I called Raker Appliance to service a washing machine which miraculously survived a flooded basement. I was luck to catch the engineer in my area that day. He was very courteous on the phone and reassured me that the call out fee of $80 would go to any repairs if needed. He was at my house within an hour. He showed great competence and had the washing machine front removed within a few minutes. He answered all my questions and provided some very valuable information to help me keep my washing machine running longer. He also worked on a dryer as he waited for the washing machine to run through a quick cycle. Again shown great expertise in disassembling the dryer and diagnosing the issue. With an Angie's List coupon I was only charged $65. I was very impressed by his professionalism and competence and would definitely recommend Raker Appliance.

Called and they came out the ?same day? to fix the leak I had in one of the ice maker hoses on the back of my LG refrigerator. This is the 2 nd time I have had them to my house, the other time they fixed a bad pump in my washing machine. They always show up when they say and are very professional and courteous. I have recommended them to friends. They gave me a magnet to put on my fridge the 1 st time they came and there is a $10 off your next service coupon on the magnet. They had no problem adjusting the price. I will definitely be using them in the future.

He was great! Quick, on time, professional and friendly! He pinpointed the problem by thoroughly looking around to find the cause, even though the noise stopped. He was so thorough and helpful, I can't wait for another appliance to break! :]

Our office refrigerator was not cold at all and it was only 6 months old. We reached out to Raker after we found out that our office refrigerator was not covered under a warranty. I left a voicemail and had a call back fairly quickly. They were able to come by that same afternoon. I received a text that afternoon when he was about 10 minutes away. He came in and assessed the damage, it was discovered that there were parts needed that he didnt have with him. He helped to open the water line from the freezer to at least make due until he was able to come back with the parts. This was Tuesday, he came back on Thursday and fixed the problems quickly. We have had no problems since and are very happy with the work and prompt response of Raker.

I've used them before for other things. They are also on Angie's List and they have a coupon. They were very good.

The glass on our stovetop cracked, Mr. Raker responded quickly to my call and I texted him on a Saturday morning to give more details. His estimate was $200 less than the other estimate I got, and he ended up taking $40 off because the job took less time than he expected. He was also flexible with scheduling and came out at a time that was convenient for us. I highly recommend Raker Appliance!

Checked out everything, both freezer & refrigerator

I called on a Monday, the founder's son answered, and said he would contact the serviceman who worked in my area. He came the next day. He found the problem, which was a coffee bean that had jammed the impellor blade on the drain pump. He also explained how to further disassemble the dishwasher drain so I can clean it out myself, which he recommended I do about once a year. The cost was $135.00, $120.00 with a $15.00 Angie's List coupon. I chose Raker Appliance because they were very highly rated by Angie's List, and they were close to us. They met the mark in every way, and we definitely will call them the next time we need appliance service.

I showed up to work with my client in her home office but when I arrived she had a leak with both her dishwasher and refrigerator. I suggested that we hop on Angies List and see if we could find someone to come out. Our call was returned within 10 minutes and someone was at my client's house withing 30 minutes. The refrigerator was fixed within the hour and a part needed to be ordered for the dishwasher, so that was repaired on a subsequent visit. I would highly recommend this company. They were amazingly responsive! They quickly assessed the problems and worked quickly to solve them. And, they made me look great to my client. My company, No More Piles, provides organizing solutions to our clients, but sometimes we are in the business of just 'solving problems". This is a perfect example of how business owners can use Angie's List to help our clients.

They fixed my appliances quickly, and were very affordable! Both times I've used them, they came the same day I called, and were done the same day. Reid is very knowledgeable, and diagnosed and fixed the problems quickly. He explained all of my options, and was very professional and courteous. An A+++ in service!

They followed up by calling me after the job was finished. He knew just what he was doing. They were very good and I would recommend them. They were honest and personable.

I called on Thursday morning and I got a phone call back within a few hours. Turns out he was going to be in my area later that day and he was able to squeeze me in the same day!! When he arrived he was professional and knowledgeable about the appliance. He thought it could be one of two things (one was provide an adjustment to the system and the second was replace the whole unit). He told us that replacing the whole unit would be expensive and that if we wanted he would adjust the ice maker and we could wait an see if that worked. We agreed to take the conservative approach and that he would check in to see if that solved the problem. Luckily for us the ice maker is working great and he even texted us to follow up just like he said he would. Great family owed business that I would recommend and use again in an instant!! Before he left he even gave us website suggestions to look at to order parts in the future. I cant say enough good things about this company. I had been putting this repair off for so long because I thought it would going to be something expensive/difficult and all I can say is that I wish I would have called them years ago!!

Reid ordered the part for my dishwasher and installed it. He discovered my dishwasher was not hooked up correctly. John came out a few days later and hooked it up correctly. My dishwasher runs great now. They did an excellent job!

it was fine work. I bought the coupon from Angie's list and it was applied right away. I had to call a couple of times to sort it out. Not sure if it has resolved since it is handled my my realtor.

I have used them twice, once for a problem with the washer, one for a broken ice maker in the fridge. They returned calls promptly, for the fridge came the same day I called, did very good work, and were fairly priced. A fair amount cheaper than Lander, but they also seem to be a smaller operation.

I called to request service on my broken refrigerator on Thursday morning. The earliest they could get to me was Monday. I guess they must be good to have that much of a backlog but it didn't suit my needs.

I contacted Raker appliances one day when my refrigerator temperature reached 50 degrees. He was very helpful over the phone and gave me a few things to check. He contacted me the next day to see if the refrgerator had cooled back down. On being informed that it was still too warm he asked me some general questions over the phone and did a great job trouble shooting over the phone. When he arrived he was fairly sure what the problem was and replaced the broken piece right away.

It went very well. Steve made three trips. Initial visit to trouble shoot. Second with needed part. Third with alternate parts. Steve was very personable and obviously knew his business. He called several times to let us know when he would arrive. .

As a whole, the experience was positive. The source of the water leaking from the bottom of our dishwasher was quite difficult to identify; in fact, it took four visits from either the technician or Harry Raker himself (and once, both of them!) before the problem was discovered and one more visit to make the final repair. In the process, they replaced the dishwasher's spray arm and a couple of other parts that weren't contributing to the problem but Raker Appliance didn't charge us for any of those parts. In the end, we paid only for the seal around the door and the time involved. The technician (Steve) and Harry Raker were extremely pleasant to us and we felt very comfortable having them in our home. Both were also very knowledgeable and explained what they were thinking and doing every step of the way. Also, both of them were determined to locate the source of the leak and to repair it as soon as they possibly could. They were very accommodating regarding the scheduling of their visits. We would definitely call Raker Appliance in the future.

We called in the morning, left a message, and received a return call within the hour. Reid came that afternoon and had the dryer running in a few minutes. He was efficient and cheerful. We would recommend this company to everyone. They were quickly responsive, very fair in price, and delightful to have do the repair.
