We scheduled an appointment immediately, and we got 6 inches of snow, so we rescheduled. The next appointment, we got more snow. They are trying as hard as they can to get the problem resovled but the weather hasn't been cooperating.

They had to come back a couple of times because there was one area that was still leaking from the roof. Also, they didn’t use the right size fluting for the door. I would just recommend them with slight reservations – not big reservations. I wouldn't have had them do the trim work but they offered that it was something more they could do for me. I would have waited and had the painters do it had I known, but everything else was a good job. I do understand repairs are trickier than replacements so that may be why I had problems with the roof leaking still. Overall, we had an excellent experience with Fichtner from the start. Our sales representative was very honest and open about the process. He was able very responsive with all of our questions prior to signing the contract. On the day of the project, the crew was prompt and professional. The onsite supervisor reviewed the process before starting and this made us feel at ease. The crew covered our house with tarps and did a great job containing the mess of tearing off the old shingles. The crew replaced a few pieces of plywood that had mold and made sure they showed them to us before replacing them. They paid attention to the smallest details. Throughout the 2 day process, our site supervisor made sure everything was going smoothly with the crew and addressed any questions we had. He called us (since we were not home the entire time) with any questions he had for us. They crew did an awesome job cleaning up any debris that fell to the ground during the job. When the job was complete, we did a final walk through with our site supervisor. He was extremely knowledgeable and professional. My husband and I felt very confident with the quality of work and professionalism. We highly recommend Fichtner Services. They were wonderful and we are very satisfied customers.

They were excellent absolutely. They got garden yard all cleaned up and they were great. They ended up replacing some roofing material. They were very polite, redressed which always makes a good impression and there was really good follow up too because I ended up getting like two phone calls afterwards to make sure that I hadn't had any leaks. That was just a nice experience all the way round. The price that they charged was excellent. I recommended them to one of my coworkers at work who had them put in skylights and she had exactly the same experience with them.

Did a good job. They responded quickly with an emergency tarp to protect us from a major storm as we waited to get the repair done.

They haven’t come back for the quote on the siding. I haven’t had any problems so far with them with the quote process and they have been very responsive. They were here exactly on time and I was running a bit late and they waited for me. They treated me very professionally.

They were very attentive to keeping dust to a minimum and providing a high quality finished product.

They did a great job cleaning up too.

Fichtner Services was very good, as always. I had been meaning to make my annual late fall/ early winter gutter cleaning appointment with them, but, was delayed in scheduling my cleaning this year. And, with the unusually cold temeratures now into the month of January, I wasn't sure how quickly Fichtner was going to make it out to our home. Well, considering the temperatures, and, considering how many customers Fichtner has, I was very pleased to have the cleaning completed at the first opportunity. It was done within a 10 to 14 day period of my (albeit delayed) request. I was very pleased with the work, and, they even recommended that I eventually have the corregated plastic extension be replaced. I will keep using this company for all my gutter cleaning and repair needs. Thanks Fichtner!!

Roof replacement. Awesome job.

I originally had them come to give me a quote on fixing my roof and they did not try to do an up sell. Gave me a quote to fix my roof problems and then I asked for a full roof replacement and decided to go with that. The guys did a great job. It was a full tear off and even though your yard looks a mess while that is going on, when they left, it was like they were never there. There was not one shingle or nail to be found it my yard. I was very happy with the final results.

A piece was missing allowing squirrels to enter my attic. They came out quickly made the assessment , quoted a price and did the repair. I did not have to be present for any work . It was quick and easy.

During a heavy rain storm we developed a leak in our living room ceiling. During an inspection of the roof it was discovered an area of the roof had no sheeting and no shingles. The ice and water shield and step flashing on the front and back walls of the house were poorly installed. Some of the siding had to be removed. Two pieces of the soffit were missing. The flashing on the bay window was very thin and in heavy winds could flex and allow water to get under it. Contacted Fichtner Services for an estimate. An appointment was set up within a day or two. Kevin came out and gave a very reasonable estimate. He showed me the pictures he took. Explained how the work would be done. I was concerned the wood was rotten since there was no sheeting or shingles. Kevin didn't think that was a problem but gave me the cost of what a sheet of ply wood would cost. I was told it might take 3 weeks before the job could be scheduled. I was called less then 2 weeks and scheduled the job. There was a rain delay so we had to reschedule. The crew that came out was very nice. They cleaned up the yard. Worked none stop. Kevin came to the house to ensure everything was going well. Because of the lateness of the day the crew had to come back and complete the window flashing. They used a magnet to pick up the nails from the driveway. Megan in scheduling was very nice. All in all this was a good experience. I would use Fichtner again.

I am very happy with Ficthner's service. From the estimate, to having answers taken care of, to the crew that actually worked on my roof, they were wonderful! I had several estimates and they were the best. The whole team was very professional. I would definitely recommend them. Great job!

They were extremely professional. They were always very attentive, prompt and a competitive price. They didn’t have the lowest but wasn’t the highest either. The work was done very well and cleaned up nicely. The project only took about a day and a half.

Had several companies in the area come out and provide estimates for replacing all the roof shingles and two old cracked skylights. We were having some minor roof leaks from the 25+ year old builder grade shingles. Fichtner Services was by far both the most professional during their initial visit and provided the lowest overall estimate for the job. They arrived on the date specified and completed the entire job in two days as they stated. This is a large and steep roof and replacing the skylights provided an extra challenge. The did a good job cleaning up all yard after the job was completed. I only found a few wayward shingles. The also did a fine job installing the two skylights. No interior painting or patching was required. I will use them again in the future.

