Rob was very responsive from our first contact & even after the job was done and the last check received. He always called me back within a day, came out to look at the job and provided an estimate quickly. It was obvious from the results of the work that he was closely listening as I explained to him a fairly miscellaneouls list of jobs I needed done. He was able to start the job within a week after I signed the contract, and he took less time than expected to complete the job. They were on time everyday, and I'm very happy with the work, everything looks great, and is high quality work. I'm particularly pleased that Rob thought to provide ample and easily removable shelves in the new closet, knowing I would be using that room as an office and needed the storage space; the extra shelving can easily be removed if it ever needs to be used for a clothes closet. I would certainly have thiRob do additional work for me on my next remodeling task and would recommend him to others.
Description of Work: Rob and his sidekick took out a ceramic kitchen/breakfast room floor and Installed new cork flooring, installed new den floors, built a new closet, removed some built-ins and painted a bedroom

In March 2013 my wife and I solicited estimates and suggestions from four contractors to completely remodel our Master Bath. My wife and I were most impressed by Rob Nally's suggestions and ideas. We felt very comfortable with Rob from our first meeting and contracted with Bottom Line Remodeling to do the work. Rob and Derek did all of the work and arrived at our home on time and laid tarps from the front door to the master bath. Our dog became good friends with both men. At the end of each work day they left our home in the same condition as it was when they arrived. Our new bathroom is absolutely beautiful. We had a serious problem with the supplier of our custom cabinet and Rob stepped into to resolve the problem. When we remodel our kitchen Bottom Line Remodeling will be the only contractor we contact. We always show off our bathroom when friends or neighbors visit us. Great job guys.
Description of Work: Demolished the existing Master Bathroom and removed a large soaking tub and all of material from the demo. Then completely remodeled the bathroom including the installation of a beautiful fancy tile shower moved the toilet to a discrete area and installed a custom design granite top double bowl sink, inset ceiling lights, etc.

I called the company's listed number on Monday, Apr. 22, 2103. It was only an answering service and the persons who answer the calls cannot answer any questions but take the callers number and message. After I left the number and message, Mr. Robert Nally called and left a message for me. He did not leave his cell or other direct number but instead asked to call back the main number and leave another message. I called back the main number and left a message again. When I said that this was a message for Robert Nally the person I spoke with told me that he does not know who Robert Nally is, repeating to me that he was only answering the calls and taking messages. That was very much surprising and unsettling. Giving them a benefit of doubt I called back today to inquire. I got the same stone-walling - the answering service representative told me if I would like to leave a message, making it clear that she cannot do anything else to help me. I can only imagine what kind of attitude this company would have if I hired them to remodel my bathroom. Although it was a very negative experience, I am thankful that I did not proceed anywhere further beyond the initial couple of calls. Overall rating is F for experience, responsiveness, punctuality. A very bad experience, indeed! Hope Mr. Nally will take this into consideration. I was thinking of sending him a personal email about this since his email account appears on their website (Contact Us) but I through this would be enough.

To whom it may concern, I am sorry but I work during the day on my projects. I return calls when I get done and back to my office in the afternoon. Some days I don't get home until later as I am looking at new estimates. I call customers back and sometimes we play phone tag. I am very busy with working, being a father of two and also have things to do at home and only play phone tag so long. Maybe I could be left a direct number to get to customers that call also. Yes I have an answering service and have for 15 years as I am on the job working and not sitting at my desk and most customers see it as an advantage. No one leaves a message for an answering machine and I am a small company and can't pay someone to sit and answer phones all day. A little patience sure goes a long way. Also I feel that if someone would go thru the extreme of trying to make someone look bad when you have never spoken to them and they didn't actually do a project for them that that tell you they may certainly to hard to work for in the first place. Sorry that it didn't work out but Have a great day and please look at my reveiws from work that was performed

The original estimate appointment was on Friday, 4/5/2013. As Mr. McNally was leaving, he said that he would e-mail the estimate either that day or by the end of the weekend and that he would call after he sent the e-mail. The weekend passed with no contact. I assumed he was busy, so I decided to give it more time. On 4/16/2013, I sent a follow-up e-mail (a copy of which I have saved) in which I outlined his original promise and asked if/when I would receive an estimate. It is now 4/22/2013 and I have not had any follow-up from the company. At this point, I have no interest in working with this company.

