The salesperson was very responsive and thorough. Once we made our decision and selected the materials we wanted the schedule was set. I really didn't think it would get done all in one day but it was! Dumpster delivered in AM and gone by the end of the day. No evidence of trash/debris. The crew was very professional, got right to work and work steady throughout the day until completion.

Owner replied promptly to phone message and quickly arranged inspection and estimate. Other companies were offering a similar repair for about $125, but were unable to make the repair in a reasonable time frame. Fichtner's price of $450 did include inspection of all other flashing on the roof, however, I never received a report about the other areas of the roof. Therefore I gave a letter grade C for pricing. Otherwise, excellent service.

Had new roof and gutters installed. Had to reschedule a few times due to the weather but once work was started the team was very thorough and professional. Took 2 and half days to complete work and I am very pleased with the outcome. Gutter installers missed my shed but promptly came out to finish it once I called.

Everything went according to schedule. The entire job was completed in 2 days. The crew did a great job and the supervisors kept me informed of the progress of the job and answered all of my questions. My property was left spotless when the job was complete.

I had done an extensive review of Angie's List contractors and narrowed them down to two. After getting estimates from these finalists, I got a more confident feeling from this contractor, being more impressed by this salesman's expertise and willingness to explain the technical factors of roofing and the advantages of selecting options that enhance energy conservation. I also felt more comfortable that this business had received the highest AL rating, that it was a family-owned operation for many years which would be around for many more if the labor warranties needed to be utilized, and that they used the highest grade of shingles with the longest warranties all transferable for whoever bought my home in the future. The 9-man crew arrived at 8:30am and finished everything, including clean-up, by 5:00pm. My home looks a lot better and my upper floor is decidedly cooler this summer. Couldn't be more satisfied!

We are selling this house and the roof passed inspection! This was our goal. The biggest problem was getting the work on the schedule because of the rain. This, however, is out of everyone's control.

We are so happy with the work that was completed by Fichtner Services. The job was completed twice as fast as estimated (we were originally told it would take 2 days but they brought enough people to complete in one day). They showed up on time and were very professional in all of the work that was completed. Knowing that they were coming to re-do work that had been previously done, they wanted to ensure that we were happy with the work as it was completed. The work completed looks much more professional and we are very happy with the sliding door that was installed. We would definitely use Fichtner Services again!

They were great! The salesperson, Kevin, was wonderful. He took the time to really figure out why my ceiling was leaking. I had another contractor tell me it was because of a leaky chimney. Kevin found the actual problem, which saved me a lot of money. I had to schedule the crew when I wasn't home. The company called me to see if I was satisfied and I asked them to fix how the screws were visible from the installation of the gutter. They came out right away and fixed it. Everything was wonderful!! I highly recommend them.

We met a couple of times to a**** the windows inside and out thoroughly and to determine our best option before beginning which gave us confidence. In the end the assessment was perfectly accurate and the work needed was done with skill, attention to detail, and the workers were friendly, hard working, and clean. It took some time to sort out our options and get scheduled, but we have worked with them before and knew what to expect time wise and in terms of quality of craftsmanship. Window replacement is not cheap, but I recommend Fichtner for the quality of their work and professionalism.

I was very satisfied with Fichtner Services. They responded to my initial request in a timely manner. Kevin provided my quote. He answered all of my questions and even responded to my questions in a timely manner that I had later. Meghan was also helpful at answering all of my questions. The work was actually completed fast than anticipated.

Everyone we worked with at this company was very professional, thorough, and friendly. The roof replacement itself was done in 1 day and went smoothly. We are pleased with the results and would use this company again for other services.

The work was done on time and it looks beautiful! The combination of shingle and metal is outstanding. The sun tunnels have made a huge difference in an upstairs hall and bathroom --can't believe the amount of light. The skylights in an upstairs room over the garage have changed the appearance on the outside and made a huge difference in the room. A skylight was also installed with the new metal roof on the front porch and it is bringing much needed light into the area. Everything was done prior to our going on vacation as they promised. The supervisors and sales people did their jobs with great professionalism as did the workers. Putting the metal on a turret three stories up was fabulous and the workmen did an outstanding job. The installers cleaned up after themselves as they did the install. Also, cedar wood had to be replaced in a number of places around the house and this was done expertly. The new drains are larger and based on recent thunderstoms, are more than doing the job. While the cost of this was high, we are aware of the scale of the job and essentially the end result justified the costs.. We are very pleased with Fichtner Services and would readily recommend them and use them again for other services.

Had a great experience with everyone. Jan was our point of contact and he did a great job with communication. The roofers were respectful of the property as they removed the existing roof and put on the new one. After the roof was complete, the gutter guys came in the next day and did their work in the projected time with no problems. They responded great to a small change in scope to address a preexisting drainage problem. I know I won't need them again for a roof, but I'd recommend them in a heart beat to anyone.

