Terminix - Owings Mills -Termite & Pest Control

Everything was good. It was great. They are always good. They are very professional. They set the time and they comply with the time that they’ve set. They come and take care of things. So I don’t have to worry about it. Then I get my bill and it’s fair. So I’m happy to pay it. We have a contract with them and they come periodically. So I’m not sure what we pay them but I know that when we set it up, we talked around at that time. They may not have been the least expensive but they came highly recommended. So I consider that as well. We will use their services again in the future.

On the first appointment (there is a 2 hr. window) the technician (Max) called after the 2 hr. limit was over and said he was a block away. 1 1/2 hours later, still no Max. When I checked the account on the computer, Max said WE were a no show. I called the next day and was assured this was not a normal occurrence. We set a new appointment. I said I did not want Max. I was assured it would not be Max. Max showed up. He left a slimy film of chemicals on the kitchen floor. When I called to complain, I was promised a discount and told I would never see Max again. Never received the discount.90 days later, It's time for scheduled appt. My wife sat in the front room so as not to miss the tech. We never saw him. No knock. No ringing of the door bell. When I called Terminix, I was told he had been there, done the work, and was finished. When I spoke with the area manager, I was told that I was incorrect. He had the GPS report that showed where the technician had been and that my house had been done. Our kitchen is in the back of the house and can only be reached by going through the house. When I asked the area manager how the tech could possibly have done the job, there was no response. I said I wanted to cancel the contract. In an email the next day, the manager said the contract was canceled, but that I would have to pay the bill for the previous day. So much for their slogan: "100% satisfaction or your money back — If you're not happy with our services, we will keep working until you are satisfied or we will credit or refund the cost of your last service."

They provide quarterly service. The person who handles our pest control individually is the reason we continue to use Terminix International Co.

My family and I have used Terminix for years. They do good work and we have been very happy with their work.

I would recommend them. It’s been a great experience. They came and handled my issues. They also reassured me that I wouldn’t have any more issues. They are great to work with and they are very knowledgeable in the pest control field.

The job they did with the bugs was good. The only issue we had was that apparently they now sell insulation so basically while one of their guys was doing the bugs, the other guy was trying to sell my wife on a bunch of insulation. We thought it was like a bait and switch type issue and it was kind of shady. Getting into our attic he scuffed up the access door and things like that, which we did not appreciate. We would use them again for pest control because the bugs are basically gone.

They take care of termites and ants. They show up on time and seem to do everything well.

They come out quarterly. I last used them probably beginning of August. I pay them yearly. They are just reliable. I know they are going to come out and I don't have to worry about the termites.

I have had a Terminix Guarentee and Warranty Plan on my home for approximately 15+ years. Extensive terminite damage was recently discovered when I was attempting to get a new front door installed. I called the Bowie, Md office and spoke with their office supervisor, Mr. John Lewis after my home was inspected by their service person - who observed and confirmed the termite damage. The termite repair contractor has inspected my damage and will cut out the ceiling in the finished basement to confirm the extent of the damage, and repair from below. I will update this report when the damage is repaired.

I have been using them for years. They come every couple of months and do the stuff outside. They don’t have an answer to the stink bugs. They have asked me to use soapy water. We don’t have any termites. They charge $90 and come out every 2 or 3 months.

They are okay. They come once every 90 days and if no one is home they spray around the perimeter. I wouldn’t say they are five-star. We have an annual contract and the price isn’t too bad. I would rather that they call rather than coming unannounced so we could make an effort to be home. They spray inside if we are there so I feel like we are paying for something that we don’t get if we are never home.

We spent around $90 or $95 on that service. We think that it is a recognized, national firm. Over the years now that we have had this company, W have gotten to know the gentleman that comes to take care of the treatment in our house and it is like a friendship basis. They have always seemed to show up I we have a problem that shows up unexpectedly they will come out the next day and treat it right away. They have always been able to accommodate whatever our schedule is. They are not inexpensive.

We have two plans, one plan for termites and one for pests. It seems to work because there are no pests. They are very responsive. They provide a lot of useful information. They are not the cheapest.

I have contracted Terminix for termite protection. They also spray pest control once in 3 months. I do not think their services are necessary for pest control. They spray very less quantity and I do not see it actually controlling the environment. There are spiders and flies still seen around. I am thinking to buy the spray myself and take care. Terminix is very good with termite protection. I occupied this place about 5 years ago and chose in-ground treatment for termite control. I am unaware, how often this treatment should be repeated. Hence, I have contracted Terminix to take of termites. They are very good in the above and will continue to use their services in future for termite protection.

I have an annual contract. They come quarterly to treat the barrier of the house for insects, knocking down webs and nests along the way. Yesterday when he arrived I was home and told him we have seen a few millipede type things inside so he came in and treated the doors and windows (points of entry) from the inside too. He seemed to care about it which was nice. We live in a woody and buggy area in an oldish house so am pretty sure we would have lots of insects inside if we did not continue this treatment. The one time I called, the number I had seemed wrong, but this time I will save the receipt they always leave behind so should have a real # for them.

We had a hornet's nest in our front yard and we mentioned that to the woman who does our ant spraying, and she said it was fine because it was in our contract. They sent out the bee specialist and got rid of the nest beautifully. The only issue was that it killed a good portion of the tree, and he didn't tell us that would happen. This was an unpleasant surprise.

I called to get a quote for a termite inspection report for a refinance. The person that answered the phone insisted on booking an appt. w/out being able to tell me how much they charged. I was uneasy about this and so today I called again. (They were due out between 8 and 10) After 8, a man called and told me the report would be $175.00. I might have bitten, but I had called around and knew that was pretty expensive, so I cancelled the appt. I chose to write this up bec/ the office person today was almost rude, telling me that they would tell me how much it was when he got there. In my mind, not an upfront way to do business! The owners might want to know the impression this leaves in potential customer's mouths; Sour.

The guys who come to my home are great. The billing is a nightmare. I have spent more hours than I care to think about trying to get billing issues resolved. If I had paid every bill I received, I'd have been out thousands of dollars as most bills received are in error. To take advantage of the savings offered by paying for multiple years at a time, I have alternated paying 2 years for each service. For example in 2005, I paid for 2 years of termite coverage and in 2006, I paid for 2 years of pest control coverage. Somehow, my payments are almost never correctly credited to my account. It seemed to get better when I switched from paying with Terminix gift cards and check to credit card, but no form of payment seems to be free from their sloppy system.

They were very professional and they did a good job. Their prices were very reasonable too. I will use this company in the future.

They came down and said they would do the job and explained the contract to me. Every person that comes here is helpful, informative and polite. They are very professional and I am very happy with them.

I would not recommend them. The local guy was perfectly fine, the corporate was not. In the end they did not rid of the ants.

They were over price, not effective and their spray was very dangerous for pets. I had a contract with them and they never came when they said they were going to come. I always had to call and reschedule the appointment. They were just horrible and I would not recommend them to anyone.
