The quality of the work appears to be excellent, and the team doing the work were knowledgeable and professional. This is the second time I have used Fichtner, and they seem to pay attention to detail and do the job right the first time.

High quality work and done on time. This is not the first time I have used them. I have used them on residential as well as commercial building work. They have come out in a driving rainstorm to do a temporary repair on a two story roof to keep the rain damage down. They came out the next dry day to do the permanent repair. I have recommended them to numerous friends because of their competence and trustworthiness. Tom Fichtner put the roof on the house that I built in the year 2000 and it has survived several hurricanes. When he started the job he never asked for one penny. So different then the other roofers in this area who want a big deposit and don't come back for months..if they come back at all. He has since expanded his line of work but i trust his company with anything. he personally stands behind all his work.

We hired Fichtner to replace the roof on my mom's house. The estimate was short and to the point. It was refreshing to deal with a company who actually listened to our needs and came up with a plan to meet them without trying to oversell us. It's obvious this company has integrity and is confident in it's ability to deliver quality service for a reasonable price. The job proceeded exactly as planned. The workmen were professional and on time. Care was taken to protect the rest of the house while the work was being done, and when the crew left, they cleaned up after themselves. We haven't found a single roofing nail in the grass. The new roof looks great and we are very happy. We plan to call Fichtner again when we are ready to replace our own roof!

Excellent experience with Fichtner Services. I owe thanks to Stacey Manis from SHM Designs for telling me about Fichtner. She said they are the only roofer she would consider (she provided the architectural design for my new porch). Fichtner had done the roof on her commercial building. The Fichtner office staff was totally dependable and always there to answer the phone. Scott Geesey came to our house to take measurements and explain all the issues. We got a better explanation from him about how a ridge vent works and why the side gable vents need to be closed off than we previously got from other vendors. He gave us samples and took the time to advise us on what our house needed. Later, he gave us addresses to ride by to see various shingles on real houses. And then he had his team come out and put actual shingles on my carport roof so I could see the products in situ. That was so important because one color that I was considering actually had a green tinge, which did not show on the sample. All of this helped us make a final decision with confidence and we got a great looking roof. Their price was in line with other estimates. Ray Harvey was the supervisor on the job and worked very hard to make sure every little detail was right. Terrific guy; can?t thank him enough. We like that the company is licensed and bonded. A year later in 2015, while a dead tree was being taken down by a commercial firm, a large limb hit the carport and ripped off some of the gutter. Fichtner came back and fixed it and the tree firm paid for the repair. Fichtner is a company that does good work and can be trusted. And they provide service so you can have confidence that you understand the product and the process.

From arriving on time for the original inspection to showing up to do the work, Fichtner Services was by far the best roofing contractor I worked with. I had a total of 5 contractors I contacted. One never showed, despite several reschedules, one showed but never provided a written estimate (and despite repeated contacts to get one. I don't get that. They didn't want the work?), and the other two provided estimates that were about $1600 apart. (Fichtner's estimate was in between these two) The contractor with the lowest bid never followed up with some questions I had to break out their costs so I could compare and the high bid kept trying to sell me on their lifetime work warranty being the reason it was higher. Working with Fichtner Services was so hassle free compared with these other guys. I worked with Mike for the estimate and he was a total professional, working with me, answering my questions promptly, often at night after working hours. The estimate provided was very cost competitive and fair and because of his responsiveness and the general feeling I had working with him, I decided to go with Fichtner and I was not disappointed. The crew showed up on time and promptly began work. They worked non-stop and did an outstanding job keeping the yard clean, getting up all falling material. Very professional and the crew supervisor, Jan, was great. While I can't get up and actually view inspect it, it looks outstanding from the street. I did get up in my attic to inspect where there was some daylight creeping thru and that was all fixed up. The office personnel, from Stacie and Alex to Bonnie, answered emails promptly and were very friendly and courteous when I spoke with them on the phone. As many out there know, it's a hassle finding contractors that do good work for a fair price and there are a lot of us who've been burned by substandard work. You will not be disappointed with Fichtner Services.

I fell for the Reliable Roofers $199 "Roof Tune-up" sham when I had a gutter that was loose on the back side of the house. They came out for less than 30 minutes, put some caulk on a flashing and left me a $650 estimate to fix the gutter and "rotting" fascia board. Wary, I called Fichtner Services. Kevin West came out to look at the gutter and give us a reasonable estimate for replacing the gutters, took a picture of the fascia board so we could see that it was fine, and while he was up on the roof re-secured the gutter. Now that is service! Do not call un"Reliable" or purchase the "Roof Tune Up" scam! Call Fichtner for real service. When we replace the gutters we will be calling them.

