Flex and his team did an excellent job restoring my hardwood floors. On time, completed job with no issues. Very neat and professional . Would highly recommend them.

Felix was absolutely a pleasure to work with. He did 2 houses for me. I bought a house in elkridge, had him give me a quote and decided to go with him. The price was so good I ended up getting him to refinish the floors at the house I was selling. I would text him asking questions or making changes and he was very responsive, even late in the day or on a weekend. He’s a very honest person too. Most recently we met to look at the job and he convinced me to do 2 additional rooms since they were there. Part of what he had to do was replace several boards in different locations of the house. He ended up not having to replace as many as he originally thought and gave me a $100 credit. I wouldn’t have known any better, but that is the type of person he is. I had some leftover quarter round trim from a project I did years ago, so I asked him how much to install it in places he wasn't sanding and he even installed that for free. If I could give them an A+, I would!

Great. Felix and his team did an excellent job and I'd be quick to hire him again. They breathed new life to my previously horribly worn first floor wood flooring. The were timely, responsive to questions, charged reasonably for the size of the job, and produced a high quality result.

I am absolutely pleased with the professionalism and quality of work from this company. I previously got hickory natural hardwood in my kitchen which clashed with my cherry wood stain hardwood floors in the foyer. Felix provided me on a quote and the best option to have my existing wood compliment the new wood. He was honest in explaining to me that if the existing natural wood was white oak then it probably won't match and that it was red oak it will probably compliment my hickory. They came 8:00 am. Was finished by 2. I was extremely please with there work. It compliments my hickory kitchen floors perfectly.

Felix and his crew did a fantastic job at a fair price. They removed the old kitchen floor and subfloor and removed the bedroom carpet, installed new hardwood, and refinished the other floors to match. Even after discovering significantly more repair work under the carpeted area, Felix insisted on keeping the price the same. The crew was professional and cleaned up the area well after each day. They matched the kitchen to the dining area perfectly. Would definately use them again.

I needed the original hardwood flooring in two small side rooms refinished. Felix was very pleasant to work with. Came out and gave me an estimate on his card the very same day. He was easy to get in contact with. The crew was right on time and friendly. Felix even stayed 30 minutes late when they were finished to wait for me to get home from an appointment. Also, the work was great. They made 60 year old floors look almost brand new. Very pleased. Thanks guys.

They put all my furniture back and clean up everything. Best money we ever spent. We would recommend them to anyone.

Felix is wonderful to work with. He is honest The floor looks beautiful. The workers cleaned after themselves and put my furniture back in place . Felix did extra work that he didn’t charge for. It’s hard to find people like him.

Everything went very smoothly. Felix and his workers were punctual, neat, and very pleasant. The floors look great!

Unique did an excellent job. They were prompt, thorough, fast, and courteous. The home was protected and cleaned thoroughly during sanding. The application of top coat was done with care and looked fabulous after several coats were applied. The finish has held up well in the 3 years since it was applied.

Job was done quickly with no mess and almost no dust and looks great. Total job was done in about 6 hours for a single bedroom including sanding and multiple coats of finish. End result looks great and has held up moving furniture back in etc....

He was fabulous. Felix showed up on time, he even helped fix my electrical box when there was an issue. They did an incredible job and their work was beautiful. They went above and beyond!

The estimate The interaction with Unique Refinishing was incredible. It was exactly what you would want with a contractor. Felix (the owner) showed up with at the appointed time (on a Saturday) for the estimate. I described to him the work. He took some measurements. We discussed color and finish options and offered me an estimate on the back of his card. He requested no payment until the job was done. He was in and out in about 25 minutes. On time, professional, efficient ..... Between the estimate and the work There was about 4 weeks between the estimate and the time that the work began. Minimal communication was needed with only a few emails going back and forth for final color coordination and finish selection. He sent a final confirmation the Friday before the work started to confirm time and we were good to go. He coordinated delivery of the material which arrived on time the Friday before work started. No pre work drama, no extended discussion, no long contract, no funds have been paid yet .... The work Felix and his crew showed up and ready to work at the appointed time. He estimated the work would take three days. That is exactly what happened. We had to leave the house 1 day to allow the floor to dry (exactly as he predicted). Everything was completed by the third day as predicted. Payment was made after the job was completed satisfactorily. Of particular note is the fact that Felix noticed that the new flooring that was delivered did not match the wood that was being refinished. (Recall that we wanted the two floor to match). He immediately responded on Monday when he arrived and arranged for new material to be delivered. All this was done without impacting the schedule ... impressive Results: Floors look great. Felix and his crew did exactly what they said they were going to do in the estimated amount of time. No payment before the job was finished, No long contracts, no fine print, no hidden costs ... a simple handshake and the deal was done and the result was great. this is what you want contractors to do ..... be honest, efficient, and perform quality work ......thanks for great job!!!!

Everything in the whole process went absolutely flawlessly. Felix got back to us immediately after the initial call. Came for an estimate within a couple days. As noted before, his estimate was done on the back of his business card. I might have been worried by this if I hadn't read on his reviews that this is his usual practice. Felix laid out his game plan as we had to do the refinishing in 2 stages since we were moving all our furniture back and forth within our house. He helped direct us where to buy the hardwood flooring for our master bedroom. From the beginning of the process until the end, Felix kept us of informed what would be happening, when it would be happening and what to expect. His incredibly hardworking crew showed up exactly on time and finished exactly on schedule. As stated in other reviews, he uses a dustless system and it performs as advertised. We had very little dust which was one of our main concerns in during this project. There were a couple of surprises as the steps and hallway had been carpeted but Unique handled them beautifully at no extra cost. Felix is proud that he sticks to his original estimate. All the floors look great. I have no hesitation in recommending Unique Refinishing.

