Description of Work: We had just purchased our 1968 rancher and discovered that the laminate flooring in the living room, dining area, and hall, covered oak hardwood floors. We had not yet moved in, so we removed the laminate, realized the oak flooring needed to be refinished. We called Unique, and they came and gave us an estimate for those floors, plus three bedrooms that also need to be refinished. They arrived at the promised time, took three days to sand and finish the floors. They use a vacuum system that keeps most of the sanding dust out of the house. We were very pleased with the work and would definitely hire them again.

Description of Work: Refinished small entrance hallway wood floor. Did a very good job with matching the color for exiting woodwork (stairs).

Description of Work: Unique Refinishing did my Hardwood floors in my Living room, dinning room, Master bedroom, and stairway. The workers was very professional and they kept me in the loop before anything was done. They really care about my house and tried their best to protect it by laying down plastic where necessary block off any open area that was expose to the dusk. Description of Work: Sanded hardwood floors and refinished. No dust equipment so house was not dusty AT ALL. Moved furniture to clear room and returned it (that may have carried extra charge).

Description of Work: I contacted Unique Refinishing based on the excellent reviews on Angie's List. We are buying a home and requested an estimate for installing wood flooring throughout the home. Felix, was available and happy to meet with us at our convenience. He provided an estimate almost immediately. Very courteous and friendly!! Thanks again, and we'll be in touch.

Description of Work: Felix and his crew ripped up old carpet and tile throughout first floor of home and installed and finished approximately 1700 sq. ft. new 3 1/4" select white oak wood. The floors look great! We were away during most of the work, but Felix kept me apprised of progress, even sending pictures from time to time. He was very accessible, promptly answering texts and calls and providing helpful advice. He applied several samples of stain and poly on the floor so that I could compare them and choose what looked best in the space. The workers I met were polite and seemed capable; Felix made sure the work was done to his high standards. I am very happy with the result, and if/when we put hardwoods on our upper floor, I will definitely call Felix and Unique Refinishing.

Description of Work: Felx responded to my inquiry immediately, arrived to give me an estimate promptly, and his estimate came in far below the next lowest estimate of six I received. He bent over backwards to schedule my job as soon as possible and he and his staff worked professionally and diligently for four straight days, beginning at 7 a.m. each day, to complete my project. The dust-free machinery they use is state-of-the art, and a far cry from the incredibly dusty floor refinishing I've had done in the past. He applied a number of samples so I could select exactly the right color, and ensured I was pleased at every step of the process. During the final walk-thru, he asked his people to tweak a couple of pieces of shoe moulding that weren't quite perfect, and they cheerfully did so. All in all, this was the most pleasant and satisfying experience I've had with any contractor. You won't go wrong hiring Unique Refinishing!

Description of Work: Sanded, stained and refinished my Parkay wood floors. the typical machines dont work with parkay floors so at no addittional cost to me, Felix and his crew bought hand sanders and got on hand and knee for 3 day and did a wonderful job
