We had some small issues regarding their attention to detail, but for the most part, it was a good experience.

They were very prompt. They did what they said they were going to do when they said they were going to do it. It didn't take them any longer than they said it would take them. It took them a little less time. The job went pretty good. They were okay. They were very neat and they did it promptly. The fellow that quoted us quoted us fairly easily. Everything just went very smoothly. We would use them again in the future.

Project went very well. Took over a week, but resulting work was well worth it. My wife & I very pleased when job was completed. All specifications of original estimate/proposal were met. The painters were professional, honest, and very conscientious. They cleaned up at the end of each day; almost as if they hadn't been there. Most importantly, the price was fair and, overall, turned out to be a great value. It's tough w/ a job of this size inconveniencing the household for a week, but Sheldon & Sons made it as stress-free as possible. The fact that they could provide many fxns (painting, carpentry, drywall repair) made it easier to let them do the whole job. I would strongly suggest Sheldon & Sons.

Crew of two, ( Alex & Roger) arrived at 0900 hrs, I met up with them and went over the areas that I wanted addressed and what colors went where. They soon went to work scraping old paint from wooded railings and minor repair work in progress, did first coat on everything on the first day. 2nd day was rained out, they did a job elsewhere that was inside. 3rd day, arrived at 0900 hrs and continued to paint and repair, finished everything on the 4th day, I am so pleased with the final product, has dressed up House to a little tropical getaway, will have them come back in Spring to do phase II, when weather gets better. Crew was very professional and worked well together, their talent is admired and want them back for my next project.

Paul came in to give us an estimate and was very thorough. He even gave us some painting tips for things we were working on ourselves. He gave us an itemized estimate so that we could pick which services we wanted. They were able to get us a rush job, which helped us out a lot. The painters showed up right on time and got right to work. The quality of the work was great. They were cleaned up and on their way within 6 hours. It was a great experience and I would recommend them.

There was absolutly no issues from the time of extimating until time of completion. Very responsive to my calls, all workmen on the job were very professional, respectful, were on time. We have had nothing but complements from our friends and neighbors. We have recommended Sheldon & Son to anyone that asked who did our work. Our Kitchen portion of the project was highlighted in a magazine that showed the excellent drywall and painting done by this company. I would never hesitate to recommend this cmpany to anyone

My experience with the estimator and carpenters was great. However the painters fell short. There were several issues with the quality of work, thoroughness, and understanding of the job. I suspect that the paint color they were matching isn't quite right either. I also was given less than 24 hours notice of the work (after waiting a few months) and had no indication that the painting was beginning immediately after the power wash. After talking to the president, all of the issues were resolved.

Sheldon & Sons were very professional at first. The estimator came out on time and we received an emailed estimate within two days. Everything looked good with the estimate, I just had a few questions (start date, if the Angie's List discount applied and shutter touch up). I replied to the estimate with my questions and was told the estimator would contact me. When I didn't hear from the estimator for a few days, I replied again to the emailed quote with my cell phone number and tried calling the estimator's cell phone but was unable to reach him. I never did hear back from the estimator, so I had to give the job to someone else. I still have not heard back a month later.

Paul the estimator arrived on time and was very professional, courteous, and thorough. He left the estimate on a form in a professional folder and business card. When it was time to start the work, I mailed in the signed document with credit card information. Business office is very professional and courteous. Even when you require exact colors for Homeowners Association purposes, Sheldon will pick up the paint for you. Cost estimate was the lowest among 3 others received. Day of painting: A crew of two men arrived on time and also verified what was to be done based on the estimate. They were very professional and screwed in my shutters after they had come a little loose during the winter. The painters did an outstanding job. All trim work was expertly performed, almost in an old world craftsman way. No paint spills, no paint on the brick exterior, etc. I am proud of the way my home looks.

The company was asked to estimate painting the church steeple and then the outside of the parsonage. My husband, the pastor of the church, later remembered that Sheldon and Sons had been asked to estimate the same job about two or more years ago, but the trustees put a stop on the project. We really can't blame them for not wanting to give an estimate on a job that seems will never be done.

