Arbormasters Tree and Landscape

The snow caused a lot of scheduling issues. Randy is very busy and can be a little difficult to reach from time to time but I had no issues. His office staff (Amy) was very responsive to e-mails and would relay critical info to Randy as needed. I had no complaints. His crew came while I was at work, I came home but had just missed them. There were a few branches I felt could have also been cut. I called Randy and he immediately had his crew turn around and come back to finish the work to my satisfaction. Randy is very honest, professional, and honorable. A few things he kept saying to me that resonated with me are, "I want you to feel like we did a good job, you're happy with our work, and feel like you got a good value". Randy not only talks the talk but he walks it as well. I would not hesitate to use Randy again or recommend him to friends/family.

Very professional. Was hard to connect with, but it was the holidays. Delivered as promised, when promised. Would definitely use Mr. Bernstein's services again.

Scheduling an estimate was a difficult process. After three attempts at trying to get someone to come and give an estimate, a process that took about a month, we began looking at other companies. Eventually Arbor Masters did schedule a time to do an estimate and we went with them. I don't know if they were just too busy at this time of year (late summer), but more effort should be put into getting back to potential customers. The job was scheduled but due to a string of bad weather it needed to be rescheduled three times. When they did come they did a good job of trimming all the dead limbs and cleaning up after they left. They finished in under a few hours which surprised us because we were told the job would take all day. This company is pricier than their competition but they do a thorough job and they did comp some extra pruning because of the rescheduling problems. They also did review the overall health of our trees, letting us know they were in good shape. But since it took us about three months from first contact to job completion I would suggest allowing for plenty of lead time.

Arbormasters removed a tree in our front yard. They were very responsive, extremely knowledgeable and went above and beyond in temporarily removing, and then replanting, the plants that were to be affected by removing the tree. They did a great job and we are very, very pleased.

- Easy to deal with for scheduling. - Very responsive to our calls. - Prompt for estimate appointment and for day work performed. - Very thorough and accurate explanation of their plans for trimming the very large River Birch in our yard; remove deadwood down to strong lead shoots, open up interior of tree, minimize overhang over house, annual fall fertilization. Also removed some small evergreens. - Took precautions to avoid damage to our and neighbors plantings with their equipment. Something that I have not seen with other yard contractors. - Exceptional clean up. Took away more leaves and sticks than they produced!

The tree pruning service went very well. It was very easy to set up an appointment and set up a date for the service. Emails and phone calls were returned promptly and the customer service was helpful. Would use their service again.

All tree trimming and removal work was accomplished in a professional and quick manner. All tree branches and debris were removed and feed through the chipper and the work site cleaned-up. Arbormasters had all of the right equipment and experienced professionals to accomplish the task. Randy Bernstein, the owner of Arbormasters has always been the epitome of professionalism and courtesy and I highly recommend Arbormasters.

They came on time, trimed the trees and cleaned up all the cuttings from the tree. Very professional.

Job went very smoothly. We have used Arbormasters several times over the last seven years. They are a very professional company. They always provide a written estimate which describes the work in detail, and they stand by their estimate. Also, they never climb a tree using spikes unless the entire tree is to be taken down. Using spikes damages the tree, and many so-called tree companies ignore this fact. Arbormasters always uses a bucket truck or ladders to access limbs so that the main trunk is not damaged.

Arbormasters has provided my tree maintenance and landscaping needs for many years. They have always done an exceptional job and provide prompt, professional and courteous service. The crews show up on time, work hard and do high quality work. Their clean-up at job completion is outstanding. Most recently , they trimmed shrubbery, weeded ,edged and mulched and did a terrific job. Even surprised me with some extra weeding......a real plus!

Randy and his crew are very professional. I have used Arbormaster for years. They do excellent work and leave the grounds in better shape than when they arrived.

They showed up promptly with a large crew, all appropriately dressed with safety equipment. The work proceeded ahead of the timeline that they'd given us and they would have been finished earlier had the logging truck been able to get there earlier. They swept up as much fallen leave and branches as humanly possible and left the site better than they found it.

Mr. Randy Bernstein of Arbormaster was very thorough in looking over the work to be done & assessing the situation with both the immediate issue & other requests for tree work. Mr. Bernstein provided an itemized proposal and adjusted it after discussion. All paperwork was created & delivered promtly & timely. This is in comparison with two other contractors contacted. One did not return my call, the other was not eager to look at the situation & provide an estimate. Mr. Bernsten was interested, came out promply, was thorough & professional at all times & at all times courteous. He was accomodating on timing & quickly informed me of schedule changes. Mr. Bernstein was responsive always returing my calls promptly & answering all questions. Mr. Bernstein put my property first in working with BGE contractors and ensured that minimal extraneous damage would be encurred on my grounds by protecting the lawn and other parts of the property. Arbormasters needed to take down part of my fence to get to the work site and that was done cleanly & cleanly reinstated. I am entirely statisfied with my experience with Arbormaster from intial contact to the process with Amy Tochterman in the home office. Wish all my dealings with contractors could be so smooth, efficient, thorough. They really do put the customer first in my experience.