We supplied the decorative stuff, had it on site before work started. Rob Nally bought the tub and the tile we picked out, as well as all the building materials. They were awesome and we're very happy with how the job turned out. The tile and caulking are especially nicely finished. There were some old-house issues hiccoughs going along but everything came out right in the end. The remodel was low stress, which I really appreciated. Contractor has a lot of common sense and good humor and they were easy to have in the house. It all took a few weeks since they got started on another job while those last kinks were still being worked out on ours. We were OK with it and had no complaints, Rob gave us an inconvenience discount on the final amount on his own, just being nice.

My experience with Bottom Line Remodeling was excellent and the job was completed within budget. Rob passed on a discount that he receives for tile - that was very much appreciated. Rob's motto is "I want the customer to be happy" and he does everything possible to make that happen. The workmanship is excellent - I'm very pleased with the final product. Rob even changed the grout color for me after it was installed but was not what I had expected (I did pick it out - it wasn't his fault in any way). Rob is also very sensitive to the dirt and dust that comes with remodeling - the first thing he does each day is put drop cloths along any path that he or his workers will be traveling. Rob also built a small platform deck in the back - great work but unfortunately I didn't plan very well. He agreed to come back at no cost to me to fix it. While he said it wasn't a major problem to fix it, I still appreciated his willingness to come back and take care of it. Overall, I would recommend Bottom Line Remodeling and plan to have them come back for a few updates in the future.
Description of Work: Remodeled a bathroom - removed old shower, floor, old fixtures, vanity, mirror, etc. Installed a new tile shower and floor, replaced all fixtures, painted walls and closets. Also built a very small platform deck in the back.

Robert was always ontime and the work was excellent. He went with myself and my husband to assist in picking out tile, vanity, cabinets and faucets. He made great suggestions and my bathroom now is the nicest room in the house. he always cleaned up every day and I felt comfortable leaving him in the house while I was at work. He also put together cabinets we bought at no extra charge. I will definetly recommend him to others.

Rob called back promptly for leaking ceiling in kitchen due to shower leak above. He made time on his lunch hour to evaluate leak and estimate repair. Rob was punctual and extremely efficient and pleasant to work with. He was neat, came in on budget, and did a beautiful job repairing the shower pan and re-tiling to blend with existing tile. I won't hesitate to call him again for any work needed. A+++++ Carpenter and nice person.
Description of Work: Demo of leaking shower floor and knee wall in master bath
Robert provided us very fair estimate to complete the work, recommended a great flooring warehouse where we were able to purchase our flooring at a much cheaper price. Robert and his team did great work and we are so very happy with the results. They cleaned up at the end of each day and even made sure they left some child proofing barriers to keep our daughter and dog out of any dangerous areas. Consistent and professional communication was maintained throughout the project. Even though we lost two days of work due to Hurricane Sandy, Robert and his team still finished in great time. Robert found a faulty installation problem of our dishwasher that was installed by Lowe's. Robert helped us file insurance claims and took his own time to represent us and our home to the insurance companies involved - even though it had nothing to do with him or his work, he put us first and made sure we got fair deals from the insurance companies. This is our second project with Robert and we are looking forward to our next project with him.
Description of Work: We had Robert and his team provide us the estimate and complete the work to do the following: take down part of a wall between our kitchen and dining room, remove the existing flooring in our kitchen and dining room, install new hardwood flooring in both the kitchen and dining room, remove an existing interior window and door and install new trim, remove existing wallpaper and trims and repaint the dining room and kitchen, build in a new pantry and install a waterline for the refrigerator.

