Phoned them at 9 a.m with a plumbing emergency and no one was available to come out that day and the person on the phone was very abrupt and dismissive so I will not call them again... luckily my second call to another plumbing company(also on Angie's List) was so much more positive and they sent someone out at about 1 p.m the same day and the problem was taken care of promptly and professionally.

The first time this plumber came to the house and replaced our water heater (which was still under warranty) in 2006, he charged $100 and did the work in about an hour without a problem since materials cost him nothing. There was no problem with this work at all. Last week, two years after the installation, the water heater he installed started leaking and needed to be replaced. The same plumber came out again and this time wanted **$450** to replace the heater. He confirmed that the water heater was still under warranty, so there would be no charge for the new heater itself. However, he insisted that he'd have to drive the water heater all the way to Annapolis (we live in Hanover, near Severn), have the distributor inspect it, and drive a new one all the way back, and he'd have to charged $125 an hour for the trip and the labor. He lied and tried to cheat us, and I can prove it. I took the sticker from the old water heater to the distributor where Millersville Plumbing (aka Millersville Mechanical) originally got it and traded it in for a new one free of charge. The distributor is in Glen Burnie, about 10 minutes from my house. They knew who this plumber was, and said that he still comes there, and that no plumber is required to bring them the old heaters for inspection. All they have to do is bring in the sticker from the heater and trade it in like I did. I got the new water heater installed for $45, *90% less* than this guy wanted to cheat me out of. Bottom Line: Something has changed at Millersville Mechanical in the last couple years. This guy now thinks he can overcharge and cheat people. Not me!

I called at 9:00 A.M and was given a time window of 12-2. Plumber showed up precisely at 12:00, assessed the work, went to supplier to get parts, returned and finished the job in about an hour. Very pleasant, knowledgeable, and professional. I will call them any time I need service in the future.

They used the line pull method, thus avoiding digging a trench. They dug holes at 50 ft intervals cut the line and removed/installed line thru a series of pulls performed by a pickup truck. I believe the price was good based on rumors but did NOT do comparison shopping. I was satisfied with the work given the lousy weather conditions and frozen ground which precluded them from neatly cutting sod and replacing as verbally promised. Also they stated work was warranted for 10 yrs. This was a case of replacing a very leaky {blue} polybutene line in the cold of winter. Done in one day.
