Description of Work: paint all walls and ceilings on two floors for a total living area of 1500 sqft

Description of Work: I previously hired them to paint some of the exterior of my house, and they did a fine job at a fair price. Last summer I hired them to clean and stain a wooden fence of about 180 feet total length. The cleaning went well, and they did a bit more clean up based on my feedback. There was a problem with them applying the wrong stain to the fence based on an unfortunate misunderstanding. Since the work was already done and difficult to redo at that time, we made a subsequent contract to perform a second cleaning and staining in the future at a discounted price. They were cordial and fair to rectify the problem. I have not yet had the second job performed yet.

Description of Work: The painter was here for four days and refinished and painted a double sized entrance door. He repaired and painted a large number of cracks, nail pops and stains in a number of walls. He also caulked several windows. The work was beautifully performed. The result looked as if the house was brand new. The painter (Walter) was a true artist. He worked quickly and efficiently and the results were truly wonderful. This was my second round of services provided by Sheldon and Sons and I was completely satisfied. I most strongly recommend them to my friends and will definitely have them perform work for me in the future.

Description of Work: Clean, light repair around door frames and fresh paint on all wood trim, shutters and doors as well as concrete base of house. |The team took two full days and they were very thorough. Some areas of concern (due to severe weathering and lack of protection or prior maintenance) were treated a second or even a third time in order to achieve the appropriate results. Very pleased with the team assigned to my job and would request them again.

Description of Work: This is the third time I used Sheldon & Sons to paint and highly recommend them. This time it was for 2 bedrooms and a bath. Their estimates are clear and concise. They provide the materials and paint and make it easy to pick out the paint. They do a great job in a timely manner.

Description of Work: Painted Powder room, foyer and one wall in living room. |This work was done, before I signed up with Angie's list. |The office lady scheduling the work was nice. However, the painters were not very professional. I got the feeling, they were sub contractors.

Description of Work: Replaced gear in the motor lift. Repaired defective light. Fixed loose doors and oiled all tracks. The doors now work like new.

Description of Work: They were punctual, professional and brought more than enough guys to finish the job. They worked with us when severe weather compressed our timeline by forcing them home early due to heavy snow and finished the work before we moved into the house. The work they did on the walls looked great. No complaint there, our only complaint was the paint that did not make it onto the wall. There were paint drips all over the house, including large amounts on the carpet in the basement. I imagine this was because there were 8 or 9 people in the basement painting at the same time, trying to meet the timeline. When this issue was brought to their attention, they assured me that they would contact the foreman and get back to me. I never heard from them again. I didn't push the issue because we will be replacing that carpet in short order anyway. I appreciated their near herculean efforts to finish the job on time, I just wish some more care would have been given to the floors and some response would have been made to address the issue. Outside of that one issue, there were no other problems.

Description of Work: Painted crown molding in 3 bedrooms and repainted walls from ceiling to chair rail in the 3 bedrooms. Work done on time and still looks good.

Description of Work: They came to paint 2 sides of our house outside, cedar shingles painted same color. Did not want to correct bumpy places they painted; actually argued with my husband about it--"you shouldn't have cedar shingles on a house this old." Also, the person who called to set up the app't bullied me into having them come the next day (my fault, I need to say NO to people like this). Because I had not picked out the color for the front door they just left after they painted the house--one day rush job.
