The service was quick, prompt and professional. He took the time to explain the problem and the solution to me. He was personable and I will use them in the future.

I just wish all repairmen were as competent as Mr. Rubin! He came (on time), he saw, he conquered. He also explained in layman's language exactly what the problem was. Good job Gilbert!!

Had a problem with the refrigerator - it was making a loud sound every ~15 seconds. Made an email request for a repairman to come to the house to fix the problem. A representative called from Crest to get more details. He asked a series of questions. Based upon our responses he honed in on the automatic ice maker. There we noticed an ice cube that had gotten stuck and was keeping the ice maker from cycling. Moved it free and the noise stopped! By the way this was a Sunday!!! Crest will be fixing our next problem when it occurs.

Couldn't have gone better Gilbert answered my call in late afternoon and we made an appt. for first thing next morning. He arrived on time,diagnosed the problem as a broken ice maker and quickly and efficiently installed a replacement. I I have used this service several times and have always found them exemplary.

I called Gilbert around 4 p.m. on Friday to see if he could work on my 20 plus year old refrigerator. The temperature wouldn't remain steady. We have size constraints where the refrigerator is located. Buying a new one is difficult, if not impossible, so getting it fixed was important. Gilbert diagnosed the problem after asking a few questions. He said the parts were available and he could come out the next morning to fix it. He arrived on time and spent an hour replacing the parts. This was above and beyond what I expected when I called.

We placed a request for an appointment via Angie's List at 8:30 in the morning, and Gilbert responded to the email almost immediately and called us about 10 minutes later. He scheduled an appointment for 12 noon, and actually arrived an hour early. He also had all of the necessary tools with him, to perform diagnostics and to treat the cooling and frosting problems on our refrigerator. He was very personable, and entertained us with several stories while he worked. He had no trouble taking care of our 22-year old side-by-side refrigerator, and we would recommend him to anyone needing appliance repairs.

Crest responded immediately and fixed the problem (which was really caused by user). Service was timely and professional! Would recommend and use in the future.

I called Crest at about 3:00pm when I came home to a small puddle of water in front of my freezer. Although it was already late in the day, Mr. Rubin agreed to come this afternoon to look at the refrigerator/freezer. He arrived on time, and quickly diagnosed the problem and began testing to see if it could be fixed. He was very clear about what he was doing, what my options might be, and what expense I could expect. He replaced the relay, which worked to get the compressor going again, and saved me the expense of a new unit. He stayed to be sure that the freezer was working correctly. He was very efficient, professional and pleasant. I will definitely call Crest if I need other appliance repairs, and I highly recommend the company to others!

Excellent service!! Called me right back at 8 p.m. on a Saturday and gave me advice on my broken washer. Even looked up the serial and model numbers over the phone to help diagnose the issue- even though we are out of the service area. So impressed!

I called and left a message regarding my repair request. Mr. Rubin called me back within half an hour. He asked when I would like a service call. I named a date and he gave me a half-hour window. He called when he was on his way and showed up on time. He was surprised that I had already emptied the freezer; he would have been happy to do so himself. (Though my emptying the freezer gave me a chance to clean it.) Mr. Rubin disassembled the freezer, explaining the mechanics as he went along. There was a lot of ice under the plastic freezer liner as well as ice blocking the drain hole. Once all of the ice had been removed and the ice blockage had been thawed (with a nifty steam heater that prevented too much water from pooling in the pans at the bottom of the fridge), Mr. Rubin offered to install a drain hole heater that would prevent ice from forming at the drain hole again. I accepted the recommendation. Mr. Rubin had the part with him. He installed the heater, mopped up any remaining water, reassembled the freezer, and even vacuumed under the fridge. He offered to put the food back in the freezer, but I chose to take advantage of the opportunity to organize the contents. The total for all work and the heater came to $196.88. Mr. Rubin honored the $20 Angie's List discount, for a bill of $176.88. Mr. Rubin was prompt, friendly, knowledgeable and thorough. I highly recommend Crest Appliance Repair.

Gilbert was very accommodating. I received a response to my initial email inquiry within an hour. He was able to schedule the service call for the next morning. We spoke on the phone and agreed on a time (not a time window!). He was prompt-even a couple of minutes early. Gilbert worked quickly to diagnose the problem with my refrigerator, explaining what he was doing along the way. He finished the job and even vacuumed under the fridge (an area unrelated to the repair). A few hours after the service call he called to find out if the fridge was still working properly. I couldn't be more pleased with the service from Crest. I will definitely use them next time.

On Sunday, I noticed a puddle of water near my refrigerator. Upon opening door I saw that the entire contents of the freezer had all defrosted and that the refrigerator side was not keeping the food cold. I immediately called Crest Appliance Repair and left a message. My call was promptly returned even though it was a weekend. Mr. Rubin said he would be available the next morning to check it out. He arrived on time, reviewed the situation and immediately replaced the broken part. He stayed on site to ensure replaced part was working. This is the third time I have used this company and have not been disappointed. Fast, Courteus, and Professional service. Would highly recommend.