First off, Mike Bafford is the MAN!!! It's tough for me and my wife to decide on pretty much anything. If you're one of those folks that's able to make a decision in two minutes flat...good for you...but it takes us weeks....and I mean weeks for our family to come to a decision. We had Mike over multiple times with samples and he was gracious enough to tack them on the the existing roof to give us the best idea of what we had in store. Mike always showed up on time, was always polite, and never made up feel like we were wasting his time. His pricing strategy was fair, and we knew exactly what we were getting. The day of the install was flawless. Ray was about the nicest guy I've every met in the construction business. He ensured everything happened as planned, and let me tell you...my yard is cleaner now than when they arrived!!! I can't remember ever having a better experience with a contractor.

Excellent all around experience from start to finish. Professional and efficient. I would use Fichtner again as well as recommend them to friends and family.

Fichtner Services repaired our tree damaged roof quickly and seamlessly. I would not hesitate hiring them for any future roofing work.

Based on favorable Angie's List reviews, we contacted Fichtner Services to install gutter guards to prevent a buildup of leaves in the gutters and for a recommendation to prevent birds from entering the chimney and falling into the fireplace, which had happened recently. Leaf Relief gutter guards were installed, and wire mesh screening was applied to the chimney cap to deter the birds. The crew cleaned up very nicely with no debris left lying around. We were not at home when the work was completed, and did not have an opportunity to interact with the Fichtner crew. We coordinated the work with Stacie and Meghan in the office, and both were extremely pleasant and helpful during our phone conversations. Prior to sending the final bill, we were contacted by Fichtner to ensure our satisfaction with the work that was completed. This extra step was much appreciated and demonstrated a sincere desire to please the customer. We would not hesitate to contact them again for future needs.

Mike Bafford came out to do the initial inspection. He was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. We had to plan around another company's timeline (a tree had to be removed, first), but Fichtners was able to work with my schedule--although I had to call to confirm the appointment the working day before rather than the other way around (it was getting late, and I would not be reachable for the rest of the day.) The crew arrived on time, and immediately went to work. They were efficient, considerate, and cleaned up after themselves very well. The new gutters--and guards--look much better, and my husband is relieved that he won't be having to clean out the gutters anymore. We've had a couple of heavy downpours since the roof repair, and so far, no more leak. I plan to call them back to do regular spring roof inspections.

Fichtner Services provided excellent services for a reasonable price. They were recommended by a neighbor and were very prompt in arriving on time to give us an estimate. Their salesman was very professional and very thorough in working with us regarding the scope and details of the work to be performed and explaining options. The workers arrived on time and were very friendly and thorough. They went above and beyond to make sure that we were pleased with the results. After the job was completed they cleaned up completely. Overall a very good experience. The person who came by for the initial inspection was pretty friendly and was not intimidating. He even removed his shoes before I could ask! It was a comfortable experience and I did not feel like anyone was trying to sell me something I didn't need. One minor complaint I have is that the folks handling the e-mails were not always responsive and did not consistently answer my questions - so I would have to ask again in a follow up e-mail. Besides that, great business, and I would do business again with them.

First off Fichtner Services was a referral from my Mom, who was completly satisfied with the work and price. The sales representative Mike that came out was on time and totally professional. He gave me a good explanation of what work needed to be done and was available to added services that I suggested. When the crew came its wasn't a great day, but wasn't bad enough to stop them from working. They easliy made adjustments for obstecules in front of their getting the wood on the roof. Even with percepitation they got the roof done within a reasonable amount of time. I would use them for other services such as the installation of a solar tunnel or attic stairs.

They were outstanding from initial contact through project completion. I have an older home (1903) with a steep roof and 8 dormers. Their estimate was fair and they did quality work. The work was completed in 2 days with rain the night in between. The roof was waterproofed that evening without problem and had I not been home that day, I would not have even known they were at my house they were that clean. There was no cracking of the plaster in my finished attic, I have found only one piece of debris in the two months since the work was completed and the roof looks great. I will definitely use them for future work.

They were very nice. Our roof has not leaked since. They did a good job and left the place clean.

