We had obtained 2 other estimates from well known large companies; both seemed high so we searched for a local owned business & found Hamilton Plumbing & Heating & Air Conditioning...family owned & operated since 1978. Still we were not sure so we joined Angie's List to see the reviews for this company. All of the reviews were stellar so we gave them a call . Vernon Jr came to our house within a day & gave us an estimate that was more than fair & about $1200 less than 1 company & almost $2000 less than the other company. Larger companies may be fine but who is paying for their TV commercials & advertising? You are. I know people that have had work done by these other companies & were OK with them . But we were VERY happy with the prompt response from Hamilton : VERY happy with the price; VERY happy with the work. Vernon Sr & JR work together. Our condo utility room is outside on our patio & not roomy. There was equipment all over the place . Every last piece of old equipment, wiring, shavings, dust ,trash was ALL removed . Totally professional & nice as can be...glad we found the reviews on Angie's List.

Went Great! I found them on AL and after reading a little about the company I gave them a call for our Hot Water Heater - Taking Cold Showers is for the birds. Came out same day I called them and stayed till about 9m. From start to finish Hamilton were professional. Family owned and operated business that doesn't sub out to illegals to do the hard work for them. They take pride in customer satisfaction and ensuring that you know what's going on - very down to earth straight shooters. They wont try to hustle you or up sell services or products. I initially had them come out for the Hot Water Tank but when I seen their shirts it also said AC - So after talking it over with the wife we decided to let them look at our AC Unit. They looked at everything, changed the filter, and gave it a charge - had it working in no time. Now instead of freezing with cold showers I'm freezing with the AC - but I'll take that kind of freeze when it's 100 degrees out. We have an older unit and our system is over 20 years old and has leak so Vernon did recommend we consider upgrading our system because there is a life expectancy of these systems that has expired. He was kind enough to write us up a quote for that as well - again this wasn't an up sell but honest straight forward advice. Overall I'm very satisfied with the entire experience and would hire them again when we need them. Professionalism, Manners, Ethics go a long way with me - I will continue to support Professional Family Owned Christian American Businesses that put both their customers first and America. We as consumers on Angies List Should INSIST on 100% Native Born USA Workers. We have used Hamilton Plumbing twice in last 3 months and are very pleased with the work they did. They arrived on time and got right to work. They were very knowledgeable and honest. We plan to use them again in the future if needed and we will definitely recommend them to family and friends in the area.

We had our heat pump and air handler replaced. We had just used Hamilton to replace our garbage disposal. We were very pleased with the promptness and professionalism with installation of the disposal and decided to get an estimate that day for the HVAC. Vernon was very informative and explained all the options. He did not push any particular system (size) but gave us plenty of info so we could make our own decision so we could get was was best for us (for the house and our budget). On the day of installation they were on time and prepared area for easy clean up. Vernon even got our new Xfinity thermostat hooked up so we could control it remotely. The system has been working beautifully. We will be using them in the future.

The first time we called them, we had our house on the market and the shower diverter stopped working. They came in and had to do more work than we expected, due to the age of the house (which is a recurring issue with old houses). However, they did a great job and quickly so that we could continue to show the house. The second time, we had already moved out of state and were going through the inspection process with the new buyer. There was some plumbing work to be done (fixing the sump pump, basement toilet and laundry room drain). Ernie was flexible and met with our realtor for timing to get the job done... quickly, efficiently and again, at a good price. I have recommended them to my friends and highly recommend to everyone. Very responsive, get the job done and at a good price.

I woke up this morning with no AC and weather man said today was supposed to be the hottest day of the summer so far. I panicked. Everyone I called said they couldn't fit me in for 2 weeks OR said a tech might come after 6pm but would charge a $79 fee for diagnostics before they even did any work. I called Hamilton Plumbing and the owner answered the phone. Said he would be at my house in 10 mins. He showed up 5 minutes later in a marked Hamilton truck, diagnosed and replaced our capacitor, checked our air filter and offered some maintenance recommendations. He was very polite and professional. He charged $243 for the job. It only took him 15 minutes to fix everything. I have no idea what the going rate is for this type of repair, but I thought he was great! I have two young children and work from home... you can't put a price on working AC in 100 degree weather. I am a home owner that currently rents out the property in Maryland. The tenants contacted me regarding a leak in the kitchen ceiling. I live in Texas, so any issues regarding repairs could sometimes be quite the challenge when trying to find a good company to get the job done right the first time! I searched angies list and came across Hamilton Plumbing and Heating. Vernon was great from the start! He was very professional and courteous. He went to the property, diagnosed the problem and contacted me with a very thorough explanation of repair and what needed to be done. He completed the work and also honored their coupon for first time costumers with no questions asked! I have found my "go to" guys for A/C and plumbing repairs! Thanks Vernon!