They did a good job. I think their price was reasonable. They took down a tree that had fallen and also they did a little bit of yard work but I didn't think they cleared the stump as well as I would like them. The communication was okay. I called them and it was while before they called me back but other than that, it was okay.

Cut down tree in timely manner with complete cleanup.

Randy and the staff of Arbormasters are consummate professionals. Randy, the owner, visited our home and gave us a written estimate. We received the estimate and called back to confirm that we wanted the service completed. On 3/1/12, Randy called to schedule and complete service on 2 March. He and his staff arrived at approximately 8 am and quickly and safely begn setting their ropes and climbing and pruning our trees. It was very obvious that Randy and his employees are a team of professionals.. They got along very well. The employees were very courteous and helpful to my family and each other. They took special care in moving our belongings and in meticulously clearing all of the debris. During the pruning, men on the ground worked quickly to clear all the debris. They even raked up leaves and removed some other fallen materials in the work area.. They left the job site looking better than it was when they started.. All were knowledgeable about trees - true arborists. The crew also removed a tree that had fallen on to one of our oaks from an adjacent property. I believe Randy has been in business for 30 years or more and many of the employees have been with the company for 15 years or more. Randy even coordinated with a local business to allow us to park our cars at their facility. Because of their commitment to doing the job right and going above and beyond what I ever expected, I would recommend them for any job. Even if you have to wait to get the work scheduled. You may get someone to do the work for a lower price, but I assure you it's worth the wait and the money. .

Once you can get on their schedule, Arbormasters is a great outfit to work with. The owner, Randy Bernstein, came out to do the estimate. We have worked with them before and expected cordial treatment,. which we got. Considering the experience and qualifications of their team, Arbormasters offer competitive pricing. On the day of the job, they showed up on time, went over the details of our requirements, and did a superlative job. Friendly, courteous workers, cleaned up well, it went well beyond our expectations.

My main problem was getting in contact with anyone. Frequently no on would answer the office phone. If I did reach someone and left a message, no one would call back. The actual work was well done and they did what I asked them to do. A part of the tree was dropped and broke part of my fence, but they repaired the fence. The best part was, they didn't ask for any form of payment until after the work was done, so despite some delays, I didn't get anxious about my $!

We have to get back with them. They let us prioritize and plan the work that we want done. We can itemize a list of everything. They let us pick and choose. This way we don't have to do everything on the list.

It was really great working with this company and its owner, Randy Bernstein. His was one of three estimates---not only was it the lowest, but he did the most thorough assessment of my property. He is clearly very knowledgeable and professional. Unlike one of the other companies, who told me that I would have to get my neighbor's permission for the workers to access my property through her driveway, Randy took care of everything and even gave her a little pruning for her inconvenience. She was very pleased. The job on all accounts was very well done and pleasing to the eye. I will definitely use Arbormasters in the future and do not hesitate to recommend them.

We started out planning to have the giant tree pruned. However, after inspecting the tree, Randy (the company owner) said that even if we had it trimmed, it would probably not last more than another year or two. We had known for a while that it wasn't doing well, so I guess this did not come as a surprise to us. Considering the expense of having it trimmed, then taken down a few years later, we decided to remove the tree. Also, since we had recently had a tree fall on our house, causing considerable damage, we did not want to risk that happening again. Arbormasters gave us a very detailed estimate, and they explained everything that would be done. I did not get other estimates, because I have used Arbormasters, as well as other tree companies, in the past and trusted their knowledge and skill. Because the tree was so large, and so close to the house, I wanted someone that really knew what they were doing. On the day of the job, they brought in a huge crane, several trucks, and about 10 men to the site. They really tried to do as little damage as possible to the garden and plantings in our yard. Their work was very precise and seemed well-coordinated. It was actually fascinating watching the work, although I was very sad to see the huge old tree go. The tree was cut into sections (most as large as a good-sized tree) and lowered to the ground, where it was cut into smaller pieces. I was amazed at how little damage was done to our yard, considering the size of the tree and the small space they were working in. After the 2 trees were taken down and the others trimmed, the crew cleaned every stick out of the yard, cleaned up the sawdust, swept the patio, and walked us around the yard to inspect the work. Overall, I was very happy with the work that was done. The crew seemed knowledgeable and worked well together. The work was done professionally and neatly. They left very little sign of the huge equipment and many men that were working there. I would definitely recommend them.
