It went very nicely. They were meticulous. They took good care of things. They asked questions on what we perferred. There were two painters. The clean up was good from the beginning to the end.

I initially contacted Sheldon and Son's in an effort to have an accent wall painted in my Great Room painted, and eventually for my basement to be painted as well, depending upon how good the smaller job went of course. We scheduled an initial meeting in my home. The sales representative arrived a little late (no problem because he called to let me know he was on the way), was very professional, and appeared to have known his industry quite well. The communication was engaging and quite informative. To be blunt, I was very impressed and immediately sold and thought this was a company I'd like to do business with. I discussed the (2) options provided with my wife, and we decided to proceed, but I had 2 additional questions regarding the quotes. I initially contacted the sales representative at the mobile number he provided and left a message 1 day later. After not receiving a response, I called again 4 days later (leaving a second voicemail message informing him that I wanted to do business but had questions). When I still didn't get a response (now 6 days after the initial appointment), I called the office and spoke with someone there who gave me multiple reasons why she couldn't gain access to the sales representative and suggested I call him again and get this..... wait for him to call back, because he's a busy guy and is often on the road. I pressed back, stating how, as a business man myself, it must be nice to not have to be responsive to customers who actually are ready to do business. Finally, something worked and the representative called me back at 8:00 that evening and professionally answered my questions, but he provided excuses as to why he wasn't available (including something about going to the O's game with family, etc.). I told him I wanted to move forward and have it painted as soon as they could do it (within 30 days), because I had an event I was hosting in my home at the end of the month, so the sooner the better. He told me he'd get back to me when he was in his office that next day between 10:00 and 2:00 once he had the opportunity to speak with his scheduler.... I never got a call. That was now about 2 weeks ago. I'm a flexible person, and I understand things do happen, but enough was enough. I have since contracted with another vendor I found on Angies List, had the Great Room wall painted successfully. We just inked a deal to have my full finished basement painted as well. We'll likely move forward on the 2nd floor of my home at some point next month.

I contacted Sheldon and Sons to have them come out and give me an estimate for some interior painting. The appointment was set for 10 am today (10/10/14). I called them at 11:00 am and after they did some checking, I was informed that they had a mix up between their offices. I had taken time from my work to be home for this estimate and it was completely wasted. If a company mixes up an appointment, I am afraid of what kind of work they would do on my house.

Painters (2) arrived on time. Both were professional and friendly. Job was completed by 4:30 pm. Painters did not leave until they were sure I was satisfied with the work.

Sheldon and Sons provided a great overview of what they had planned for both the Master Bedroom and Living Room. Our Living Room is a key element of our home to display keys pieces of art. With the damage sustained from the leak the eye sore the ceiling became the centerpiece of discussion. i was highly pleased with the overall professionalism and quality of work. you could tell from start to finish this family owned business has a wealth of knowledge and was reflected with the staff they have employed. I cannot wait to recommend them to friends and family.

Prompt, courteous estimate. Workers showed up on time. Polite and careful crew. Did a great job repairing and painting. Cleaned up everyday before they left the 2-1/2 days they were on the job. They cost a little more than other estimate. But we were very pleased with the results.

It went great! I can't say enough good things about Scott Sheldon and his team. The company is professional, friendly, competent and reliable. They were able to accommodate my request for service at the last minute when I was unable to safely reach the area to be painted. Orlando provided the service; what a terrific guy and painter. The two painters were excellent. they were very respective to our wants. Extremely neat.

The painter kept telling me he didn't think he could get it done in the 8 hrs. He finished the work which were both done in all white. He kept going outside to smoke, and was very slow getting the two rooms done.

They were on time, cleaned up after themselves and my walls look great.

Mediocre effort/ quality and expensive

They were very professional. They knew what they were doing. They answered all of our questions. They told me exactly what they were going to do. I made and appointment and they showed up on time.

This is my first AL review. Scott arrived every day for a week on time and worked alone. He has painted for me many times, and is one of very few contractors that I will let in my home and stay while I go to work or run errands. Not only is he dependable, professional and trustworthy, he is an excellent painter. He truly cares about the final result and is proud of the work he does. The ceiling in my MBR is a "tray" type, and I wanted the slanted walls to be white while the side walls and surround was a latte color. The first color I chose for the slanted part turned out to be too bright, but Scott had no problem helping me pick out a second color that was warmer and much less bright. He then repainted that part of the ceiling (not an easy job) - no problem. Every day, he puts the room back the way it normally is,so that we did not have to sleep in another bedroom. Nancy in the office is a doll and so easy to work with. Paul the estimator, again, been to my home many times, is very professional and answers all questions in a knowledgeable way. I will not use any other painting company.

From the beginning they've just been unprofessional. The guy who did the paint job, I didn't have a problem with him. When I would call it was tacky, they didn't have any professional about them. When I did call the receptionist said to hurry up and take her call or she'll give us a bad report! When I did agree to do the job with them they were going to give a discount of 10%. On Angie's List they had a deal for 75$ off for seniors and she didn't know that and said that she would have to check it herself. I called them because the contract said two year gaurenntee on painting and I called them in Feb to have someone come and look at it. The person who came out was Scott Sheldon, the president of the company. They were going to fix it when the weather got nicer. I've since called twice and no one has returned my calls.

