Crest Appliance Repair

Gilbert came highly recommended from some friends so we turned to him first when we had a problem. I left a voicemail for Gilbert at 9 PM Saturday night and got a text back at 10:30 that night. I texted back 7:30 Sunday morning and he called me within minutes. Gilbert let me know that he was unfortunately not the right person to repair our refrigerator as it was a brand he was not familiar with but talked me through some quick checks (compressor running, etc.) over the phone. He offered some recommendations on how we proceed and was extremely helpful -- all at no charge! We'll definitely reach out to Gilbert the next time we need service.

The Crest technician was right on time. He diagnosed the problem quickly, unclogged a drain, made other minor repairs and was done within 20 minutes. Would definitely call them again.

I called Crest Appliance Repair at about 9:30AM and Gilbert Rubin arrived before 1:00PM. He called twice to update me on his estimated arrival time. He told me the cost of the service call (i.e. cost to come out and diagnose the problem). and he clearly stated that amount would apply towards the cost of the repair if I chose to have him fix the problem. Gilbert was extremely professional and courteous. He took the time to help me carefully unload all the food from the freezer into coolers so that he could access the mechanical components that reside behind the back wall of the freezer. He diagnosed the problem in minutes, and had it repaired very quickly. It took less than 1.5 hours from start to finish including unloading and reload the freezer. Gilbert happily offered to help reload everything as well. It was a Friday morning when I called, so I would have lost all the food in both the freezer and the refrigerator if Gilbert had not been able to respond with a same-day visit. I would definitely recommend Crest Appliance Repair to anyone seeking prompt, professional, courteous and well-priced service for an appliance. Thanks Crest!

Would definitely use again. Came over in 1.5 hours and fixed dryer quickly. Very professional man, who was also kind to my kids.

I think they had to do it twice. It was not that they did anything wrong. I am just glad to get it done right. I would say the price was very good. The workers I came in contact with were pretty friendly.

I called asking for help testing a drain pump. The gentlemen explained to me how to test it myself saving me the expense and travel time of going anywhere. He was an awesome resource for which I am extremely grateful for his time.

Arrived about 2 hours after I called. Took our dryer apart and he had exactly the right part (a drum drive for air). Very knowledgeable and friendly. Completed the job in an hour or so. Great experience.

Crest Appliance Repair was great! I would use him again in a second. I called Gil on a Saturday at 10:30am. I answered a couple questions over the phone and Gil was at my house on time as he promised at 1230pm. He explained the problem, told me how he could fix it and he was done and gone in no time. He probably would of been done even sooner if I didn't ask so many questions. Gil is knowledgable, experienced and friendly. He worked neatly, efficiently and knows what he's doing when it comes to appliance repair. I thought his prices were very fair and would recommend him and his company anytime for appliance repair.

I initially set up a time for Monday 4-18-16 for repair on a Kitchen Aide refrigerator. I received a call within 1 1/2 hours of posting the request for service. Keep in mind this was a Saturday night, on a weekend, at 8:00 pm. He asked questions about the issues with the refrigerator. The questions were not basic, they went into detail. He asked about the temperature on both sides, refrigerator and freezer. He asked if I could fear the motor and compressor running, He asked if it I could feel cold air on either side, as well as others. After a conversation, that lasted approximately 1/2 hour, he told me that he would call me in the morning. The morning meaning Sunday morning. On Sunday Morning, at 9:40 he called back and we had another 20 minute phone conversation about my issue. When he felt that he could not assist me to the best of his abilities, in the time frame he was looking at, being Sunday, he gave me the name and number of someone else that he thought could provide Sunday service. This was not to pass the buck, he was only attempting to help. When it comes to customer service, I would give him a OUTSTANDING for the service he provided. He went out of his way, on a weekend, for me, the customer, with a courteous and pleasant attitude and the desire to help. I would call him again in the future and recommend recommend him to anyone who asked.

The repairman came the next day exactly as scheduled - no four hour window, which I much appreciate! He was nice, thorough, and did s great job! I highly recommend and will use Crest again if needed.

