Terminix - Owings Mills -Termite & Pest Control

I paid for the annual service which was in the ballpark of $500.00. A bit pricey in my opinion but better to have it done right than be infested with insects. The service was great, the gentleman came and inspected the interior and exterior in just under an hour, and identified and sprayed hot spots to kill/deter the insects. What's nice about this service is that they will come back every three months and recheck the perimeter and re-spray. Also, if you have any insect problems in your home you can call them back and they will take care of your problem for free. I had a ton of concrete ants in my home and just three days after the gentleman left I can't find a single one. Will use them again, and would recommend them to anyone.

They did their job and I have no complaints. The price was nice. I would use them again. They were really professional. They came on time.

It is a very good experience. The people who come take care of the termite and do the pest control are really knowledgable. We had mice come in and they could point out where they were coming in, one was by the faucet. He was very helpful. They have always been courteous, polite, and if I have questions they answer them. We have had them for 12 years. You can call them anytime. They call if they do not come out their scheduled day. Always in uniform.

I used them last year to do a termite treatment. They just came back out to perform a check for me and saw no pest problems. They did just check outside. They did not make an appointment with me to come inside to check. I feel that they would need to look inside as well since it is on the form that was left.

The man came out and walked all around our property. He gave us a price and we asked him if it included all of our outbuildings, he said that yes it would include them. The man that came out today, looked around and told us that he could not perform the service for the price that was quoted on Friday. We spoke to the manager and he told us that for an additional $1,000 they would be able to perform the service. After my husband spoke with the man and told him that we were not interested in getting the service for that price, the man made it seem as though it was an inconvenience for him. This company has tried to pull the old, bait and switch on us.

They're very dependable and they do their job well.

The entire service was top notch from beginning to end. We needed to treat our house as a condition of sale, so time was of the essence as things move quickly in this situation. From the initial consultation to the scheduling and service, everything went great. I don't know if I can complement our technician by name, but if I can, I have to say the James Briggs was outstanding. He explained everything he was going to do and was just fantastic. I know that the big service franchises are often subject to the "one bad apple problem" but our experience shows that they can also recruit great employees and provide a very personalized experience, even as a large organization.

Bill Torrance is a gem. He was helpful, he educated us on the issue, and prompt. He came over quickly and was able to fit us in the schedule without a big delay.

The workman were very professional, and did a good job keeping my house clean. They said they put a protective covering over my central AC unit in the attic, but of course, I did not see it. However, I have no reason to believe that they did not protect it. I was home during the process, and can testify that they definitely blew in the insulation. However, it has not made one bit of difference to my energy usage, and my house feels no warmer than it did before. They estimated a 40% drop in energy bills, but my bills not only did not decrease, I was using more therms this year than last year. I can still feel drafts in the house, even though I have all replacement windows. The few days we had snow on the roof, it was obvious mine was melting as quickly as in years before the insulation was added. I tried to call Terminix to have someone come and check the job, but no one returned my call. When I told my pest-control technician that I was very disappointed, I know he contacted the original salesman, but no one ever contacted me. I am very disappointed with the result. I thought I was making an investment that would pay off for the environment and for my energy bills, but obviously I did not.

Terminix service was inadequate and attempts to resolve it have been unsatisfactory.

They come out periodically, check the baits, and leave a note. They are very efficient. Everything seems to be working smoothly.

They did a great job. I also used them before and I will used them again in the future if I needed to.

They are pretty good. We have been satisfied with their services. I have no complaints. They keep the bugs out. They come out on a regular schedule pretty good.

I have an annual contract with them. They also come out anytime I have a problem.

Terminix also dealt with my termite problem and they were very thorough in their evaluation and gave a sensible estimate. The technician lifted ceiling tiles and crawled everywhere, and the treatment was really thorough and effective.

They advertise that they can control rodents, and were not able to take care of the rodents at my home. After I cancelled my account they kept billing me, and even showed up for a treatment.

I have had no complaints and no termites.

I am upset with them. The last time an inspector came out, I pointed out some tiny little holes that were next to a sliding glass door and the inside wall. My husband was worried that there were insects inside the wall somehow that had made these holes and so the inspector said that she would notify the local office and have someone come out and either treat it or look at it more closely than she could. No one ever came. And I think she came out again for the next inspection and nobody came out yet and she said she would make sure she call them the next time to come out and no one ever contacted me from the office. I started to call them but there wasn't any way to contact the local office so I had to call a central number. I made several calls and no one from this local office has been back yet to look at this problem. However, we did have someone come out and treat our house for different insects because they were at the wrong house. They were supposed to go next door and they left a bill on our door with the next door neighbor's name on it so we got treated for insects we didn't even have and got a free treatment and the next door neighbors are probably being sent a bill for something that they didn't even get. The office was unprofessional. They were not following up with any of my phone calls. When my contract expires, I will not be using them again.

The first guy who came and sprayed let me know that it wasn’t his area. He was filling in for someone who called off. He seemed to kind of go through very quickly. He was kind of complaining that he had to come here because the other guy called off. We still had ants. So another guy came back and it was his area. He sprayed and he was very nice and professional. The ants never went away. It was embarrassing when we had people for a party and there were ants. We ended up canceling them and ended up buying our own ants spray at a store. Then the ants were gone. The guy came out when we called.

I guess the experience was just how I planned. They came to do the job that I asked them to do, and I paid them. The quality of their service was so far, so good.

I like the fact that they come and out spray the exterior of my house and in case I need them to spray the inside of my house, they come back again and do the job without a charge and they also leave an extra pest control spray so that I can use it myself. Their pricing is a little high and I think it could be a little bit cheaper. They are very professional and when they come home to do the service they remove their shoes out. I have no issues with them and their service.

We have used this technician for about 15 years. If I see ant holes developing outside I can call him he is usually out here within 48 hours most likely in 24 hours and getting the hold treated. They are very prompt. Their prices have gone up but who's hasn't?

I really didn’t have to interact with them and they came over before I bought the house. They inspected the house and I bought the house.

They came out and looked at the property and did some exterminator for the spiders and then they agreed to come out every three months to continue to exterminate. I liked that they did come out. I disliked that they could come earlier. I went there earlier for an hour to wait and no one showed up until the time they were supposed to show up, so from my perspective, they said the expectation that they could get the job done earlier in the day and I made arrangements for that to happen and I still ended up at least an hour off my time. I would give them a try to see if this exterminating that they have been doing works, but I would not recommend them to somebody else right now.

They are very courteous and very clean. They are also trustworthy. They're careful around your pets, which I like because I have little dog. I also like that they'll come back as many times as you need them to, if you have any problems.
