Description of Work: I contacted the Tree People because they were listed on Angie's List as a provider who would give an estimate for lawn work. I asked for a price on sod and landscaping, and trimming branches from a tree in the front yard. I was given a price for tree removal. When I emailed to inform them that they had not given me an estimate for the items that I requested no one ever responded to the email.

Description of Work: The Tree People cut up a large tree limb that fell during a bad storm and cut down the remainder of the tree, stump grinded the stump and main tree roots and cut the tree into manageable sections so that we could split it for fire wood. They even came back at our request to move the cut pieces into a pile on one side of our yard and did some more stump grinding for us. They provided the best price for the job and completed the job quickly and professionally.

Description of Work: They trimmed our twice injured Bradford Pear tree. They came on time with initial assessment and stated the tree was worth saving. After 2 other company comparisons, we chose them,and they were on time, did a great job, and cleaned up good. They also saved us a good sum.

Description of Work: The service provider has yet to finish the job. They said they would feed my tree. But on the day they did not have the equipment with them. They promised to return and feed the tree, but so far have not done so, even though I called them to remind them.

Description of Work: Third time we have used them, this experience same as the former. Prompt service, experienced well informed crew, and as the previous times we contracted them, they were asking if there was anything else they could do. Friendly, respectful, clean up after themselves, they are like the perfect house guest! |They removed about 15 small trees, a couple medium size, and climbed a large tree overhanging a fence to remove dead branches and some live branches leaning over the fence. They ground all the stumps and shredded all the trees and limbs. Very happy with the work as usual.

+ -1 moreTree people were excellent! We had gotten a couple of estimates and they came in the lowest, but their quality was not jeapardized by the price. They offered good counsel on what to remove. They arrived on time and went to work cutting down the huge tree in the back yard and then grinding 2 the stump and another stump of a smaller tree we had cut down. It was entirely entertaining watching the young man in the harness swing from tree to tree with a chain saw trimming the overhanging limbs. They had a crew on the ground that was hauling off the limbs and wood that was cut and they also cleaned with rakes the debris. There were some limbs from my neighbors yard that were hanging over our fence. I received permission from the neighbor to have those cut back. They cut her trees back a little and had already cleaned up. She came out and asked if they could trim the trees back more, they enthusiastically agreed and did not charge extra. The neighbor was extremely happy with the trim because the limbs had been blocking the sun to grass that she had had specially seeded. The overall experience with the Tree People were excellent and I would recommend.
Description of Work: Cut down a 75 ft high tree, grind 2 stumps, trim tree limb overhang, haul brush that we had piled up in the back.

I had overpaid in the check I left on the door for them and the extra money was returned as soon as my error was noticed.

+ -1 moreI called the Tree People on 3/9/2011 to get an estimate. They sent someone out a few days later and we went over what needed to be done. I believe this was on a Tuesday. He informed me that the work would be complete by the following Friday (just short of 2 weeks). When that following Friday came and went, I gave the office a call and left a message explaining that the service had not been performed. The same person who came out for the estimate stopped by my house and said there had been a scheduling problem and that the job would be done by Friday (about a week after the original finish date). Again, that Friday came and went and the work was not done. There was a day or two of inclement weather towards the end of the week, there were plenty of opportunities at the beginning of the week to get the job done - and they never comminicated with us. I waited until Monday to call the office and inform them that they were fired - I just got tired of waiting for them to come out. I'll never (try) to use them again.
Description of Work: Received an estimate for some tree work in our backyard - basically just some trimming of deadwood and overgrown branches.

I was unable to be here in person for the estimate and the work. I was extremely pleased with the follow through based on my description of what needed to be done. They were friendly, professional and very responsive!