Gary initally had to postpone the estimate twice but communicated and rescheduled quickly. There was back and forth with us changing the work being done (adding additional work) and the detail on the estimate of the scope of work. This was all eventually worked out. They were great in getting the job done before the holidays with short notice. The workmen were wonderful and excellent in their craft. The walls, ceilings and trim look terrific. I would recommend them to anyone and would use them again.

There was a problem with the bathroom because it had mold and it needed special type of paint. They came out three times to complete the job correctly. They did not ask any questions or argue with me.

We have maintained this fencing for 11 years. Many of the sections have suffered a breakdown in the paint system leading to a delamination and peeling. We decided to select a new paint contractor this year to deal with this problem. Sheldon and Sons was selected after going through a rigorous selection process. A two man crew performed the work over a two week period. They were incredibly meticulous and professional. They even used a generator and vacuum to clean up all of the paint chips produced from the scraping. Since our fence maintenance is a continuing project, we will bring this firm back next year to perform similar work on additional fencing.

We've used Sheldon & Sons before for interior, exterior painting jobs. I wasn't aware that they could do this repair, and then finish up - all in 1 job. Thrilled to find out they do many things in addition to painting. Nice when 1 vendor can do several projects. Understand they now install & replace windows, so very excited about that.

They were fantastic! The painting job was done with great attention to detail, they cleaned up their mess, and they were polite, friendly, and easy to work with.

They were extremely professional, from the time they gave me their estimate to completion of the job. They did what they said they were going to do, and the work was fantastic. I was able to get the work scheduled very soon after the initial estimate, which was a problem with other contractors. The only negative I would have to say was that a majority of the job was quoted as an hourly rate, and the job took longer than expected, so it was a bit more money than I had originally anticipated. But the job they did was top notch, and I feel like I got what I paid for with the job. I would definitely recommend using them to anyone who has an older house with plaster work to be done.

I had originally thought I could do this paint job myself, but in the process of removing glue from walls I punched a couple nice holes in the drywall (long, embarrassing story). I called Sheldon & Sons desperate for someone to come out soon to fix the mess I made. They were able to get an estimator out that day, and were able to start work the day after that. Painters were here for almost 12 hours. They repaired my damage, plus completed some other small repairs in the walls, primed everything, and painted. There was a mixup in what I wanted for color (I had told painter #1, but painter #2 didn't understand #1's directions, then #1 left), but the painters fixed it on the same day, and the office adjusted my bill so as not to charge me for the time taken painting the wrong colors or the time needed to fix the colors. (The original estimate was 5 - 8 hours, and we agreed on me paying 9 instead of the 11.5 they took because of this error.) The final work looked very professional, and the bathroom was left cleaner than when they started. The painters were very friendly and accommodating, they were nice to my kids who kept wanting to peek in the bathroom to see the progress that had been made. I went from despair from my ruined bathroom to relief and happiness not 36 hours later. Despite the bill being higher than the estimate, I still think it was good value - this was a hard painting job because of the height of the room, and I appreciate them being able to do it and make it look so nice. I've painted the rest of my house on my own, but nothing with such high ceilings. No way could I have made this look as good as they did.

All went well. Foreman came out for estimate, work scheduled, cancelled twice for rain, and then completed very well.

Overall everything was great. The crew was nice and worked very hard. I'd definitely use them again.

However I still have not gotten an estimate from them and it has been over 10 days.

Quality of work was excellent.The men were neat and cleaned up the work area. I would hire them again.

The outcome was great. During the job, they kept me updated of their progress. They were able to get into all the tight spaces considering there was a deck next to the fence. I would give them my highest recommendation without any hesitation. They were prompt, professional and completed the job without any issues. When the job was completed, the workers made sure everything was in order and there was no mess for me to clean.

Overall, it went well. I would use Sheldon again, despite them being a little pricey.

Scott came to my house gave us an estimate for the paint job and a time they would start. Started the job on time. Moved the furniture and did a very nice, clean job. When completed said if we have any problems let him know. Very happy that we gave the job to Sheldon and Sons. I would recommend this company to everyone and we will use them again.

They did everything that they were supposed to do and some extra. It looked like everything was brand new.They took a lot of pride in their work.I would use them again and recommend them.The workers were perfectionists.