The service was very good. I met them very briefly but they seemed very knowledgeable. The place looked spotless when they left. I just talked to the owner. They completed the work within a couple of days of taking to him. It took them two days to do the whole job.

They did an amazing job. The floors were repaired and it is not possible to see where the damage had been. They refinished the entire area and it looks great. They were courteous and very professional. It changed the complexion of our entire house.

Felix and his crew are amazing. The estimate was very reasonable, they worked my floor into their schedule immediately, they arrived daily at the time they indicated, they were courteous and neat throughout the five-day project, their craftsmanship is top-notch, they know their trade well, and they are extreme professionals. And, my floors look amazing! I hope I don't have to hire them in the near future (meaning my floors are doing fine!!) but I would definitely hire them again and recommend them to anyone.

Felix was great! He was very accommodating. We had to reschedule several times because other work in the house that needed to be completed before the floors were refinished was running behind schedule. He explained all the details of the process and helped us choose the best stain color for our house. He gave us the choice of water base or oil base stain. We chose water base because it dries more quickly and has less odor. He and all of the workers were very professional. Felix answered all of our questions and everything went pretty much just as he said it would. The best part about this was the amount of dust was very minimal and house was pretty clean after they had finished. This was extremely important to us! The whole process took 3 days so we stayed at a relative's house during the project. Felix encouraged us to come and observe the various stages as the job progressed. When it was completed, Felix explained the best way to get rid of the polyurethane smell even though the outside temperatures were only hitting the high 20's. He also gave us thorough instructions for aftercare on how to allow the floor to cure completely without scratching the wood. Finally, Felix's price was $1000 less than the other two estimates we got. It's been almost 4 weeks now. Floors look amazing and polyurethane odor is almost completely gone. We found that we needed more stained quarter round and offered to purchase it from Felix with the stain to match our floor. He gave us 30' feet at no charge. Thanks Felix!

Excellent. I am very pleased with Felix and his team. They arrived on time and actually finished the job one day earlier than quoted. Felix was very honest and charged me less because of the type of product he used and because the job was completed in one day. The floors are beautiful; I should have had this done a long time ago. Be aware that there is a little bit of dust, so plan accordingly and cover up. If I ever need to do floors again, I'll be calling Unique Refinishing!

Felix and his crew did a fantastic job refinishing my hardwood floors and replacing the molding. The floors look great! He came out to give me a free estimate, and then we setup the work for the following week. He was on time, courteous, and his crew not only did a nice job, they cleaned up after themselves. I would definitely use him again.

Felix and his guys are fantastic. The prices he offered was better than any I got, and the reviews for his company were far and beyond better than any competition. Based on reviews and price, and the impression I got in person, I went with him. The estimate process was simple, he came out and took a quick look around, and gave me a price on the back of his business card. I called and scheduled a few weeks later when we were ready to proceed. We have oak hardwood (red oak I believe) flooring that was original to the house (built in 1959). The floors were in pretty good shape, but the old oil based finish was badly yellowed and the finish was marred by years of use. So, the floors didn't look all that great. There was also some minor water damage around one of the windows which had leaked (this fortunately sanded out, so we didn't have to replace any boards). The job itself took 3 days (3 guys working the job). They have a great dust collection system which leaves virtually no dust at all - there is a HUGE vacuum system which collects all of the dust. I didn't detect even a fine coating of dust on surfaces in the house after they were done. As for professionalism, felix and his guys are great. He gave us options of what was available in terms of finish, and demonstrated them on the floors before doing them all (so you don't have the floors finished and you don't like what you see). When floors are refinished, they have to take up existing shoe molding so they can refinish the whole surface (this is normal practice). They went above and beyond expectations by offering to paint the shoe molding they would put down the color we were already using to re-paint trim and doors in our rooms with before putting it down for FREE! This saved us the terrible task of having to tape and re-paint trim after it was put down (BIG time savings for us). They also cleaned up after themselves, and didn't leave me with any sort of mess. The finished floors are spectacular! I cannot detect any real defects in workmanship. There are no drips (pooling of the finish coats). No dust or debris under the finish. The sanding job itself is not far from perfection (I cannot see any belt sander marks, or any other defects in the sanding). All things considered, things couldn't have gone better. I have recommended felix and his crew to people at work.

I had felix and his guys refinish approximately 1200 sq feet of my hardwood floors a few months back. The job they did was great, but I had to have them back for some additional work which we didn't expect to have. Unfortunately for us - we found more hardwood where it was least expected. It seems to be somewhat common for older homes to have hardwood under carpeting (popular in the 70s). We had our carpeting removed and felix and his guys refinished those floors. After a few months of heavy traffic on a tile floor in the middle of our house (heavy traffic due to renovations), I had managed to loosen a few of the tiles. One tile was pretty loose, and I looked under it out of curiosity - and under those tiles was more hardwood!! The prior owners of our house had put down tile over probably 250 sq ft of wood which ran into other rooms which had already been refinished. The problem with tile over harwood is that after taking up the tile, there was a coat of mortar (like cement) all over the wood. It doesn't just 'chip up' or anything. It doesn't come off easily. I called up felix and he came out and took a look. He quoted me much less than I had expected - 600$ to sand off the mortar and refinish the flooring. The job took from about 8am - 3pm. Not bad. The floors turned out great, which was a big relief - especially since the flooring that had tile & mortar on it joined two rooms which had already been refinished by felix and his guys. Not only that, but the flooring is also the main entrance to the house, so it would have been pretty visible if things didn't turn out well. When he was there, he noticed something that wasn't considered before. The stair nose (hardwood transition piece between hardwood and stairs) was badly worn out. He got that replaced for 80$ on top of the 600 already quoted. Well worth it all. Another job well done! I'd highly recommend felix, armondo, and his guys to anyone.