"In a nutshell, the job went very well and I am entirely pleased with the results. Job required two full days of work with the first day dedicated to performing all of the roofing work, whereas the second day was devoted to doing the guttering and fascia board wrap (and the porch beam wrap). A supervisor was at the job site for almost all of the roofing work - something I considered to be a real plus, especially when a damaged roof ply was discovered. A supervisor was on-hand for the beginning of the guttering and fascia wrap work too. The roofing and gutter materials were installed expertly. Every effort was made to protect landscaping around the house (tearing off an existing roof is a messy job) while the old roof was removed. On both days, the workers arrived at the scheduled time and immediately got to the tasks at hand. I did all of my interfacing with the on-site supervisors and we went over all of the work to be performed and also discussed specific aspects of the installation (e.g., how the downspouts from the upper roof were to be run to the gutters on the porch, colors, etc.) just to be absolutely sure that the work would be done to my satisfaction. There was no damage to our property and the crew (and supervisors) went around the house looking for staples, nails and screws the always seem to end up where they shouldn't be. Even the dumpster driver policed the driveway for debris after loading the dumpster on his truck. A magnetic pick-up bar was used as well, but that doesn't work on aluminum nails, so a visual search had to be done for those. "From the initial contact with a Fichtner sales rep at a local home show, to the site survey and estimate, to contract signing and scheduling, and finally the work - I was impressed with the professionalism and responsiveness of the Fichtner staff. No BS, no gimmicks -- just straight up talk. The best part is that Fichtner delivered on workmanship. I am very happy with this contractor and I would use them again for other work, including recommending them to others in need of their services."

Customer service in advance, during, and after was excellent. A large crew arrived on time and got to work. They were polite, professional, and worked hard from beginning to end. The project manager was knowledgeable and kept us well informed. When the old roof was removed, we learned that there was an uninsulated area and some venting issues that weren't apparent earlier. An estimate was obtained to for this additional work and we decided to add this in. The manager quickly adjusted plans to accommodate these changes, obtained materials needed, and kept the crew informed. After a long day, all debris was cleaned up and removed. We were not on site the day the flat section of the roof was completed the following week, but were also pleased with the results!

Fichtner Services was very professional and responsive in doing this job. They came in with a reasonable estimate, with no hard sell on some of the extras pushed by other companies. All the people we talked and dealt with were pleasant and helpful with details and explanations, as well as discussions of what was necessary, desirable and what was not. We had to reschedule 3 times due to bad weather, and we were notified each time in a timely manner, and on the day that the roof did get replaced, there was a full team of workers there (starting out with 10 workers) and the job was done neatly, politely, and in one day. The crew chief was very easy to work with, and seemed to get along with his workers, who were treated fairly. My only criticism would be regarding the policy of sending some of the workers to another site after ripping off the old roof. If they had stayed, the job would have been done around 4:30, a long but reasonable work day (they started at 8 am). As it was, the team was there until almost 8 pm, a 12 hour day! That doesn't seem right to me, and Fichtner Services ought to do something to lighten the work load. Overall, though, a very positive experience, and the roof seems fine. We would definitely consider going to them again for other work.

We have used Fichtner Services for over three years for both our home and our daughters. This company truly understands what quality workmanship and customer service is all about. Nolan, their project estimator, is thorough and capable and a pleasure to do business with. Stacey and Megan, customer schedulers, are extremely pleasant and keep you informed of arrival times and adjustments to the planned activity. All went well. I was impressed with his explanations & pictures to start with. He showed me the problems & how he would solve them. And the price. The men came at the appropriate ttime did a good job & cleaned up . The estimater was accurate.

Without doubt, this was the very best renovation experience I have ever had -- and I have gone through quite a few. The entire life cycle of the project was without a hitch. The sales experience was professional and no pressure. The workmanship was outstanding. I was delighted with the daily communications from the project coordinator once work started -- this winter's weather was a challenged. I was contacted by email every morning with who would be at the property and what was scheduled to be performed. If work was delayed by weather, I was notified. . At the end of the day I would receive a full report, often accompanied by photographs. Even the billing was done well and organized to help my submission to BGE Conservation Dept. for energy credits. Fichtner is the best contractor with which I have worked and the Fichtner team has my unqualified endorsement.

Excellent service. Inspected my roof and replaced missing shingles. Service was completed on time. Clean up was complete and excellent.

Mike was extremely helpful and professional. He arrived on time, worked efficiently and the job was completed in the time allowed with the coupon. I cannot believe how pristine the caulking looks and the tiles look like new! He noticed a problem that needs to be addressed and was very thorough in presenting us the options and potential costs. I definitely recommend Fichtner and will certainly use them in the future.

The salesman was very polite & nice but I felt as though he was in a hurry. He didn't take the time to explain details. Again, he was very nice but I felt as though he was just going through the motions. If I am going to spend $7000-$10000 I'd like to know exactly what I'm getting.

Our roof replacement was outstanding. We had received an estimate 2 years ago and weren't quite ready for the job. We contacted Fichtner again (Mike) who came out and provided an updated quote for service. the price was consistent with the original quote. We have approximately 2100 square ft of roof and a membrane roof for a porch ( 700 sq ft). We also requested a drip edge throughout. The job was performed very promptly professionally by our Site Manager (Jan). The crew arrived early and we were contacted continuously regarding any concerns or need for plywood replacement. The roof is absolutely beautiful (I never thought I would say this about a roof). Apparently the roofing crew has worked together as a team for 18 years and their experience definitely reflects this. My husband was incredibly pleased with the job from start to finish. All landscape areas were protected and undamaged. Our replacement shingles which were left by the company were neatly stacked on the porch. We have not found a single roofing nail in the yard. The staff at Fichtner remained in contact with us through emails, scheduling and through the warranty process. I would definitely recommend Fichtner to anyone I know. We are very, very pleased!