Work that was done was great - but I did have a few issues reminding them to call me back with prices and reminding them to get over and take care of the small jobs. Obviously they would rather do larger jobs. Prices are competitive to high.

I have absolutely no complaints. The work is excellent. Their customer service exceeded my expectations. And, their follow through is great. I got the GAF golden pledge warranty. After the work had been completed, I got a letter from Fichtner that they had forwarded my documentation for the warranty to GAF; that I didn't need to do anything; and, that I would be hearing from GAF. Last Saturday, I got the letter from GAF confirming the warranty and explaining what they would do next. Most reassuring that you can hire a contractor that will do what they say they will do without having to supervise them. I am sure they would say I was not their easiest customer to deal with because I asked a lot of questions and wanted the details in writing. They responded well and went beyond meeting my expectations. As I stated previously, I would hire them again. I decided not to replace my cedar siding this time around, but stained it instead. If and when I decide to replace it with Hardi-plank, Fichtner Services will be high on my list as the contractor of choice. GREAT EXPERIENCE !

I was extremely pleased with the final result.From start to finish every employee responded to my needs.From the office staff including Megan and Tom Fitchtner was involved in making sure my needs were met. The crew worked hard under extreme heat to get the job completed on time.Ray Harvey and Jan Schmidt were on the site and made sure the job ran well.I had a great time watching the job and got a great response to my questions. I would hire Fichtner Services again and i will recommend them to my neighbors. I has a GAF Camelot II roof installed and I ave had many compliments on the rich look this roof brings to my home. Hire these guys, you will be glad you did!!

Roofing crew arrived and began work before 7:30 a.m., and everything they needed to do the job arrived within a half hour, including shingles and a dumpster. Shortly after, another crew arrived to begin construction of the skylight and a third crew arrived to install insulation in the attic. The property was crawling with hard-working well-mannered workers and the entire job was complete, including clean-up, by 8:30 p.m. when the last person left. A supervisor came by several times throughout the day and provided guidance to the workers and communication with us. The next day, he returned with a metal detector to search for any nails that might have dropped into the grass and make sure the job was perfect. It was! Fichtner was recommended to us by several people and we have since recommended them to several other people. Awesome!

Fichtner's was very responsive from the onset of booking an estimate and the actual installation. They were prompt and very professional. The office was pleasant and very proficient in all their communications (booking job, deposits, and providing the final bill). It seems like they stay on top of every job--they have a very good system. The service (blown-in insulation) was completed for a small townhome attic space with limited access. We received other quotes from other companies which were extremely high and they also tried to sell other unnecessary services. I needed a competent service at a fair price and that is just what I got. I can see why they are a "Readers Choice" preferred business service. I would highly recommend them for all services they provide, not just for insulation.

Mike came out and climbed up on my roof to take measurements and then sat down with me to explain what it would cost, the difference bewteen certain shingles, the warranties, and the option of adding insulation while they were doing the roofing. I became interested in the insulation, and he even drew pictures for me to explain how the baffles worked when I was having trouble visualizing it. Later, when I was going to sign the contract, he even climbed into my dirty, unfinished attic to make sure my bathroom vents weren't venting directly into the attic. When the installation day came, the roofersarrived on time, and Ray, the supervisor, explained everything that would be happening. When the workers had to access my attic from inside to modify the hatch, they put down drop cloths every step of theway. Removing the old shingles was noisy, but nailing down the new ones was not as loud as I was expecting. They were there from 8:00 in the morning until 7:30 in the evening. The clean up was great, and they ran a long magnet on a stick through the lawn and flower beds to find all the old roofing nails--they were very thorough. Everyone was very nice, and the new roof looks great.

The work was done excellent as far as we've seen so far. We had a leak in the upstairs bedroom and it was discovered that the roof was damaged. It took a little more time to get the work done than expected, but everyone was very professional and courteous. Once the scheduled appointments were on the calendar they were extremely punctual. Price was reasonable. Clean up was great.

We are selling the house. Needed to do the minimal repair work. Went with a minimal EPD replacement.

Outstanding experience all around. Fichtner Services was responsive to the original bid request and all additional information exchanges. Crew was on time and extremely effiicent. Management team was thoroughly professional--from sales rep to project supervisor to office staff manning the phones. Removed existing shingles and underlayment from a 19 year old house. Installed: - leak barrier to eaves, valleys and penetrations; - moisture barrier over roof deck - drip edge, flahing and collars - architectural shingles - shingled ridge vent Impressive choreography...no other way to describe it. While a portion of the roof deck was exposed after removal of old shingles, pulled up a panel to insert hose (and person) for blown-in insulation to increase depth of fiberglass in the attic...all while additional striping of old shingles continued elsewhere on the roof. Timed the arrival of new roofing material (delivered by flatbed with crane) to match availabilty of the work area. Ensured deck was water tight (moisture barrier and most of the shingles) in place at the end of day 1; returned to finish the job on day 2 in a handful of hours. Conducted thorough clean up and timely repair of two window screens damaged in the roofing process. Encountered a problem accessing the chimney fascia (positioning/height of chimney and odd design angles) and worked with me to remove some ladder approach hazards and brought a crew in separately to complete the job.
