there was a problem the sparkling came out great and everything look very good even what I finished and I used a sander because I have had Breast cancer twice and I can't do the sanding by hand but I had the number of the wall paper he said to use and it turned out very nice. We paired the hall and I'm going to do the trim shill my husband does the ceiling. Thank you, Suzanne Rieger Kligys

Felix and his crew of floor refinished, headed by Armando, did a wonderful job. Their dust-containment equipment works better than any that we have seen, and they did everything right. They even refinished the wood thresholds of our two sliding glass doors, so they look even better than they did when our house was built 26 years ago. We had them use Bona Traffic, and Felix ended up using the Bona Traffic HD product, since the regular Traffic product was not available. They did excellent hand finishing in the corners, and on the edge of the staircase. They were all a pleasure to work with, and I am strongly recommending them to all my friends and family who need floor refinishing.

From the very start, Felix was very proactive in discussing with us what we wanted and the options for staining. He and his team were extremely professional and the results showed that, we are extremely happy with the results as neighbors who visited immediately noticed the improvements. Once we save enough dollars for upstairs, will gladly contact Felix and his team again to put hardwood down.

Unique Refinishing sanded and refinished oak hardwood flooring with clear, water-based poly. Replaced one board. Replaced all shoe moulding with new. Installed new oak transitions. Job only took two days. Dust was really minimal. Results were fantastic. Crew were very professional. Owner was extremely easy to work with. Definitely recommended.

The crew arrived promptly at 7:30am and got everything set up. They took great care to protect our valuables and placed plastic sheeting throughout the house. Even though the process is dustless, and it is, they still took measures to protect our food etc. They began sanding which lasted about 5 hours. They also got down on all fours and cleaned the dirt out of the cracks in the floor! Our floor is individual planks and it really took a lot of work. They finished applying all of the finish and were gone by 7pm. The floors look amazing!! We can't believe that these are actually the same floors! They really do look like we just installed a brand new floor.

They came on time. When the carpet was pulled up, we were surprised to find the hardwood floors that were finished up nicely.

Felix and his crew were great from the start. Felix was very responsive to my initial inquiry, the scheduling of the work, as well as the follow-up after the floors were completed. He clearly described the process that would happen, and he was flexible with the original estimate when they started the work and realized I would not need new quarter-round installed since the existing was of good quality. I was involved in all of the decisions (stain or no stain, oil- or water-based coating, etc.). Felix and his crew arrived on time, and were very efficient and professional. Felix took the time to explain all the steps of the process, and the pricing based on the work to be completed. The final price ended up being slightly lower than the initial estimate (which he accurately gave me over the phone based solely on my description, without having seen the floors). When they moved the refrigerator away from the wall, they found that the water line had been leaking (for what appeared to be quite a long time), so he immediately called me to tell me this, and that they had unhooked the water line, and moved the refrigerator into the garage and plugged it in. He ended up having to replace some of the boards that were damaged, but he did not charge me anything additional for doing that Initially, Felix did not think my wood would be able to take a coat of stain, so we decided on 3 coats of polyurethane and no stain. After starting the work, he questioned the type of wood the floors were made of and took a piece of it to someone who could help him identify it. I appreciated his attention to detail and his desire to make sure the work he did was top-notch.

I found their price to be reasonable. I would give them an "A" across the board.

They were fine. They weren't exceptional but they did the work.

Felix provided the best bid, and promised that his crew would be the same crew each day of work, could be trusted alone in the house, and had been all in his employ for the past six years, that they were skilled refinishing workers. This is important because after interviewing five others I soon learned that many use crews comprised of day laborers who may have limited experience with the equipment. Felix gave me good guidance on choosing the right stain and kept his promises as to the time frame of each stage of the job. The result is an exceptionally beautiful floor throughout the first floor. You can use this company knowing that your home is in good hands, your possessions are safe, the contract will be fulfilled and nothing will go wrong. That's my experience.

The gentleman who came out was very nice, prompt and on time. He had a couple of samples for me to look at but I didn't feel like there was enough choice.

Great service. The team really worked with us to make sure we were getting what we wanted, as we converted the floors from an enclosed dining room to a step down into our sunken living room. Offered us several stain colors, and when we noted that we really wanted to match a different stain color, they went out to buy new stain types to work to give us the perfect color.

Great crew of guys. Felix gave an estimate, stuck to it, and did what he said he would do. He gave a time frame to finish the work and he did it within the time frame without rushing. The floors look amazing, I couldn't have imagined it looking better!

It was fantastic. I could not have been more pleased. They surpassed my expectations completely. What is equally important is the fact that people who come in to look at the house are always commenting on how beautiful the floors look. I have absolutely no complaints. The flooring was back to it original beauty when he finished. They were on time, finished when they said they would, and were very nice and profession. I would definitely use them again, as well as recommend them to anyone needed their floors refinished.

I am the writer of the 1/7/14 review, and I wanted to follow up. Less than a month after Unique Refinishing did my floors, I spilled an entire tray of paint on my beautiful newly-refinished stairs! I called Felix and asked if he could do the stairs again. Felix sent his crew out within a few days, and they did another beautiful job. What's really impressive is that they only charged me for the actual cost of the job -- labor and materials, with no mark up. They had absolutely no obligation to do that; it was sheer coincidence that I spilled paint less than a month after the floors were refinished. I only wish that they would branch out into other types of work so I could hire them again.

Fantastic. As advertised, no dust. His special dust prevention system really works. Arrived on time, got the job done quickly without rushing. Felix is the greatest.

I had an excellent experience with this company and would recommend them without reservation. They refinished the hardwood floors throughout my house (6 rooms, including closets), and did a beautiful job. My floors were in terrible condition -- horribly worn and stained and damaged. When they were finished it was as if I had brand new floors. I've attached a picture to give you an idea of the before/after.

Our floors were in bad shape--lots of black areas and water damage. Felix and crew restored the oak flooring to its natural beauty. They turned out better than we'd expected. And somehow, the house was cleaner after the floors were finished than before! Great job!!

This provider came for an estimate only. Although the gentleman was pleasant and at ease evaluating, I was not comfortable without a written detailed estimate. The price was slightly less than others at first glance, but since nothing was clearly stated ( cost figure written on back of business card), I was not comfortable with the whole style.

The owner and his crew of 3 helpers were on time and very polite. The owner explained and wrote out the details of the process on the contract beforehand and pointed out each step as it was being done. The equipment was very good with no dust left on anything, much to my surprise. The low VOC BONA finish was almost odorless and each coat dried within 40 minutes. The whole process took about 7 hours. I would definitely hire them again.

It went excellent., everyone one on Felix's crew is very nice and professional. The job went as was planned even with working around our two dogs in the home. The showed up at the time they said they would start and The job was completed on time and at the quoted price. Not only would I use them again in the future, but as an insurance agent I would refer them to my clients. We are very happy with how smoothly the job went with no surprises and on time.

Felix, the owner, came to the house to provide an estimate. We discussed how to attack the project. Three weeks later, at our request, Felix an his crew came exactly at the time he told us. He explained the process, demonstrated a small area. We called the neighbors since they also had an interest in it. They also like what was shown. The three guys worked constantly and in the end the floor looked terrific. Even the water stained spot where the plant used to sit was gone despite Felix told us this spot might not clear up all the way. Felix came everyday once or twice to check on the project and to ask us how we liked it. This is a terrific crew. Highly recommended by us. Thanks Felix and crew.

I did not use this company because I have not yet moved forward with anyone at this time but I would call if I do. The owner was very helpful with my questions.
