They did come out. Salesman talked to us and left us some information. We just chose not to use them. They were pleasant enough and seemed knowledgeable enough. It was a salesman rather than a person that would do the work. They were pleasant and professional. It was adequate information. They were here when they said they would be here.

We had some tree limbs fall on our house during a storm in late August. After getting ignored for an estimate by another gutter company I had employed in the past (even after several phone calls to followup), I found Fichtner Services here on Angie's List. I called them, and had an estimate scheduled quickly. Chris came out to the house, looked over the damage, and made some recommendations. I had leaf relief installed on other gutters on my house several years ago, and wanted it on the new gutters. The installation was done very professionally. All in all, very happy with the work. My only complaint (and it would be VERY minor) is the length of time between the estimate and getting the work completed, but I understand that's out of my control.

The technicians were prompt, friendly and thorough. They explained the required work and took cell phone pictures to support their findings. I had confidence they addressed all the issues with our aging roofs.

Roof and gutters were replaced as planned. Skylights were installed. Excellent work!

Entire job was great...salesman Kevin gave a very fair price and good advice on ridge vent and other aspects of the job...field supervisor Ray was terrific and suggested a few changes, like a different drip edge that matched our trim and really improved the appearance. Roofing crew did a great job, both in the installation and cleanup...not a single nail or piece of old shingle was left on the grounds. People in the office were also a pleasure to deal with and the job was done exactly as promised and even sooner than originally scheduled. A first-rate job by a first-rate company!

The job went very well they began on time at 7:30 am and were finished by @ 5:30 pm. The clean up was great as well. I live in a townhouse and they left my yard and my neighbors yards in great condition.

They were clear in their estimate, did the work within a few weeks, and finished the job in one day. They were courteous and pleasant to have on-site. They cleaned up well, and the job foreman came back the next day to double-check and pick up any missed debris. A very nice company to work with.

I got three bids. Fichtner was the most timely and interested in my project. They suggested ways to get what I wanted at the best price. The work took one week, as they estimated. There were no last minute add-ons or problems. The workers were efficient and cleaned up the area each day. There was a supervisor that came daily. The final walk-through came up with a couple of minor issues (found by the supervisor) and corrected the next day. The cost ended up being several thousand less than I expected.

Everything went well. The salesman was very professional and applied no heavy pressure sales techniques. Would do business with this company again. The installers cleaned up afterwards and were very careful with our landscaping.

Workmen were clean and courteous. Office staff was very professional and responded immediately. They have assured me that they will come out if the roof continues to leak.

Fichtner Services replaced our roof, added ridge vents, zinc strips to prevent moss, and replace rain gutters. All parts of the job were well done and finished in a timely manner. Workers cleaned up every day and were careful not to damage shrubbery. The final cost was very close to the estimate. The new gutter system was larger than the original and extra care was taken to ensure the proper connections into the existing drains. All in all an excellent experience with a professional and courteous company.

Everything was handled in a professional manner. The sales rep/estimator went over all of the work to be performed, provided a contract for the services, explained what I needed to cover up because skylights were to be replaced and gave me an estimated time when the work would be performed. Received a call from the Fichtner Services approximately a week before the new roof was to be installed. The crew and supervisor arrived early on the day the work was to be performed and the old roof was removed and the new one was installed. The crew was very careful to protect shrubbery and they left no debris behind. Was contacted by the office to get my input on how everything went. Am very happy with my experience with Fichtner Services.

Service was done beautifully and professionally at a very reasonable price. Their office personnel are also excellent and courteous.

Fichtner was very responsive and courteous. The salesman answered all my questions and was easy to reach. The work was scheduled promptly and they arrived when they said that they would. The foreman was courteous and helpful and took time to answer my questions and speak to me about the work being done. They sent a large team to finish the job quickly and they cleaned the surrounding yard very well (we only found a few stray nails and pieces of debris). I would use them again and recommend them.

When they went up on the roof to give us a quote, they found some areas that needed resealing. They did that in addition to giving us the quote for a whole new roof. I feel confident that with the work that they did I can put off the replacement for another 2 years, which they assured us would be the case.

