The plumber was on time, professional and courteous. We went through the house to show him the area's that I was concerned with. We had an idea of how we wanted to bib replacement but he explained that it would create a weak connection and would cause a leak or freeze in the winter. So we decided to just replace the bib with a new one. He did so and very quickly. He also checked around to the front hose and explained the cost associated with fixing that one (we decided not to, yet). He flushed the water heater and explained how to do it for the future. However, after using it once, the bib was leaking and when I called, they explained that they will come out right away and they did! He came back and fixed it in a jiffy; they had to go through to other houses due to the bib itself being the issue. After that, we have not had any problems. Called and scheduling was very easy and efficient.

He was punctual and did what looks like a great job. It was working perfectly after installation. Great price on Angie's Big Deal.

The provider's rep (Gus) showed up on time. He seemed to be very knowledgeable and was professional in his demeanor. I paid $119 for an Angie's special to replace an outdoor faucet. He said he could not perform this service for that price and that he would have to cut a hole in my wall to do this. Apparently, they need to have access (no drywall) to give you the $119 price. Part of the special was to inspect the "whole house" plumbing. He checked all of the toilets for leaks. Told me I need a new water heater (which I suspected). Gave me tips on how to fix some things. Tightened the outside faucet so it wouldn't leak. he went over his company's maintenance plans and pricing. This took about 2 hours. I think Benjamin Plumbing is probably an excellent plumbing firm but on the higher end price wise.

The person doing the work had to make some adjustments, but he did a great job.

They did a good job replacing the outdoor hose bib. BUT, I'm afraid they use Angie's List to get their foot in your door for other work... which is fine if they didn't try to fleece you. I wanted them to fix my Kitchen sink. I was quoted $1,134. I was told the owner sets the pricing and that's what that job costs. I trusted my gut and had another Plumbing company come out 3 days later. It took them less than 2 hours and total bill was $340. Unbelievable. Ben Franklin wanted to charge me almost 4x as much! I keep picturing these guys showing up at my Grandmother's house, and completely taking advantage. I'm totally fine if they were on the high side. High being 400-$500... but $1,100? Makes me very angry. They did good work on the hose bib that they came out there for. My complaint is Angies List's Big Deal was used as bait. They are taking advantage of the Trust members like me have, because they're on Angies List.

Never heard from the company until I complained to Angie's list. Not a good way to do business. While waiting for BF to call me, I found another company to do the job.

They came out and were very nice but it was going to be a lot more complicated and more expensive than what was covered.

This company was supposed to contact me within two business days, I never heard from them. I contacted Angie's List, who reached out to them to have the Service Provider contact me regarding scheduling. They still have not contacted me. I was very disappointed that I didn't hear from them.

They said the tech that covers my area doesn't accept Big Deals. The scheduler didn't have any knowledge of that and told me that it would be a $79 service call. She checked with her manager and gave me that information. Information could be shared among their employees a little better, especially as it relates to Angie's List Big Deals.

The workman was punctual, friendly and knowledgeable. He said that he could not replace the outside faucet because there was no access from inside the house. No refund was possible. He said that this was very common, and that many other houses had a similar problem. I think there should have been some warning on the offer, stating that access to the faucet from inside the house is necessary. I cannot review the quality of the work because it was not performed.

Provider did an excellent job. was very professional and offered other services for the future.

The customer staff at the company were great. I was late to my appointment with the repairman, and they did all they could to ensure that I got my outdoor faucet repaired on that day, regardless. The repairman was efficient and courteous, and cleaned up after himself because the outdoor shut off valve was under our kitchen sink and he had to move everything to get to the plumbing he needed to replace.

I was not thrilled with Benjamin Franklin. The cost to replace the faucet was higher than initially indicated. It wasn’t just the question of replacing the faucet. They had quite a few upsells that they were looking to do; maintenance plans. I just felt like they were looking for more. I was just a little uncomfortable on how much they wanted to move on to bigger projects. They never actually contacted me to set the appointment so I had to call them. It was a big deal purchase. The cost worked out to $600. It wasn’t the greatest experience.

He said he fixed it but had to come back because it was still running.

We actually had two teams visit our home, one for a kitchen sink leak and another for our water softner. Both pieces of equipment had to be rebuilt and the plumbing techs completed these tasks very quickly. Everyone we spoke with was very polite and did a great job.

He plumber was very pleasant and professional. Did a good job as far as I can tell.