Went great. Had used Crest before so called them this morning. Said would be here between 12:30 and 1:30. Actually showed up at 1:00. Immediately diagnosed problem with washer and repaired within 15 minutes.

The repairman was prompt and cheerful. He replaced the washer lid switch quickly and gave me valuable advice on the washer drain pan and floor drain.

I spoke with Gil on a Saturday afternoon to arrange an appointment to repair my clothes washer. Rather than come out the following Monday (which would have been fine with me), he found time in his schedule to come the next day (Sunday) instead. He showed up at the appointment time; and 15 minutes later, after confirming the lid switch was at fault and then replacing it, he tested the washer and confirmed it was working fine. Excellent service all around!

I enrolled on Angies List on Friday, February 26th looking for a referral to get our malfunctioning gas dryer repaired. I was constrained by the fact that I had just received my work schedule for the following week and I was working six days straight. I looked for someone in the area of Reisterstown so I could possible get service on Saturday (the next day). I called & spoke directly with Mr. Rubin about my problem. I was happily surprised when he agreed to see me at 10 AM on Saturday. Mr. Rubin arrived exactly at 10 AM was very profesionally attired and immediately went to work. He explained what he thought was the problem (it was) and what he thought was not the problem (it was not). He had the part with him, installed the part, tested the dryer and was gone in less than an hour! He even went to the back of my home to make sure the dryer vent was working properly! Repair accomplished in one trip!! Great service! Fair price! WOW!!!!

When we moved the refrigerator from the wall, we found some flooring issues that needed to be handled in order for the repair to be completed and move the fridge back into place. Gil went "above and beyond" the call of duty, putting in extra time to assist with all this- we finished the job with the help of a neighbor with some additional flooring pieces. The ice maker is working great! Gil was professional and very helpful!

Gilbert was on time, diagnosed and repaired the problem within 30 minutes. Service was done in a courteous and professional manner. Even my dogs liked him:-) I received a $20 discount for being an Angie'a list member.

This is an update to my previous repair of replacement of the motherboard on my GE Monogram a few days ago. The repair did not correct the problem so Mr. Rubin came back with the other item to repair that he felt was the issue. He replaced the motherboard with my original one. In addition he took the other part off my refrigerator that he felt was the problem but it didn't behave like it was the problem. It was definitely broken when he removed it and so the part he had brought with him fit perfectly. This was at no charge since I had paid for the motherboard and he took my old one and put it back on so I just paid for the new part-baffle. He didnt charge me even for a service fee to return-rare in this day and age to find a reliable, compassionate, business that serves up customer service like this. I would use him again. He also checked up often to make sure the refrigerator was functioning properly. How often do you get that? I am certainly pleased.

Gilbert was excellent. He quickly assessed the problem in the washing machine, got the parts he needed from his truck and fixed it is less than 30 minutes. For the dishwasher, he again was able to determine the problem quickly and resolved it just as fast. He tested both machines thoroughly to make sure his repairs fixed the problems. Great service!.

Prior to arrival, Crest researched our model and acquired a replacement motor. Upon arrival, he found our unit looks nothing like the Kitchenaid website description - there is no access panel on the bottom. Crest feared damaging the unit and suggested we contact a Kitchenaid repair center. Crest did not charge for the service call! We tried to pay him for the time to research, get the motor, and come to the house but he would not accept it. We very much appreciated his willingness to cause no harm!

This went very, very, very well. Easy scheduling, punctual, professional and pleasant. Educational as well, I learned a lot about how these appliances function. Mr. Rubin told me exactly what was wrong with dryer before he even took off front and he was absolutely correct. The belt was not only damaged but actually lying in the bottom of the dryer frame. Showed me damaged parts, explained what had happened, and why they needed to be replaced. Dryer now runs great and he gave me a one year warranty on the parts. He put some real creative energy into trying to repair the stove burner, but no go. Again explaining the whats and whys. As this was a minor annoyance only and just something I was having checked since I needed to get someone in to deal with the broken dryer, I did not inquire about going further with repair. He also credited me with a $20 Angie's List coupon without my asking.