Over he past five years or so we have had a problem with ice daming and leaking into two of the three sets of window off the mansard portion of our roof. Some other people in our community had added these "crickets" to solve the leaking problem. We had used Fichtner for several other jobs and hav always been very happy with the results. This modification to our roof has exceeded our xpdtqtions.

I contacted Fichtner to assess the roof condition on a 20 year old home that I had recently purchased. They were able to quickly schedule an assessment with Kevin who showed up on time and performed an extremely thorough inspection by walking the entire roof top and accessing every part of the my attic space. Kevin provided me with photos of numerous exterior deficiencies such as missing shingles, loose nails, cracked pipe collars, and worn shingles. Additionally he made note of several indicators of mild leaks within the attic. He provided an overall recommendation for a full roof replacement given its condition and recommended several shingle options. Before leaving he provided a shingle brochure with samples. Fichtner provided a written quote within 3 days and I choose to go with Fichtner over a competing offer due to Fichtner's promptness and attention to detail. After signing the contract, FIchtner was able to schedule the installation within two weeks. The installation was led by Jan who was upfront in stating the job would likely roll into two days based on the specifics of the installation. Jan reviewed the details of the installation and showed me some of the different materials that would be going on the roof (drip guards, pipe collars, etc). The crew was able to complete the full tear off and 90% of the installation on day one and returned on day two to finish up the job. The crew did a great job of cleaning up after day one and Jan ensured that the area was completely cleared by the end of the second day. Overall, I am very satisfied with the service, installation, and quality of the end product.

It went well. The review of the roof and photos provided both before and after were very helpful and reassuring as a record of the work. Very polite and well informed crew did the work.

We were extremely impressed with Fichtner. Meghan was very friendly, professional, and efficient with scheduling our appointment for a roof inspection to investigate a water stain/possible leak in the roof. Kevin called prior to showing up to let us know he was 5 minutes away. Kevin was also very professional, friendly, and efficient, and he went right to work investigating our recent water stain. He identified the issue while in the attic above the closet and did not even need to get up on our roof. In comparison, we had another company scheduled a day prior, 3 people showed up, took a look at the roof from the street and said that it was too high; they did not even come to the door to let us know, but rather called from the street (importantly, I was very clear when scheduling the appt that our roof is VERY high and he said that would not be a problem). We would definitely recommend Fichtner to others and we will absolutely have them back if/whenever needed. We appreciate their great service/expertise/integrity.

Fichtner Services completed all scheduled contracted work. In addition, I asked the workers to inspect the roof for any additional minor repairs while they were working on the roof. They repaired a few loose shingles and sealed around the Dormers. My only issue is the office needs to communicate with clients - letting you know they've received the paperwork contract and check, and where you are in the order of the scheduling. When a roof is leaking, it is very stressful not knowing when the repair will be made. Otherwise things seem to have gone well.

The entire staff was great from the very beginning. Mike, the salesman, came out, heard what I needed, immediately got up on the roof and did all his measurements and then told me he would email me the next day with all the different estimates I asked for and nothing else. No pressured sales pitch, no extra additional this or that's unless I asked for it. We met 3-4 more times afterword to go through options and numbers and he answered every email or phone call promptly with patience and specific answers. It was a great experience for what was to be a very high priced job for us. Once the contract was set, the work crews showed up bright and early on he scheduled day and worked until late each day to get the job done as quickly as possible. We also appreciated that they wore booties or just took off their shoes when they needed to come inside. Shawn, the site supervisor during the siding and window installation, freely answered questions and updated us regularly with the progress. Somehow the crew made this fairly stress free even while we were taking care of a 2 year old in the house at the same time. My only criticism was that there was a fair amount of broken glass that didn't get cleaned up in an area where they needed to struggle a tiny bit with some difficult to remove windows. To be fair, the guys were doing their clean ups pretty much in the dark as they worked so late but I do have to keep an extra eye on my son when he plays outside in that area.. The house looks great and we will definitely use them again for any future work.

We recently hired Fichtner Services to bring our insulation up to standard in the attic. The first thing I noticed was the preparation that the tech (Carl) did prior to starting the job. He covered every inch of the areas he would be accessing the work area. He was polite during the entire time he was here, and upon finishing he cleaned up after himself as good as I have ever seen from a contractor. The office staff was also very professional each time we spoke. I would recommend this company to anyone.
