Mr. Rubin is a professional, competent and friendly appliance repair professional. This is the second time I have had to call on him for assistance with an oven repair. On the first, an electric oven, he searched for the cheapest repair first and then moved on to the next level before he finally had to move to the more expensive repair. He talked me through each step and showed me why the cheaper repairs were not the cause of my non-working oven. On the second call, I had pretty much confirmed that the oven igniter was going to be the problem and it was. Because Mr. Rubin asks for information on your problem via an email prior to a visit to your home, he came prepared with the part needed and the job was completed in a relatively short time. I will definitely call on Mr. Rubin for the next time one of my appliances has a problem.

I called Mr. Gil and left a message. He called back right away. After telling him what was happening, he gave me a temporary fix so that my food wouldn't go bad overnight. He came out the next day and fixed my fridge. Got there at the time he promised.

Gil texted me the morning of his visit to confirm our time and he arrived on time. He installed the component and made sure the previous company did not do any further damage. He explained how all the components of my refrigerator worked and I watched him install the components. Our refrigerator died on a Sunday. Monday morning we called Gilbert and he came out the same afternoon. He quickly diagnosed the problem was a bad blower fan motor. I appreciated that demonstrated the motor had failed and that the new one was operational prior to installing. I couldn't be happier with the service he provided..

Gilbert asked to call me back after he looks up my washer. He did within 5 minutes and suggested I try a small load to see if it was still leaking. He thought I probably overloaded my machine. He was right!! He saved me time and money. Thank You Gilbert for being an honest and upfront kind of guy. He could have told me he needed to come out and look at it, but he didn't. Great guy! I called Mr. Gilbert and he agreed to come out the same day. Based on my description of the problem, he seemed to know exactly what was wrong with it. He showed up as scheduled and got to work immediately. He took the dryer apart and showed me what the issues were (in plain english). Once we agreed on the repair, he fixed it. Didn't take very long at all. He turned it on to show me it was working and I didn't even realize it was on because it was so quiet. I had gotten used to the noise the dryer was making when I turned it on. So, it was nice that it was huming along so nicely after the repair. Very pleased with the outcome.

Work was done very quickly (within 20 minutes). Provider even came out on a Saturday morning and arrived early!

Gil was very responsive to my request and arrived on-the-dot at the time he said he'd arrive. Had to run out to Home Depot to get a part, but completed the job in a reasonable amount of time. No idea if his prices are competitive (I did not shop around much), but he does apply his service charge towards the job. So happy to have my dryer working again! Hanging up wet clothes in the basement is no fun!

Repairman knew exactly what was wrong with the washer when i described problem over the phone. He immediately found the part and was able to install the same day. Great immediate response and service. Would highly recommend.

Gilbert was fantastic! He showed up within 30 mins after I initially called him. He was very professional and explained everything in easy to understand terms. No technical mombo jumbo that the customer can never understand. I did not get the sense that he was attempting to rip me off or make the problem seem bigger than it was AT ALL!!! He went out of his way to locate the part and kept me abreast throughout the process. He had a little difficulty locating the part but once it was in hand, he returned right away to complete the job. Mr. Rubin gave me excellent service when repairing 2 appliances in 2010, so when I had a problem with my clothes dryer yesterday I gave him a call. When I described the problem he said that he was pretty sure that he could save me the service fee entailed in coming to the house. He asked for the model number, said he would call back in 5 minutes, and then called in 3. He guided me through a couple of simple steps while he remained on the line. Bingo - problem solved. Gratis. Gilbert responded quickly to my initial email message (but it would have been more efficient to just call him--not due to anything on his end). He informed me that there could be several reasons there was no ice. We made an appointment for the next day. He kept in contact with me to let me know when he would arrive and arrived punctually. He described several scenarios regarding the problem. (It was the ice maker itself). Once he found the problem he described what he was doing and replaced it quickly. He was very friendly, personal and professional. I received a $20 discount due to being a member of Angie's List. The whole experience was very pleasant and efficient, and I will use Crest Appliance Repair in the future.

Perfect. I Called, scheduled appointment, and technician arrived within the hour. Diagnosed problem, had the part readily available and fixed within the hour. I now have plenty of ice. Provider called the next day to follow up. Excellent customer service.

My washing machine stopped working mid cycle and would not go through the rinse and spin phase. I called Crest Appliance last night and I got a return call at 7:30 in the morning. I explained my problem and Gilbert worked with me to schedule a time that we could meet at the house. He arrived on time and, from our phone conversation, diagnosed the problem as a defective safety switch. Having anticipated the problem, he had brought the part with him and was able to repair the washer quickly. All went well and I would use them again.

The experience was great and I would call him again if I have any problems.

My dryer stopped heating yesterday. I called Mr Rubin the following day at 12pm which was a Saturday. He was at my place at 1pm, diagnosed the problem, which was that the heating element had blown. He had a new replacement heating element on his truck. The work was completed by 1:30pm and cost $156.88 (after the $20 Angie's List discount). This was one of the fastest and most reasonably priced service calls I can remember, especially considering it was a Saturday. Would definitely recommend his services.

Mr. Rubin is one of the nicest men I have had come to my home to do any sort of repair work. I called him early this morning and explained the problems I was having with my range and he told me he could come out today, before noon. He was here well before noon and reattached the switch to the left front eye and checked out all the remaining eyes. The right front had concerned me that it might possibly be working improperly, not regulating the temperature. He checked all coils and had them all in working order quickly. He also replaced an oven light that had not worked for several years. He educated me on several areas of my Whirlpool range and I really appreciated his concern. All in all, I can not say enough positive things about his service and would recommend him to anyone!.

What a pleasure to find a HONEST, EFFICIENT, AND PERSONABLE repair man. Not only did he try to help me to fix the problem without him, but when he came he took the time to show me exactly what was wrong and how he was going to fix it. The ice maker works great, and he also took the time to call me to check that everything was working. He was a pleasure to have in my home.

I emailed Crest Appliance yesterday and immediately had a response. Gilbert asked for the model number of my range and arrived with the correct part today. I have dealt with other repair people and they don't ask many questions beforehand and then you wind up paying for the initial visit and then they come back with the part. I think that his attention to the customer before he even comes to your house is one of the reasons he is so successful and has such good reviews. He arrived promptly, was very personable and completed the job in a short amount of time. I will defintely tell my friends about him and will use his service again.

If all Mondays could be as rewarding as the one I had, I would be delighted. I went on Angie's List to determine potential companies to consider calling for getting my dishwasher fixed. Since water was leaking when I ran the dishwasher, I felt that the problem might be the rubber gasket. My dishwasher is old, a 1995 Maytag. I was afraid that it would cost too much to fix and I might have to purchase a new one. I emailed and then decided to call Crest Appliance Repair and spoke with Gilbert Rufus. He had already reviewed my email and asked if I was the one who had emailed him. Talk about being on top of his emails, he was great. He started sharing with me that I might be able to replace the gasket myself, if the problem was the gasket. He asked where I lived and fortuitously he had just completed another job and was close by. He indicated that he was willing to come by and let me know what my problem was. He arrived within 15 minutes, was courteous and friendly. He quickly determined that the problem was not the gasket and explained how he knew it wasn't the gasket but the blade that turnsand disperses water. The blade was clogged. He cleaned one blade and replaced the other. How many repairmen would have the exact blade needed for a 1995 Maytag diswasher? Gilbert was genuine, honest and someone to trust. He could have changed the blade and replaced the gasket and I would not have known any better. I will not forget Gillbert and will call him again for other projects. He was superb, and I will recommend him to all of my friends. His professionalism and honesty will not be forgotten.
