We were given a time of between 9 and 11 AM. They came at 10:30. The men were polite and efficient. It did not take more than a half hour for them to check the chimney and to clean it. They showed a picture of the chimney and explained what they saw. There was no high pressure to do anything, and my husband and I can make a decision about recapping the chimney on our own schedule. I felt comfortable with this company and would definitely use them again.

After searching Angies List for chimney sweeps, I selected Complete Chimneys, Inc. We arranged a convienent time for us, when their crew would be returning to the area from a job further away. Two men reported on time, reviewed and confirmed the work requested. They spread out drop cloths over our biege carpet. I had cleaned most of the debris from the fireplace; they fully cleaned the ash from the fireplace before proceeding with the chimney inspection and sweep. I appreciated that they started with a clean area and didn't try working in an area that I thought would be clean enough. One man worked the roof, removing the chimney cap, sweeping the flue, and replacing the cap, while the other worked the firebox, removing the sweepings. They used a shop vac to clean the area and removed the drop cloths without spilling any dust. They prepared a report of their Nat'l Fire Protection Assoc. Level I inspection and results of their work performed. The job was done professionally. Their price included a discount for residents of oyur neighborhood.

I needed to get the job done right away and they were able to come out quickly. They were thorough, knowledgeable and cleaned up afterwards.

The repair process was very professional from start to finish. Doc evaluated the current condition and detailed and explained the needed repairs. He took care in making sure we understood that the new brick would not matched the old and that the mason would try to match it as close as possible. He did not try to sell any work not needed. Chris the mason was quite the artisan. It was evident that he took a lot of pride in his work. He took efforts to protect a heirloom hydrangea and other plants at the base of the chimney. All debris was removed after the job was finished. Chris and his helpers, Jude and Bob, were courteous throughout.

I was satisfied but the time taken was not what i expected. But i believe they are professionals so they did what they had to. I still recommend complete chimney though.

The two technicians were prompt, polite, and thorough. My wood stove chimney was alarmingly clogged. Not only did they thoroughly clean it, they also researched to ensure the clearance was adequate on all sides of the stove. They cleaned behind themselves and replaced everything when they were done. I'll definitely use them again.

I called for an estimate and a representative came promptly, within a couple days. He looked at the chimney and provided an estimate at the time. We scheduled the work for the following week. It was done without my being home and they left an invoice just like they said.

Impressed with their knowlege and experience when they came for the initial estimate. Didn't feel like I was being taken advantage of. I like the fact that they provided to me then with literature about the products they'd be using on the job. On day of job, they arrived within the window they said they'd arrive, did a good job, and cleaned up well. Very professional. They even offered to remove the unused TV antenna attached to the chimney and cut it into 3 pieces for easy removal for me later to put on the trash. They didn't even charge me extra for this. Really appreciated all of that.

Contracted with this company to clean the fireplace/chimney of the house I was renting as part of terminating my lease and moving. Visit was scheduled around my schedule, the technicians showed up on time. Before beginning work, they layed down floor coverings to protect the carpet around the area where they were to be working.They cleaned and inspected the fireplace and chimney to include pulling the insert out and cleaning behind/around it. After completing the work, they explained what they found during the inspection in a way that I understood it and could explain it to the owners of the houe. Overall, i am very satisfied with the experience and would reccommend them without reservations to anyone needing fireplace and chimney cleaning/inspection.

Arrived as scheduled. All repairs explained in detail. Very careful not to make a mess in the house. Very professional employees. A very good experience. Christy in the office was very helpful in scheduling appointment at convenient time and very helpful. This is the best Chimney company in Anne Arundle county.

Serviceman came to house to assess pellet stove problem. He spent a while looking at the stove and then asked for the manual to look at the specifications. He told me he'd call the company to talk to a technician and get back to me with an estimate in a couple days. I waited 3 days, and called the company. The receptionist said she'd leave a message for him to call me back. After waiting 3 days for a call, I called back again. Again I was told they'd give him a message to call me back. I never received an estimate.

They did stay and answer any quesitons we had since this is the first time we have ever owned a chimney, we didn't know much about them. We will definitely call them in the future when it does need to be cleaned.

The men cleaned the chimney from both the top and the bottom. Removed a good deal of material. Everything was cleaned up when the job was complete.

