Great company! Reid worked hard to get the repair to the dryer done quickly even with the needed parts that were difficult to source from the supplier. We are very pleased with Reid's handling and the outcome of a difficult repair. I would highly recommend this company.

Reid Raker is a breath of fresh air, totally honest and professional. Don't be fooled by calling the first number on your computer search. These routing services use other company names and send people that are hours away with very little chance of getting them back if something goes wrong. My daughter experienced this with a $700 dishwasher repair that only lasted a week and they never returned to fix the continuing problem. I called Raker Appliance and Reid came over the next morning. He was able to diagnose the problem, but instead of him making money on a repair he advised me not to waste my money on a 5-year-old GE dishwasher. He recommended that I purchase a Bosh dishwasher. Wow, honesty and integrity. I will use Raker Appliance for any of my future appliance needs.

repair went ok - tech had part in van . plastic piece from either old icemaker or new one put in was left in ice tray which had ice in it wife put handfull of ice in glass of coke realized plastic piece was in with ice after drinking half the coke lucky for raker she doesn't chew ice or this would be beyond a bad review sent them an email about this and offered to send them a picture to prove it was from icemaker unit but they never bothered to respond

We had a power surge which fried our GE dishwasher. Mr. Raker was friendly, professional and very helpful. He was responsive, and arrived on time. He found the problem and took the time to show us the parts needed and how the dishwasher works. We appreciated his candor that it would make more sense to replace the unit rather than repair it, although he was willing to order the parts and do the repair work. Ultimately, we will follow his recommendation to replace the dishwasher given its age. I would highly recommend Raker Appliance and will definitely hire them again.

Reid Raker is amazing! He is knowledgeable, efficient, thorough, skilled, and a nice person! He also is happy to recommend an honest opinion about whether or not to repair or replace an appliance. I have used Raker 3 times over the past five years. They are always my first call when a problem arises.

We were so grateful. He scheduled us within a day, and even returned the next day with the necessary part. He fixed it the first time, and we've had no trouble since. Price was reasonable, and our inconvenience was minimized.

I called to schedule service and Steve replied promptly. He was attentive and geniune and honest. A part was ordered and as soon as it was delivered he called to put it in. I highly recommend this company!

I was charged a total of $480.00 including the cost of the drain pump. On the internet the pumps go for about $380 to $400, so I figure they charged me $80 to $90 for the service. While he was here he put 2 new stainless steel water lines on our washing machine that I had been meaning to install. I think the entire process when very well and the cost of the service was very fair. I would definitely use Raker again if I had an issue with a small appliance.

We've worked with both Reid and Steve from Raker Appliance and I couldn't have higher praise for their service. Both are goal oriented, focusing on the *problem* to be solved and not how long it might take, etc. In both situations, repeat visits were required (by no fault of their own) but there was never a hint of escalating the cost. But more importantly: they convey true expertise - and honesty - that can only come from sincere and dedicated professionals. Raker cares about its work, cares about the solution, and cares about the customer's positive experience. Raker will always be our go-to experts for every appliance repair.

The microwave was very wobbly and shutting the door would cause the fan to come on. Reid did the remounting to secure the microwave, a task which went far beyond the appliance realm and into just pure kindness on his part. We have used Raker Appliance for other minor appliance issues. Raker Appliance is excellent. Reid has come out the very next day to help us and is extremely professional, knows what he is doing and gets it done quickly and efficiently.

Amazing response. John from Raker was here the day after I called. He was able to diagnose both problems immediately. Repaired the freezer on th spot. Had to order a part for the cook-top burner. Was back here today and finished the job. First rate service and a job well done!

Very responsive. Came out within the hour to check out why our washing machine had stopped. Very thorough. Spent about an hour going over the machine. Took various parts off to check for blockages. Let us know that the costs to fix would be greater then a new machine. Appreciated the honesty.Absolutely would call again.

Great price, great service, great results

For several months I had several minor issues with three kitchen appliances. When the oven was no longer functional, I finally called a professional. Turned out the oven was working, but had been set to a Timed Cook feature (kids!). One of the timer/clock set arrows was also not working. To correct that problem would require an extensive (+$400) board; he gave me the option of replacing it or using a workaround method. He adjusted the oven door (it didn't close tightly), added some missing screws, and also adjusted the wine cooler door (it didn't seal well and the light came on frequently). He also took the time to show me how to perform some basic (although highly overdue) maintenance. He repaired a kickplate on the wine cooler that had been falling off for the entire year I owned it. He checked the water line to the ice maker and found it off -- contractors must have turned it off during a bathroom remodel several months earlier. The job did not require additional parts, or a second appointment, or a large payment! The appliances are in better shape than they were when I bought the house a year ago; I can't believe I waited so long to call. Reid was great with the "help" my big dog and curious cat provided to boot. HUGE THANKS!!!

LG's support website provided 2 repair places. One did not return my phone call and the other would take at least 8 days to get it scheduled, and there would likely need to be a second visit since it would be likely they would have to order parts. I decided to check Angie's list and saw Raker with positive reviews. I went to their website and filled out the form requesting a call back. The call was returned in less than an hour. John said he was I the area and could be at my home in about 15 minutes to take a look. I was shocked, but appreciative. He showed up on time, no massive 4 hour or longer time period. He was very professional and expertly disassembled the refrigerator and found the problem. A new part would need to be ordered. He gave me the price then which I agreed to. He put everything back together. Because he removed the ice build up, the ice maker actually started working again. He said he should have th part in 2 days and we agreed on a follow up call at that time. Since I was off this week which he knew, when he called as he said he would 2 days later, he again was able to come right out. He showed up, installed the new part and provided suggestions if I noted any frost problems again. He was personable, professional, and competent. I could not have asked for a better experience with a repair person. I will definitely call them if I ever have trouble with an appliance again.

I called Raker Appliance, left a message, and checked with Mr. Rubin at Crest Appliance Repair. He immediately recommended getting in touch with Reid Raker, saying that he was very knowledgeable. As soon as I completed the call with Ben Rubin, Reid Raker called me. I explained the situation and he had the answer immediately! After making sure that we didn't smell gas, he asked if someone had recently cleaned the oven, including removing the burner and oven control knobs. When I said yes, he explained that in the process water had gotten into the interior and the clicking was an indication that there was moisture that needed to evaporate. He suggested unplugging the unit, removing the knobs and letting things dry out for a day or so. He told me to get in touch if the clicking continued and if so, that he would make a service call. We followed his advice and the clicking stopped! What a caring professional way to do business! The next time any of our appliances need service, we are definitely calling Reid Raker!