Robert and his crew were very concerned about keeping our carpet clean and put down tarps over it so no construction dirt would be tracted in our bedroom, hallway and down stairs. Robert was the one who did the estimate and the work, so it was good to work with him from start to finish. Before leaving after the job he did all the touchups that my wife requested and that was also very pleasing. Robert was very friendly and professional the entire time.
Description of Work: Our small master bathroom was remodled by Robert Nally. My wife had a specific design plan out of a book by Candice Olson from HGTV. Robert was able to duplicate the design and adhered to the plan my wife had. He repeatedly asked her opinion of the work as parts were completed. He truly was interested in pleasing my wife. We liked his work and are going to have him come back to do more work on our home. We got several bids and Robert was the best one. He finished the job in the promised time of four days and that too was excellent.

Can't comment on how it went overall, since we never got to this stage.
Description of Work: This company was not dependable in the estimate stages, so I am not sure how they could be dependable if we had ever gotten to the construction stage. I received an immediate call back from Robert Nally when I first called indicating that he was on vacation and he would get back with me the following Sunday. I waited and didn't hear back, so I called the company two days later. We made an appointment for him to come by to take a look and he did show up as scheduled. Unfortunately, I have heard nothing back and it has been more than three weeks. I was told that I would receive an estimate within a few days. I guess that my french door installation wasn't enough of a money maker, so he decided not to provide an estimate. It would have been nice for him to follow up. Some of the service providers here on Angies list are getting so much business from the list that following up in the beginning stages doesn't seem to be a priority, especially with so many fish in the sea. Be warned that if you have a small job, this may not be the company for you.

Bottom Line Remodeling was extremely professional and flexible. They were attentive and worked with me on a self-designed kitchen. It was obvious that they cared about making my kitchen look the best it could look. They went out of their way to update me on a regular basis during the kitchen remodel so there would not be any surprises. I would strongly recommend Rob and his team in the future and he can use me as a reference at any time.

When Rob provided his estimate he advised that the project would take approximately 5-7 days; as well as an estimate on when he would be able to begin the project. The project began in the exact timeframe Rob Nally provided and took exactly as along as he said it would. Rob and his assistant did the entire job themselves. Start time was 8:00 a.m. and Rob was on site at 7:50 a.m. each day...ready to work. He went above and beyond in explaining each step of the project to me. Our home was kept as clean as possible and additional cleaning took place at the end of each business day. Rob even noted a wiring issue in our bathroom and took care of it. He was also very flexible and patient as I decided to add a window replacement and shower doors instead of a rod just a few days before the project bagan! Rob provided advice and suggestions on fixtures, and even noticed that the vanity we purchased was too large, giving us plenty of time to replace it before he was ready for the installation. Bulky items were disposed of and hauled away immediately. There was no such thing as "down time" with these guys. If Rob and his assistant were at our home, they were getting the job done. Both were friendly and professional. The final costs matched the estimate provided which was a pleasant surprise to me. I LOVE MY NEW BATHROOM!! It's a thousand times better than the old one and is truly a quality project completion. I will definitely call Rob Nally again for our next home improvement project.
Description of Work: We contacted Bottom Line as well as 2 other contractors for an estimate on improving our circa 1960s bathroom. Rob Nally came out and met with my husband and I to discuss exactly what I wanted and his proposal for getting it done. Being relatively new at home improvements, I had no idea what to expect or what was even possible. Rob quickly set our minds at ease by describing exactly what was possible, what he would do and how long it would take. Bottom Line was not the least expensive estimate we received, but Rob Nally provided the most/best detail on the work he would do which was very important to me. The entire bathroom had to be gutted down to the studs...I was a nervous wreck at the thought of the process. Based on his estimate and the information he provided, we hoped there would be no surprises and we were right!!

