We had dirt and debris removed from the exterior of our home...also cleaned the shed. Looks like new! Very efficient and professional. Reasonably priced. Highly recommend.

The contacts with staff, by phone and email, were excellent. The two men who did the painting did an excellent job, and on top of that were friendly and had good senses of humor (something important to this "landlord").

Overall very professional. However the bay window has dripping paint and needs to be repainted.

FREE estimate in May. Due to extremely rainy summer painting was not done until August;Well worth the wait. Two man crew professional and friendly. Covered all plants to prevent paint from getting on them. Cleaned up area after painting. Painting took 3 days to complete. KUDOS Tony for a job well done.

Scott and his team were fantastic from start to finish. While I had another bid that was $100 lower, these guys clearly had better quality paint, were more professional, timely, and trustworthy in your home. You could tell the guys had years of experience, and knew the best way to get the job done right with as little disruption to our home as possible. Oustanding job, and I'd use them again anytime! Highly recommended.

Great. These guys are high=end, experienced, professional painters. Not only do they show up when they say they are going to, but they are clean and neat and make sure everything is put back the way it was when they arrived. I changed my mind about the color of paint I wanted at the very last minute and they were flexible and easy to make the change. The lead painter was responsive to all of my requests and my husband, who is very detail-oriented, thought they did a fantastic job. I recommend them to all my friends, family and colleagues. Great people to work with!

Painters did a excellent job; Scheduling was a nightmare. Twice scheduled and no show or no call to let us know they weren't coming. The third time they tried outsourcing the job to another painting contractor. When we realized what they were doing and made a call to the owner. This resolved the scheduling and subcontractor issues and the paint crew arrived with 2 weeks of my call. We loved the finished work and would like to give them more work. Waiting four months was just too long.

All of the plaster repairs failed, they repaired it as if it were drywall and there is a huge difference between the two. When painting, they did not cover outlets or put up barriers when sanding. The two men that came out were friendly, but the overall quality of the work was very rough. It seemed to me that there was a big disconnect between the salesman and the workers and the expectations that I had for the company based on their reviews and what the salesman had set.

I contacted Scott Sheldon at Sheldon and Sons based on an Angie's List review. He visited our home within a couple of days to talk about the work and develop an estimate. He provided several dates for the work to be done, and on the appointed day, his crew showed up on time and ready to work. Scott told me to expect the entire job to be finished in one day, even though the ceiling, trim and door required painting prior to the installation of the wallpaper. The grasscloth I ordered online was somewhat delicate, but the installer was extremely careful and the work was flawless. The crew cleaned up and was out the door by 4:00 in the afternoon. I would definitely use Sheldon and Sons again in the future. I was very impressed with their professionalism and the quality of their work. This was not a large project, but it was important to me and I was very pleased with the results. I would recommend Sheldon and Sons without hesitation.

I've used them before and went back to them for this project. We haven't had any trouble with any of their work since they came last year.

Working with Scott and Jim was a wonderful and seamless experience. Their knowledge, expertise, punctuality, work ethic, and overall good-natured personalities made this daunting project fun! We absolutely endorse Sheldon and Sons, and we look forward to working with Scott and Jim again soon! They made our home look beautiful!

We were new to the area, and I got three estimates before choosing them for the job. All the estimates were similar in price, but chose them since had the best "feeling" about them when meeting them at our house. The first team of painters showed up on time, did the work, and at first glance things looked okay and I paid for the service. However, after they left I looked closely at their work and realized that it was a shoddy job, with some windows not reglazed properly, with big gaps in the glazing, and painted areas not prepped well (not enough scraping and sanding of the old paint and loose old paint painted over with new paint, no weepholes, etc). I immediately called them and the apologized and sent another crew over a few days later, since apparently the previous guy was no longer working for them. There was not much improvement after the second crew came, so I called again. Days later another crew was sent, and this guy seemed to care less than the previous guy and left a paint mess in our yard. After calling them again, and demanding a better job be done, they sent over someone who knew what he was doing and finished the job. I've had other exterior areas of our house painted since, and was much more satisfied with the work performed.

We got several estimates on the work and decided to go with Sheldon & Sons. Walter and his team were running about 30 minutes late the first day but called to let us know. I never had a contractor do that before. Project went smoothly and was done in 8 days. I have already recommended to my mother for the painting of her house. Exceptional work, very detail oriented exceeded my expectations.

My neighbor recommended Sheldon and Sons so I thought they would be a reliable choice. The initial experience was good. They came out to provide and estimate right away. I thought it was a little high but it was also a lot of work so was ok with it. I had to go out of town for a few weeks after that. So about 2 weeks went by before I called back to accept the estimate to move forward. That is when everything fell apart. After 3 calls with no return call, I finally got through and they explained that there had been a death in the family. So I waited another week before calling back. I have placed 6 more calls. Got 2 responses where the person promised they would get back to me right away. Still have had no response. Now it's late in the season. I gave up. They could have at least return my calls. Very unprofessional. I would never call them again.

They never showed up for estimate. I called them twice. They said on there way. They never showed. I waited for them all day.

Very good. Came for estimate as stated. Crew arrived on time, went over the entire job very professional and good.

We interviewed 3 companies with "A" ratings on Angies List, and Sheldon & Sons impressed us from the beginning. When they came to do the estimate, they also provided, without being asked, their licensing information as well as a list of references that we could contact for information. On the day of the job, we discovered that we had forgotten to have to ceiling painted as well, but they were very accommodating in adding additional work to the project, sending someone to buy the paint while the remaining prep work was done. We will definitely use them again.

Mr. Sheldon and receptionist are very friendly and helpful. Painters were punctual, friendly, clean and efficient. Job was done with care and in detail.

We called Sheldon and Sons because we had used them before and were very satisfied. After our most recent experience, however, I doubt we'll ever use them again. The painting went well until they got to the guest bedroom, the last item on their list. The bedroom has a vaulted ceiling and I knew that was beyond my husband and my capabilities. I was downstairs in the kitchen when they said they were finished and the workers left our home. Because we'd had such good luck with them in the past, it never occured to me to go upstairs and check the bedroom. That was a big mistake. When I went upstairs I saw that they'd taken the blinds and window treatments down and left them in the hallway. The bed had been pulled several feet away from the wall - understandable because they had to paint behind the bed of course - and the bed was left in the middle of the room. Other furniture had also been pulled away from the wall and not replaced. My husband and I are in our 60's and are not strong enough to move the furniture back so we had to call Sheldon and Sons to make a special trip out to move the furniture and re-hang the window treatments. If they left the furniture away from the walls because they didn't want the furniture to touch the freshly painted surfaces, then they should have made arrangements to come back another time. That could have been explained to me and I would understand. But they just walked out, with my check in hand I might add, as if everything had been finished. Too bad. Update: Scott Sheldon contacted me personally about this, and I'm satisfied with our conversation. Based on that, my husband is considering Sheldon and Sons for another painting project in our home.

They were very satisfactory. Everything went well. They painted the whole house. They did any nail repair, if there were any holes or anything they fixed it. Their reputation is that they are pricey but I found them to be quite satisfactory.

They did an excellent job. The staff was on-time, courteous and professional. The work was completed as expected without any problems. I felt safe with them around my children. We would hire them again.