Fichtner Services came highly recommended when I was searching for a company to install a new roof. All the personnel, from Stacie in the office, John, the salesman, Ray, the supervisor, and all the workmen, were very courteous, friendly and went out of their way to insure that all questions were answered, forms explained, and that the work was done in a professional manner. The estimate was fair and the work began and ended in one day. The workcrew came prepared, knew what they were doing and worked hard to do an excellent job. Mr. Harvey was great to work with and even completed some gutter work that needed to be done. The new roof looks great and I appreciate all the good work. Fichtner Services will be my "go to" company for all other household jobs in the future.

Team came out the same day to perform emergency repairs and then came back a week later for permanent repairs. Repairs were done completely and a perfect match. The environment was left clean with no evidence they had been there. Personnel were polite and professional. Office was patient and cooperative.

I have always done my own work to include roofing. After contacting the company for an estimate, everything about this company is first class!! They responded immediately, had a great price, were extremely punctual with getting the roofing job scheduled, and moved like lightning getting the roof done. From start to finish this team ripped off the old roof and installed the new roof in about 7 hours to include all of the ground cleanup. Don't waste your time looking for a better company...these guys ROCK! For the record - we found this company using Angies list and had no previous experiences with any of the company employees

Sean, who is the siding foreman, did a great job of explaining the work that would be done, and assuring that we were comfortable with everything. The team was very experienced. They worked quickly and the work was very high quality. They did an a very thorough job of cleaning up. Our old siding was aluminum with aluminum nails, so the magnets don't work, but since they left, I only found one nail. The house looks great. The trim capping and the molding are very expertly done.

High winds during a snowstorm had ripped off a substantial portion of fascia. The day after calling about their services, the company had an estimator arrive, slightly ahead of the scheduled time. The job required a minimum billing, but this was reasonable given the amount of time and staffing required to do the job. It took a couple weeks to set up the date for service, but this was reasonable in light of the weather. The work crew arrived on time and worked steadily until the job was complete. We are satisfied with the work and will be certain to contact the company the next time we need external improvements done to our home.

We just purchased our first home and needed to replace its aging roof. It would be a small job, about 1700 sq ft of low slopes on our little bungalow. We sought estimates from four different companies, all A-rated SuperService winners here on Angie's List. All gave excellent quotes but Fichtner came in ahead of the others in price by a comfortable margin. Jay, our sales estimator, was the first to visit us and was very personable, informative, and straightforward. I never felt like we were being "sold." He was also very patient and helpful with my many questions and the days we took doing our research and making our choice. Fichtner, of course, has excellent reviews spanning many years, so when their price was the most competitive we felt totally comfortable selecting them. Product and workmanship guarantees were a concern of mine, and Fichtner was able to compete easily, offering us several levels of protection as options. We ultimately chose the GAF Timberline System Plus as the right fit for our budget and needs. This seemed to compete well with the offers from the other companies' supplied (CertainTeed, etc) without hurting the price. Once the contract was signed, the job proceeded as smoothly as can be. We waited about two and a half weeks between signing and the date of service. The crew arrived at around 8am and immediately set to work. We met with Jan, the crew supervisor, several times, and he and the crew were courteous and considerate. They worked nonstop even through an intermittent rain to finish up by about 4pm. They replaced a small amount of rotten planking, but nothing out of the ordinary. The roof took another day of warm temperatures to settle and seal, and now it looks fantastic. We feel proud every time we see it! Fichtner behaved kindly and transparently throughout, I never felt concerned at all about their professionalism. I would happily recommend the company on any roofing job for a comparable home.

Everything was excellent from the initial contact to the last day. Our home was built in 1925 and there was a lot of areas that required extensive repair once the existing shingles and rotted trim was removed. The contract called for add-on charges depending on the amount of labor and material needed for the extra work. In spite of this they did not charge for the additional work! Many contractors try to really gouge you with these open-ended charges but in this case it was the reverse. The workers were polite and professional and took excellent care of the landscaping around our home. In order to replace fascia they had to remove my gutters. While they were down one of the workers hand scraped the inside of my gutters to clean them of any residue. Nobody even asked them to do that!! Clean-up was excellent. When the work was reviewed there was a small punch list which they promptly came back and addressed. As I said everyone in the entire company I contacted was polite and professional and went out of their way to provide excellent customer service. I highly recommend this company!

Fichtner provided roofing services to several houses in the neighborhood. The estimate was very competitive (better than many of the Angie's List "big deal" prices), and we got a 10% discount for going in with our neighbors. I didn't need to be home for the estimate, nor did I have to deal with a long sales pitch, which was great. The Fichtner team scheduled the roof replacement around my work schedule to make sure I wouldn't be home. They cleaned up well and the roof looks great. I'd recommend them to others.