I called on a Friday and Vernon and Vernon were able to come out Monday afternoon. They finished within two hours, which was quick considering the company I hired years ago to install the previous shower skit took more than three hours. The price ($400 - 10% Angie's List discount) was higher than I had hoped for, but the work was well done and they offered a lifetime warranty where they could (did not cover parts since I purchased separately; could not cover any leaks around shower diverter handle since the valve was too close to the faucet head). They pointed out these issues and made me aware of it prior to signing off on the work. I would hire them again.

Vernon checked and diagnosed the downstairs system, He had to de-ice it and added refrigerant. He indicated that it was possible that I had a small leak and to keep a close eye on how it was cooling and to call if I had issues. He was very knowledgeable and thorough in checking the system and made sure it was properly cooling. When he came back the following day, he checked the upstairs system and added some refrigerant there as well. He advised me on how to set my vents in the upstairs rooms to get the maximum efficiency from the system. I was very impressed with the knowledge and professionalism of Vernon and would definitely use him again.

I had a new gas water heater installed, and from the very start when I called Vernon it was excellent service. On the day of the appointment they arrived on time, through the entire process they were courteous and professional, they can handle any complication they come across. Completed the job in less then 3 hours, and when they finished cleaning up you wouldn't know that they were there in conclusion great team work. It's very rare now days to find a company with people that you can trust and that are dependable, so I am very happy that I found them on Angie's List. I highly recommend them!

Vernon was able to come the same day I emailed him through Angie's List. He came and complete the repairs in little over an hour. He also include a 10% discount for a first time customer. It was a pleasant experience.

Vernon and his son Vernon installed a replacement AO Smith gas water heater. It was just after a snowstorm and they arranged to replace the unit promptly. Vernon scheduled the appointment but was able to arrive approximately 4 hours early. What a pleasant surprise considering we had no hot water. The job was completed in a timely fashion, and they were courteous and polite. They cleaned up everything when the job was done. Another great surprise was that they confirmed that all my gas appliances throughout the house functioned properly prior to leaving. The job was done on budget with no hidden surprises. I would recommend them to anyone who asks. Great job!

This is the third time I've used Hamilton Plumbing and Heating. They are one of those rare, hard-to-find companies that I completely trust. I've been so happy with their services in the past that I trust the quality of their work, their prices, and their professionalism completely. They are always extremely responsive, honest, and communicative. They always explain everything well and never trying to sell me anything I don' t need. They completed all of the the tasks in a single day, and just one day after I met with them to discuss all the issues and their rates always surprise me, I'm always expecting it to cost more than they charge. I will always use them for any plumbing and heating needs.

.Very easy to amke the appointment online. Very responsive. Was able to schedule appointment on a day and time that was convenient. Arrived within the specified timeframe. Both Vernon and his son were very professional and friendly. Confirmed cost of repairs that we had discussed via email before starting work. Did work very quickly at a reasonable cost. They even reconnected the washer and dryer that I had moved out of the way so they could get to the pipes. Would definetly use again!

Initially called for slow toilet. Then inquired about new water heater (since ours was getting old) and slow drains. We live in a 1930's house that still had old pipes going to the bathroom. Vernon Frost and his son Vernon arrived to give an estimate on time. After they explained the work that we wanted, and what they recommend, they gave us an estimate and we set the date for the following week. On that day they called to say they were at the supply house and would be a few minutes late. It was an all day job and they stayed a little later to complete everything. They explained things to us as they went along so there were no surprises. They did a beautiful job with everything (very neat and complete cleanup) and my husband and I are very pleased with the their work. They are very down to earth and comfortable people to have doing work in your home. This was our first time using Hamilton and they will now be our go to plumber for any future work.

When our bathtub waste line decided to rupture around 8 PM, we called Hamilton Heating and Plumbing expecting to leave a message. We were absolutely thrilled when the phone was answered and an appointment schedule for the following day. The guys from Hamilton Heating and Plumbing were friendly and courteous. They explained the problem and explained how they were going to fix it. The rotten steel pipe was quickly cut away, the line was snaked, a new P-trap was installed and within no time what so ever, the line was tied in. Additionally, they recognized another problem - the gasket to the overflow pipe was ruptured. In short order that too was repaired. These guys care about their work. They care that the customer is satisfied. They are cost-conscious. They are efficient. I would not only call upon them in the future for my plumbing problems, I would highly recommend them.

Father and son were professional, came out on same day as call. Very efficient and reliable with their work.

This is the second time I used their services for separate plumbing issues. The first time was to fix a leaking tub. This time was to fix an issue where water would continually run into a toilet bowl (even after I replaced the flapper). They fixed the issue and had to disassemble the toilet to do so. They explained the issue very clearly and made sure everything was clean when they were done. I also asked them to take a look at a minor air conditioner issue which they quickly diagnoses and addressed at no charge. They are very friendly and professional. And their rates are extremely reasonable! I would highly recommend them!