Came when they stated and did the job well.

They were very responsive and did a good job on what they did. They were good about setting up the appointment. They were very efficient and didn't leave a mess. We were very pleased with them and we would definitely recommend them.

It was one person and I had trouble with birds coming into my chimney. He put screens on both chimney's and I had hime clean out my chimnies. There was no mess in the house. Like I said it was a long time ago but I would use them again.

This work was actually completed in Spring 2009, but I wanted to wait until we got some use out of the thing over the period of a year. We have a large brick chimney that was poorly constructed by the original builder. Consequently, over the years water had leaked into the 'false flues", pooled and caused structural damage. Due to lack of preventative maintenance, small trees were growing from cracks and spaces in the bricks. I think you get picture. We got the requisite three quotes from contractors all from the List. Two made the same assessment and recommended the same work: Rebuilding the chimney from the roof line up. Complete Chimney actually was the lesser cost of the two. However the decision to select them was based on level of comfort and the amount of detail in the explanation of the recommended work as well as the cost. By the way the other, or third, quote recommended 'pointing the masonry?. It was very cheap, but considering I was worried about the tree separating the masonry to the point of pieces falling off onto the roof, I didn't feel comfortable with that approach. COMPLETE CHIMNEYS INC finished the estimated masonry work as planned. The rep recommended a Lock-Top Chimney Damper (http://www.woodlanddirect.com/Chimney/Top-Sealing-Chimney-Dampers/Lock-Top-Chimney-Cap-Damper) over the type of damper we originally had. I did some research, the idea seemed sound enough. More than the reported ?energy saving?, I liked the idea of keeping critters out. However, after one year of admittedly heavy use of the fire place but relatively low use of the damper (i.e. Opening/Closing, mostly open over winter), the wire to the Lock Top snapped. Complete Chimney responded and replaced it free of charge. However I don?t have a warm fuzzy about this apparatus going forward.

Not only did I receive the best quote from this company, but the sweeper was very courteous and professional. I would definitely use this company again in the future.

We had a high efficiency furnace put in, and it meant that we had to have the chimney downsized. It was supposed to be a one-day job, but it took them longer. They charged up and down the stairs and left stuff on the stairs. I am not sure they knew what they were getting into when they came out to do the job. They came to line the chimney and ended up replacing it. They tore all the pieces and said we?d have to fix the hole in our wall. I am not sure that was necessary. They were competitively priced compared to others who would?ve done the same job. I wasn?t happy with them at all, though. I would be very reluctant to hire them again.

Excellent! We had contacted the company for a cleaning and inspection. Our chimney is old and was in need of repair. He gave us the estimate for repairs the day he came and inspected/cleaned the chimney. We felt the price was fair for the amount of work and scheduled the repair that day. He came back within a week for the repairs. Both times he was prompt, courteous and professional. The repair work to our chimney is excellent. We will be using this company going forward for our annual chimney cleaning.

I called and spoke to a very nice woman who scheduled me in a week to get my chimney swept, inspected and to figure out some sort of damper that could close off our chimney. We'd pulled out an insert and the damper had been removed. Most of the other places I'd called told me a month to 6 weeks since this was the very busiest season, so I was happy to get a slot in a week. I'd used both Angie's List and the Chimney Safety Institute of America's website to find a reputable and certified sweep. Chuck, the sweep, called and asked if he could come a little earlier than the scheduled time, which actually worked better for me, so he came. Very pleasant guy. Swept the chimney and located the soot box lid and installed it. Located the old damper which had been broken along with the masonry that held it up, but still tried to repair if he could, but that wasn't going to work. He ended up putting on an external latch top damper, which works very easily. He left no mess behind. He was very professional and very pleasant. I'd definitely use him again. Good Job, Chuck!

Complete Chimneys did a good job. They were responsive, punctual, and professional. We had heard about them from someone in our neighborhood who works for them. Everyone needed their gutters cleaned, so a bunch of us in the neighborhood hired them and got 15 percent off. The guy that came out took the mess with him in buckets. The quality of work was great.

Estimate for work was 50% less than others, but they were also recommending less work to be done. Others recommended tearing down part of chimney and rebuilding. Very professional and courteous. Ended up doing more work than was estimated (25 bricks) and did not charge more.