Sheldon and Son were very flexible with scheulding and two painters arrived promptly at 9am to begin working for the 8 man hours. The following items were painted in the first 7.5 man hours. kitchen ceiling ( approximately two 10X10 ft. areas) Kitchen backsplash behind sink and stove ( 2X2 ft, and 4 X 2ft. section) they also painted the area above the cabinets 1x4 ft. area. and a 2 inch frame around the patio door. I was told the reason it was taking so long was because I should have purchased Sherwin Williams Supreme, not the Sherwin Williams HGTV brand and they had to put extra coats on the ceiling. Please note that at one time I overheard them talking about having to finally throw away the roller brush they were using as it had seen better days. Perhaps it was the worn out roller and not the paint that was partially to blame for the exceedingly long time it took them to paint the kitchen. I'm also sorry that one of the painters had a torn rotator cuff that made painting the ceiling difficult. I don't like to stand over people while they are working, but the incessant talking and aswering of their cell phones made me walk into the kitchen twice. Both times one of the painters was standing with a paint brush in his hand, just talking to the other. When they left, I had to finish painting the trim in the kitchen..they forgot to do 2 - 3 foot sections on the floor. I put a second coat behind the stove, as the roller did not completely cover up the old paint. I also had to remove paint spatter from the counter and the microwave In the last 1/2 hour they did a great job of painting a 2 inch trim around the living dining area that I could not get to and they touched up some spots on the walls. I have had other painters in who cost both more and less, but none were as slow or as mediocre. My feeling is YES they can do a good job, but they did not do a good job nor were they professional in their attitude and time management.

I had the Big Deal Purchase for exterior painting for $999 for a painter for a week. I paid a little bit extra to get small work done than they thought it would be possible. I was so surprised that they were so responsive and finished the work early which was good. Everybody was very friendly and the guy told upfront that they would try to all the work that I wanted done but they did not think that maybe it was not possible to get everything done so I kind of knew that so I told them they could take more time if they wanted to. But other than that the quality was not excellent but it was good.

I had ordered 2 closet kits on line and needed a carpenter to install them in the Master Bedroom of my condominium. I knew it was a job that I wouldn't be able to do. The carpenter sent by Sheldon and Sons was excellent. He was professional, courteous, hard working and did an outstanding job. I couldn't believe how wonderful my closet looked. My closet looks as good if not better than the ones you see advertised by the companies on the internet. He cleaned up everything before he left. I am so pleased with the final results of my project. I also used Sheldon and Sons to paint my condominium prior to moving in and they also did a fabulous job. I would use them again in the future. Their employees are outstanding, the work is superior, and the pricing is reasonable for the job. You won't be disappointed.

Scheduling was not a problem. They were very careful and had all the supplies such as plastic to protect everything. They covered and moved the furniture. They also worked around a huge china cabinet that I did not want moved. The pricing was also reasonable. They were really wonderful to work with.

I have used Sheldon once before and they definitely will use them again. They consistently do an outstanding job.

It was great. Everything was completed in the time frame except the windows. He explained that the windows would take 24 hours to dry really well and as the temperature was 15 degrees outside we opted not to take them out to paint!!

The estimator was on time, extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. It took a little longer to receive the estimate than I had expected, but we did ask for a very detailed estimate. Unfortunately, we had an emergency repair come up that will be eating into our "fun" money, so we aren't able to have the painting done at this time. We will definitely call Sheldon & Sons again when we are able to paint!

Showed up on time. He was very focused and painted bothrooms under 8 hours. My painter was Orlando. He did good work, however he did miss a spot that needed to be spackled before painting. He just painted over it. It's not noticable though because of that area in my bedroom only I would see. I will have them back to do additional work so when that happens I will have them fix it. I would recommend them to anyone.

We accepted their proposal and they called immediately, scheduling the job for the next day. I said I could not be ready by the next day but was pressured into letting them come (my fault for not firmly saying NO; she was extremely persistent). I was assured they would be completely independent and would match up all paint. I had not picked out a color for the door and had to work so just didn't pick a color out. They were done in one and a half days--a good thing--but left and said they would not come back for the door since I hadn't picked a color. They also did not want to fix some peeling/flaking areas they had painted; my husband pointed these out and was told he was wrong. He was even told that cedar shingle houses shouldn't be painted! (the house was painted before we ever moved in) They did fix the flaky areas. So they left. I emailed their office with these concerns and got a reply of--sorry 'bout that. Send rest of payment. I asked for a 3 year guarantee first--they had left this off the proposal--and this was added to our agreement. I sent payment minus the amount for the door. I felt like I got the bum's rush. I thought this was a family business but our experience was that they sent a crew who quickly, but not necessarily meticulously or pleasantly, did the job and left. We are not dissatisfied with the job done, but feel we were treated poorly. Maybe they need to step up their customer service.

We've used Sheldon and Sons a couple of times now, always with great results. They are prompt in coming to give us estimates. They come to do the service when they say they will. They painted our basement this past year and it looks great - even a year later. I was very pleased with the professionalism of the crew. Great company to work with.