I called on Saturday morning and Crest Appliance came out on Saturday afternoon. He fixed my washing machine in 40 minutes and he gave me a $20 coupon for his service. I was thrilled that he was so prompt and he obviously is an expert repairmen because he knew exactly what to do. He explained everything to me as he was doing it and he was totally accurate. I am ecstatic that my washing machine (several years old) could be fixed at such a reasonable price! Saturday was my lucky day, thanks to Angies List and Crest Appliance Repair!

Gilbert came after we called him saying our ice cube maker wasn't working. He diagnosed the problem almost immediately. The valve was bleeding little droplets of water that were freezing in the tube before making it to the ice cube tray. The bleeding continued until the tube to the tray completely froze, blocking any additional water. It was a bottom freezer (the kind he says he hates to work on . . . but he did anyway). After many convoluted contortions to get himself into position, he was able to get the old valve out and the new valve installed. The ice cube tray is humming along nicely now. Many years ago, he had also worked on our dryer and successfully diagnosed and fixed that problem as well. We cannot recommend this service enough. If you ever need honest, competent, timely repairs - call Crest Appliances.

Dryer died in the morning. Looked on Angie's List and called Crest Repair. Serviceman arrived about 2 pm and after searching the obvious - blown fuse, bad timer etc - he discovered the rotary control knob was cracked, so he replaced it. We are delighted the fix was so simple and I think the price was fair considering he had to drive here from Pikesville.

This is my second use of this provider. He arrived punctually and diagnosed my dryer problem within minutes. He was quite informative, showed me the malfunctioned part, explained what he was doing, and replaced the part. He also theorized about possible reasons for the part to have failed (they had to do with the heavy snows and our low-exiting vent system), and gave me tips about possibly preventing failures in the future. He also discounted my repair, since he'd been out for a similar problem in recent weeks, and despite the fact that the problem was not his responsibility. Very generous! I would use this provider again in a heartbeat!

Outstanding. Immediate response over the phone, follow-up to confirm appointment and arrived right on time to get us back in operation. This was a ten year-old GR Profile unit, and access to the drain line and motor fan was not an easy event -- Gilbert meticulously worked through the removal of eight pieces to allow the repair, and had everything back together in record time. Personable and explained everything that he was accomplishing along the way. This is an example of what you're looking to find with a repair service -- responsive, on-time, and won't over-diagnose and sell you a new motor for an old unit. I would definitely recommend Crest to anyone in need of a large appliance repair.

I called Crest Appliance Repair on Thursday 2/19/15 at 12 pm. I spoke to Mr Rubin who told be that he would come out to my house in 1 1/2 hours. He was there on time and went right to work. He took the time to fix my washing machine and then check to make sure the issue was resolved. He is an excellent appliance diagnostician, he is very professional, and he is a nice person. I asked him about my dishwasher which was not working well. He asked me to describe the issue. I told him that it had stopped working after I place a new garbage disposal unit in. He told me to knock out the drain plug in the unit and that should fix the issue.I followed his advice and my dishwasher is back in business. He charged me nothing for the advice. Thank You Mr Rubin!!! I will recommend you to all of my neighbors.

Called on 2/17/2015 and he was able to come out the next morning. Actually arrived 15 minutes early which was a bonus. Came in and immediately knew what the problem was. Not only did he fix the dryer but he also cleaned it all out as much as possible. He then put it all back together and ran it to check that the problem was solved. It was solved, but we could now hear a bunch of change rattling around in there. He then quickly took it all apart, found the change in the drum and put it all back. This last fix was done after he told me the price and he didn't add anything to the bill for digging out the annoying change! Gilbert was professional, took care in my home and seemed very trustworthy. Overall, I would use Crest again, and recommend him to my friends and neighbors. When you call have you model number ready so he can make sure he has everything he needs to service you in a timely manner.

Arrived the punctually the next day. Was very personable and knowledgeable. I have absolutely nothing negative to say and would definitely use Crest again. I can't recall the exact cost of the repair but it was fair and he even explained the price and options with me in detail.

The provider was accommodating with his time when we explained the urgency of the work: Our fridge had stopped working and we couldn't hear it come on and off anymore. Our unit is 13 years old and we were preparing for the worst. Mr. Rubin gave us a call first thing in the morning after we contacted him and set a time for the visit. He asked questions on the phone and we knew then that he was very professional and knowledgeable. He was very thorough in his explanation over the phone. We set a time for repair. Provider arrived on time and was cordial. He started to work right away while explaining to us exactly what he was doing and the best and worst-case scenarios. He applied several tests to the compressor and gave us his diagnostic and the solution. He was very detailed about the charge for the service before and after he did the work. We are very pleased with Crest Appliance Repair and will definitely use the service again.

Mr. Gilbert was very professional and efficient. He diagnosed the problem with my dryer and was able to fix it immediately. I was very pleased with the quick results and would definitely contact him again for any appliance repair.

Would not call this person back as it does not seem they were interested in earning any type of business.
