Description of Work: Faucet was replaced as advertised. Whole home plumbing inspection completed. In between, the representative continually tried to sell other services and products.

Description of Work: replaced front and back outside faucets, flush hot water heater, whole house plumbing inspection. Jobs went well. Would like parts made in the USA instead of using those from China, would happily pay the difference.

Description of Work: I bought the Angie's deal for a hose bib replacement and whole house inspection. After waiting for a week to hear from them via Angie's list I contacted Benjamin Franklin directly to schedule my service. If you want the service preformed close to when you buy the deal I would suggest calling directly. Once scheduled the plumber came within the time stated and performed both the hose bib replacement and the inspection. It was determined at that time that I needed a water heater anode rod (The $283 additional charge). Since I had never known about the anode rod in the water heater it was good that I had the inspection. The plumber did a great job of minimizing the access hole that he had to put in the wall to replace the hose bib.

Description of Work: Replaced outdoor faucet (hose bib). Personally I don't think they should levy a separate "walk in the door" service charge if work is done. But they said in advance they would charge that, so guess I can't complain too much. The work was done right and as scheduled. Would likely use again.

Description of Work: Gus the plumber arrived on time. He was very pleasant and professional. I was not comfortable with the estimates he gave me, so I chose not to have any work done. One estimate was for a minor toilet rebuild to replace a leaking gasket at $283. I ended up doing it myself for about $35 in parts. Another estimate was for a major toilet rebuild at $493 that another plumber did for $195.

Description of Work: The deal was great, and he did some other work as well. He explained everything he was doing, and pointed out some things that need to be taken care of. Extremely thorough and professional, but their prices are a bit high.

Description of Work: Plumber came to replace an outdoor faucet and to do a house survey of all plumbing. He arrived on time. When I showed him the leaking faucet that needed to be replaced, he discovered that it was very difficult if not impossible to replace, because he would need to get into an almost inaccessible crawl space under the house. Instead, he thought he could repair the faucet, and was able to do so. He then did the house survey and found one old toilet that had a leaking tank. In all, he spent about an hour at our house. I think this was well worth the price.

Description of Work: This was an Angie's List discounted inspecton of plumbing, including toilets, sink, etc. The plumber was very knowledgeable. He wrote down recommendations. Provided me names of toilets that he recommended and also where to buy them. He was professional, considerate, answered questions and showed me his findings. I was aware that I needed toilets as they are over 20 years old and get clogged frequently. He did not try to sell me anything that I did not need. He also used a long instrument to unclog a toilet to make it run more efficiently. He informed me what the stains on the toilet were from. The cost to replace from this company was higher than most, but they are professional and it may be worth the additional cost.

Description of Work: I ordered the Big Deal for a outdoor hose bib replacement and a whole house plumbing inspection. Turned into the plumber having to rip out a portion of a wall to access the interior portion of the pipe, to replace the hose bib. For labor and materials, this set me back an additional $283.00. Every Big Deal that I have purchased has had an extra charge to correct some other problem that is related to what I wanted repaired.