My husband and I intended to do our bathroom remodel ourselves but after we completeld demo realized a professional was needed to install new floors to replace the floor rotted by water damage and to replace the drywall. We were happy that Robert agreed to come in and do only some of the work and let us do the rest. He installed new subfloor and cement board for the whole bath and all new drywall. He also did the rough in for the new clawfoot tub and then came back after we did the tile and paint, and installed the tub for us. The bath now looks great and we still saved by doing alot of the work ourselves. He was very professional and his work was very good..

We really enjoy working with Robert. He provides very accurate quotes and does not keep making additions during the course of the work. The work is of high quality and the clean up after the job is great!
Description of Work: We used Robert a few years ago to remodel one of our bathrooms so we were very comfortable using him again when we wanted to remodel our last bathroom. The work included installing a tile floor, new ceiling fan,a new vanity and all new fixtures. Robert had previously installed a new shower stall.
Over all it was as close to perfect as you can get. One suggestion if you are having tile work done; know the difference between sanded and regular grout and how it will look on your floor or wall. Sanded grout is exactly that, it contains sand and the finished texture is rough. Great for floors but it was used on the walls and it would not be my first choice. However, I did not ask what type of grout would be used that is my fault. Don't get me wrong, it still looks great. When I do my next project, I will be hiring Robert Nally.
Description of Work: COMPLETE BATHROOM REMODEL - WALLS FLOOR CEILING FIXTURES PLUMBING ELECTRIC Going to provide 2 perspectives of services and workmanship: Husband vs Wife. Project was to gut and renovate 1969 powder blue bathroom (ugh). Wife - Robert gave and estimate in full detail of work to be performed. Nothing was missed and at time of completion, there were no hidden or additional costs. This is very important to consider when hiring a contractor. A previous contractor felt it necessary to constantly call with add-ons to the cost of a kitchen remodel. Robert was true to his estimate! There was never a situation where the contractor was late or failed to show. Clean? Oh my yes. While you can't contain all of the dust when gutting the room down to stud, the utmost care was taken to reduce as much debris as possible from entering the house. Plumbing and electric were done by subcontractor but this work was done while Robert was present. Installed completely new shower etc. The tile work was fabulous! Had two problems during the project; 1) with fitting tile to an outside corner but the problem was resolved with a little bit of creativity and looks great. 2) When we were choosing some fixtures - I chose a standard size rough in and since the house is older, it was the wrong size (not the fault of the contractor in either case). One additional piece of information as respects our job - we purchased all of the accessories prior to hiring the contractor. Yes, we had a toilet, tub, sink, vanity and tile. Did not have paint but Robert had paint books. Very satisfied with the outcome. Bathroom looks absolutely great. Robert even saved all of the instruction materials that came with the fixtures. Husband: My wife knows her stuff and knew EXACTLY what she wanted. We were on a tight schedule and let Robert know that the bathroom had to be done by a specific date. Robert was savvy enough to know that if Mommy ain't happy, ain't nobody going to be happy. Mommy is happy. Robert gets an "A" from me.

