Ms. [removed member name]purchased the beginning of 2013, not 2014, two years ago, and after reviewing her file, there was no indication of discontent. The decorator that initially met with her, correctly, is no longer with Windo VanGo due to medical reasons, but did not take personal leave until a year after Ms. [removed member name]'s purchase. There are numerous records between our decorator and Ms. [removed member name]in an effort to choose the correct fabric for her roman shades. Although it is difficult to tell after the time lapse, it appears we made more than one trip to her home at no charge to select fabric. The custom order was fabricated and installed in the home per Ms. [removed member name]'s specifications. She did respond to our online survey nor any of the three status updates that were provided. So, we assumed she was pleased with the product. I would, personally, as owner of Windo VanGo, be pleased to meet with Ms. [removed member name]if she is not satisfied with the product and see if something can be resolved.

Description of Work: Install new shutters on front 2-story townhouse windows |I'm ashamed how long it's taken me to sing this company's praise. City townhomes look so much grander when their windows are punctuated by a classic shutter look. They visited me twice. First time, they were set into the window frame for a snug fit, but my windows open out for cleaning, making it difficult to do. But the company worked with me without issue or blowback; returned with shutters measured to work with this set up. Their professionalism, coordination and excellent product was completely satisfactory for me and would recommend them to anyone seeking an upgrade for their property.

We felt very good with our choice and the price was in the ballpark of what we expected to pay for what we wanted. We gave a deposit and set in to wait for 6 to 8 weeks. I was pleasantly surprised to get a call midway through the waiting period to advise me that they were in progress and she gave an estimated time well within what we had been told. The blinds arrived at about 6 weeks and they came to install on a day of our choice. The man who installed the blinds was very professional and detail oriented. We were very happy with the finished product and enjoy the blinds every day. I am going to have them do our upstairs blinds next.
Description of Work: I called and made an appointment for someone to come and help me pick out blinds. Elizabeth came promptly and had a case of samples with her. She offered advice, listened to our requirements and helped us choose the right blinds for our bay windows. It was very pleasant and there was no rush or pressure to choose.

The designer came to my house with samples and suggested colors. She had to come back for a final measurement on a window that was not completely installed during the first visit, during which time I changed the color of the blinds for one of the rooms with no problem. Order placed and then waited about 6 weeks for them to come in. When the guy came to install he didn't bring the blinds for one of the bedrooms, so he had to come back a few days later with those. Then one of them was 4-5 inches too short, so it had to be re-made, which took another 4 weeks. Overall, pleased with the blinds, but took a while to get it all done. I wish that the suggestion for top down/bottom up had been made for the other rooms, besides the office. Don't be afraid to pay a little more for some of the upgrades like cordless or the top down/bottom up - they're already so expensive, what's a little more.

The person who came out to talk about the installation was very easy to work with. They did have to come back a few times to re-measure and fix some crooked blinds. It ended up taking them about four trips.

Excellent. Salesperson was punctual, prepared and knowledgeable about the products and made good suggestions. She took accurate measurements. When the blinds arrived, it was easy to schedule installation. Installer showed up right on time and was very polite and careful. Windows look great. They were a little expensive but I feel I got my money's worth.

Problems started as soon as I called to make an appointment for someone to measure the window for the shade, I told them it was 10-12 feet above the floor and would require a ladder. After two weeks, a window treatment consultant showed up without a ladder and said she couldn't get the measurements. Another two weeks passed before someone else came to get the measurements. After four more weeks I called the company and they told me the shade had just came in. A week later the installer incorrectly mounted brackets that caused the shade to not set in the window frame properly. In addition, the base rail is too long and was forced in the window frame so tightly that I had to request a service call to correct the first problem. I complained to the company and ended up talking to Troy Jordan. Troy cared enough about my frustration with the whole experience to do whatever it took to make me a satisfied customer, which I am happy to report that I am.
Description of Work: Replaced an arch window honeycomb shade to block the sun from fading the furniture.

OUR DECORATORS (ALL FEMALE) ARE NOT REQUIRED TO CLIMB LADDERS, NOR DOES OUR INSURANCE COVER THEM TO DO SO. AFTER THE CUSTOMER AGREES TO THE CONDITIONS OF THE SALE AND PRICE, AN INSTALLER IS SCHEDULED TO FORM A TEMPLATE OF THE SPECIALTY WINDOW, BEING PROPERLY EQUIPPED AND INSURED. THE TEMPLATE IS THEN CONVERTED TO A DIFFERENT MATERIAL IN OUR WORKROOM, AND IN TURN, SHIPPED TO THE MANUFACTURER FOR FABRICATION. SPECIALTY TREATMENTS CAN TAKE UP TO 8 WEEKS TO BE RETURNED TO US. ONCE WE RECEIVE THE PRODUCT, WE IMMEDIATELY CONTACT THE CUSTOMER TO NEGOTIATE A TIME FRAME CONVENIENT FOR HIM/HER. THIS PROCESS OF SCHEDULING CAN DELAY THE JOB CONSIDERABLY IF THE CUSTOMER HAS A NARROW FRAME OF TIME ALLOWABLE TO INSTALL THE PRODUCT. WHEN THE SPECIALTY SHADE IS INSTALLED THERE ARE SOMETIMES ADJUSTMENTS AND/OR MODIFICATIONS THAT ARE NECESSARY TO ENSURE A PROPER FIT. THIS IS OFTEN ACCOMPLISHED AT THE HOME, BUT SOMETIMES INVOLVES A SECOND TRIP. WE DO NOT HAVE ANY ADDITIONAL CHARGES FOR EXTRA TRIPS OR PARTS THAT MAY BE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE APPLICATION. They did an excellent job. I was very pleased with the results. It took 2 months from order to installation but I would do it again. It is hard to find businesses that do quality work. They called me every week to give me a status report on my order & I never worried that there would be problems. Everything that they told me would happen in the process happened as promised.