Everything was fine with the service. They provided the work two or three weeks after I purchased the big deal and there was an additional charge on top of the big deal. When they started to look at the hose bibb, the shutoff valve on the inside was leaking so that needed to be replaced so as far as the actual deal that I bought, there were no extra charges for that but they did some additional services for me. It turned out that the front hose bibb was leaking as well and so they gave me the Angie's List deal for that as well. So, they saved me some money by just giving me the deal for both hoses. I was happy with the service and I have not had any issue since the service was provided. They were very professional and they did a great job. They actually gave me a quote on getting a new water heater and they checked back in to see if everything was okay. They were really fantastic.

Representative was prompt and professional. All work was done well. Hose bib replacement Included the need to cut through living room drywall, which I am repairing myself. Full-house plumbing inspection resulted in identification of a number of important items I was glad to know about; many I will do myself. One need in particular found in the inspection was that our water heater was 20 years old and had excessive sediment and likely damaged anode rod. I opted to have the water heater replaced during the visit. It has been working well since, though there still remains residual air in the pipes (causing knocking) when the hot water tank is filling; i have tried flushing the system twice, but have not yet cleared out the air (approximately 3 weeks after installation). All told, cost breakdown was: Hose bib (Angie's List deal): $119 (regular $370) Cutting drywall: $119 Valve replacement: $406 50-gallon water heater: $1,543 (includes 2-gallon expansion tank, permit)

The plumber was earlier that the planned time, which is what I asked for. He was extremely professional and courteous, as well as informative about basic maintenance that should be done around the house. One of the toilets needed more than a basic tune up, they applied the charge of the voucher towards the work for a nice discount. I would definitely use them again, if needed.

He came right on time. He made it clear that replacement of our spigot -- a freeze protected model -- was not covered under the Angies' Special, but I would get credit for my previous investment. He estimated that the total would be about $350. I agreed to pay in that range. He set right to work, very neatly cutting out an access hole in the wall, only to discover that there was no piping at that location! He then cut a second hole, where he found the piping. I agreed to be responsible for patching the walls. He then discovered that he didn't have on his truck the 6" freeze-proof model to replace the damaged one inside our wall. So he drove away and came back with one about an hour later. He proceeded to replace the spigot, making sure it did not leak inside or out. While the glue set (taking about 20 minutes), he volunteered to advise us on one small plumbing problem we've been experiencing elsewhere on our property. In sum, he was a real gentleman and was careful in his work,. I wish only that he had had a replacement spigot on his truck and that his total price was a bit more special.

It was fine. He also gave me some advice on what else I might want to do. Nothing stands out besides the fact that they were very courteous and professional. They were good and it's all working fine. It definitely helped out.

He was punctual nice polite etc. He said the tune up was a flapper(wow impressive) One of the toilets needed adjustment as the mechanism was hanging up and not flushing correctly. I had at least 2 other issues, and outside spigot and an indore faucet that I wanted to be looked at and fixed or repaired. He said they were both ok. The outside was not in fact. I think he was on his last stop and wanted to go home, I sympathized with him however I did not receive any real repair or fix anything. He adjusted the temp on my hot water heater.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it was really good. I liked everything. We had to change the date of the service and they were very flexible and accommodating. The guy who came out was very professional and his recommendation was not just to make money. He worked like someone I could really trust and all of his recommendations were things that we needed. We have him scheduled for something else in the next couple of weeks. He was not pushy to get it done; he just told us that we needed to get it done, but we told him we wanted to break it out so there would not be a lot of financial cost to us. He was very understanding, but at the same time he let us know how important it is. The whole thing was excellent and I would refer them. The guy who came out was amazing. We spent about $200 above the price of the Big Deal. The price was affordable for us.

Eric called before he came over. He was on time. He was pleasant and professional and as he worked it was clear that he knew what he was doing. He offered me additional services and I asked for prices for additional services. I don't mind this because i find the information helpful and he was not a hard sell, such as offering me a now or never deal. He performed the faucet deal just as advertised and during the inspection showed everything to me that he found and it was my choice to fix it now or not. I was glad to have access to him to fix the items that needed fixing and I feel better knowing these things were done. He checked everything in my house that has any water associated with it. The service included draining my hot water heater, but it was my choice to put in a new anode or not, which I did. Then I asked him to change the hoses to my washing machine. I was very happy with this service.

They were okay except to be honest some of the work they did broke within a couple of weeks of when they did the work. We were a little disappointed with them. It was a minor thing; the little handle on the toilet broke but I fixed it. They used cheap equipment but generally they were professional. They did a fine job of cleaning up but they seemed like they were a big company and didn't use the best equipment in order to save money. They were pretty responsive though.