It was easy, and Robert was really nice.
Description of Work: As new homeowners, we wanted to entirely redo the bathroom, but found that we didn't have the money to do a complete remodel. Robert was great about suggesting low cost alternatives and allowing me to do-it-myself on many portions of the job to save money. In the end, we got a better looking functional bathroom and saved lots of money for all the other house projects we had lined up. In detail, Robert removed the old wood flooring, toilet and vanity, put down a new underlay and applied vinyl flooring. He also cut and replaced a moldy piece of sheetrock that we found when removing the toilet. I reinstalled a new toilet and vanity from a hardware store.
Robert stood out from the start. His estimate was detailed and much more complete than the other estimates we received. He had wonderful ideas to make the remodel look more custom while staying within the budget. The lines of communication were open all during the process; we knew what to expect each step of the way. The stairs and hall from the bath to the front door were protected with a drop cloth each morning. They cleaned up very well at the end of each day. We were thrilled with the way our bathroom turned out and would not hesitate to hire Robert again.
Description of Work: Complete remodel of master bath. Demo shower, remove old tile floor and cement shower floor, move shower lines, tile new shower stall and tile floor, install vanity and medicine cabinet, moved light, painted room. He also installed 7 6-panel doors with new hardware.
We were extremely happy and satisfied with all of the work performed by Rob Nally & his team. I made a fairly detailed work statement before I put the job out for bids. Rob quoted the job and provided a detailed and thorough line by line estimate which allowed my wife & I to understand the breakdown without any ambiguity. That said, Rob understands that as the job progresses, things sometimes change. In our case there were small changes, several of which were absorbed by Rob which is a testament to his fairness and understanding of this type of busines. He was always easy to coordinate with and he and his team were punctual, courteous and always cleaned/tidied up daily. The job was finished in the timeframe promised with the exception of a change we made to the contract requiring additional permit coordination and inspection, but where he still made himself available when the inspectors arrived. The quality of the work performed was excellent and completed without any problems worthy of note. Where we made any minor comments during the remodel, items were immediately attended to. We were also impressed by his electrical subcontractor, Victor of Victor Electric who also went out of his way to coordinate with us on fixtures, special lightning needs and wiring for TV/surround system installation. Given our experience, we were very pleased with the project and would not hesitate to recommend Bottom-line Remodeling to anyone else.
Description of Work: Work performed included a full basement remodel which included; - framing for basement, bathroom & electrical closet - door installations - insulation - sheetrock - new basement windows - drop ceiling installation - bathroom remodel, inclusive of ceramic tiling, plumbing, fixture installation, fan, lighting, etc - fireplace remodel with ceramic tile and mantel - trim work & stair hand rail - recessed lighting - TV, cable, surround system speaker wiring installation - electrical service upgrade - painting - permit & inspection coordination

Received a thorough appraisal of cost and estimated time to completion. Work began as stated; the men always arrived on time, worked hard throughout the day, cleaned up after themselves as needed and overall did an excellent job.
Description of Work: We had a kitchen renovation which included removing a load bearing wall, expanding the kitchen, installing granite countertops and realigning cabinetry, which also involved floor tile changes. They also installed a bathroom in the basement with, of course, necessary plumbing. They were always courteous, timely, thorough, and overall great craftsmen. It has been a while since the work was done but I would certainly recommend them based on this experience.
Rob Nally, the owner, met with us and reviewed our plans for a new bathroom. He made suggestions about the layout and enhanced the original plan. His quote was not the lowest (it wasn't the highest either), but he was the only one who listed out exactly what he was going to do line by line. He started the job when he said he would and finished when he said he would. He called us just about every day (we were not living in the house at the time) to let us know his progress and what he was going to do next. The job he did was perfect. PERFECT! We can't tell from the outside where he removed the window, we cannot spot any flaws and we have looked and looked. Everyone that comes to the house is amazed at the work performed. He is a true craftsman and it shows in his work . The other thing that impressed us is how clean everything was at the end of the day. There was never any debris and supplies were neatly stacked. The work was worth every penny and we would use him again (and will) and recommend him to anyone who asks. This was a true find and I doubt you can do better than Bottom Line remodeling. He should be in anyone's top 2 for remodeling.
Description of Work: Added a new bathroom to our home. Demo'd existing wall, replace exterior window, framed new closet area, new hall entry door, wall and framing for shower. Install air register and duct from existing system. Install wall and floor tile. Installed toilet, vanity and baseboard heater, exhaust fan/light/heat lamp. Removed existing windows, frame and insulate and patch exterior siding and paint. Performed all the plumbing and electrical necessary for the new bathroom.

Overall we were very satisfied with the work done. Rob was always on time and finished the job as scheduled. Our bathroom and foyer look great and we have had no issues with the work. We will be hiring him again when we redo our master bath. Also his price was very reasonable as compared to the other estimates we got.
